When you arrive, you're taken to a private room almost immediately. Changing before and after your service happens in private, in the same room as the service. Every appointment I have had was on time and I left feeling sufficiently relaxed. I've had a massage from about four of the technicians here and all have been very effective. Vanessa has to be my favorite as she gives a great service and provides aftercare advice that is similar to what my physical therapist has told me. This is a cozy, clean, welcoming, and affordable place to unwind and I will be back many more times.

I also really appreciated that he gave me almost the full time even though the massage didn't start on time bc I got there right when the massage started (as you know it takes some time to get called, paper work, undressed etc). He checked in with me throughout and increased pressure as I asked. The place is clean and comfortable. I don't know how to describe what I'm looking for in massage place but this massage place seemed to check out. Clean, reasonable prices, the therapists looked professional. My dad was so nice to treat me to a massage but our regular place at meta physica in Detroit was booked out. I was trying my best to find a similar place with no luck then I found kneaded relief.

From start to…read morefinish, she was incredibly professional, and her calm, soothing demeanor immediately put me at ease. The room itself was neat, clean, and deeply relaxing, with gentle music and a water fountain that created the perfect spa-like atmosphere. Felicia's hands are unbelievably soft and gentle. She used a variety of techniques and products on my face, neck, and chest--each one felt slightly different, and I enjoyed every moment. She even included a massage for my arms, hands, and feet, which made the experience feel truly luxurious and full-body relaxing. Felicia is truly one of a kind and has such a generous heart, especially in the way she gives back to caregivers. If you are a caregiver, I highly recommend checking out her website for a free facial. After your first visit, you'll already be looking forward to booking your next appointment.

Update: It's been 19 days. I left this review at two stars because the owner did reach out to me…read moreand was nice and professional. However, I still would not go back here. I have three thick, choppy, distinctive layers. It's terrible. My hair is up all day now. I hope they train their staff to be more professional and take their time to make a positive impression in the future. I hate leaving a negative review but for every star I took off, I did justify it. So I walked in and Sarah immediately took me to her chair. She didn't introduce herself, so that's half a star off. I was washed and the conditioning treatment was put in. While I was waiting she didn't ask if I wanted any water or coffee to drink like I usually am at other places, that's another half a star. Sarah was really quick but almost TOO quick in cutting my hair. Every time she got remotely close to my face or ears, she would hit it with her brush. For the hair cut experience, that's a full star taken off. The blow dry part was just as painful. She kept the heat on my scalp and I jerked forward at one point because it hurt so bad. She was rough too and I could feel my hair snapping. At the end, she blow dried the bottom half of my hair in and my layers out. I asked her about it and she got defensive. She fixed it but said that I asked for volume, not for it straight but she could do it if that's what I really wanted. I said volume, not a ridiculous style. Before or after the blowdry, she didn't put any heat protectant or smoothing serum in. That was REALLY strange. I have never been to a place that doesn't do some product. For the blowdrying experience and lack of professionalism and attention, that's another star. It was a little off putting the entire time she smelled like smoke. She was nice but just seemed in a super big rush the entire time. The overall experience was painful but at least my hair is cut. I did tip her but out of courtesy. I won't be returning.

Update after owner response:…read more I want to clarify a few things in response to the owner's reply, because it does not reflect what happened. The conversation that led to this situation was not started by me. While I was in the chair, the discussion had already shifted into conspiracy topics. A client then came in and brought up the Israeli prime minister and his cancer, making comments expressing happiness about it. The tone of the conversation included laughter and engagement from others around, which made it extremely uncomfortable to sit through. As a Jewish customer, I felt put in a very difficult position, especially being mid-service and unable to simply step away. The direction of the conversation is what led me to speak up and say that I'm Jewish and that I didn't agree, even though I was genuinely nervous to do so. When I said that, there was a visible shift, people were caught off guard, apologized, and said they don't hate Jews, they "just hate him." That does not change what was said or how it came across in that moment. The owner was the one cutting my hair and was part of the conversation. When I said I needed to leave, I was already overwhelmed and in a state of panic. My hair was not finished, and I had to ask for clips to be removed so I could go. I then found myself at a locked door and had to wait to be let out, which added to the distress of the situation. I do want to be clear that I did verbally express myself strongly toward the end. I'm not denying that. My reaction came after everything I had just experienced, not before. The owner's response mentions creating a safe environment and staff feeling uncomfortable. I did not create that situation, I reacted to it. I was the one sitting in the chair while this conversation was happening around me. After I spoke up, the response included references to "Jewish support groups" and comparisons between Jewish people and the queer community that felt dismissive and out of place given the context.
