We had been getting it done in Illinois on trips back but after 2 years are visits are less frequent. I happened upon this shop by our new vet and called the number and happen to get the owner Geno. I highly recommend Geno if you are looking for a traditional local shop with down home feel and most importantly experience and maturity. Glad we found Geno and Streets, highly recommend!!!

It's beautiful in this place. Stylishly decorated, seasonal decorations, and always clean. The products are the best around as they exclusively carry Aveda products. You get a scalp/shoulder massage with a hair wash, they always have refreshments, and sometimes little snacks out as well. If you somehow aren't happy with your hair, they'll fix it and get it right, but I don't think people leave there unhappy very often. The service and work there are honestly excellent. They also offer eyebrow waxing, and they've always done an excellent job. Lastly, if you have grown your hair out to donate, they are able to take care of that whole process for you. My daughter grew her hair out to donate to kids with hair loss, and Brittney took care of the hair donation so I didn't have to drive somewhere else to drop it off. Seriously, if you're looking for a new salon, give them a try. You won't be disappointed.

Everything looked mostly the same, except that the pedicure area had been rearranged slightly. I've always had wonderful experiences with the previous owners, so I'll admit I was a little hesitant when I found out about the change. The new owner mentioned they had just taken over a few days ago, and I decided to give them a chance and I'm glad I did! The new owner and another staff member were very friendly and welcoming. The staff member who did my pedicure and manicure took great care. She was gentle, and made good conversation throughout, though they kept interacting in their own language. The owner checked in a couple of times to make sure everything was going well, which I really appreciated. The salon was clean, calm, and comfortable, just as I've always remembered it. Overall, it turned out to be a lovely experience , looks like the new team is off to a wonderful start!

So one day leaving PT my hubby and I decided to go get pedicures there to literally test the waters! We met the husband and wife owners. The pedis were wonderful. Remind you the husband (owner) was extremely delicate.. he made sure he adjusted himself to get the job done due to my leg's sensitivity (remember I'm currently in PT). Needless to say in came back two days later to get a full set (I didn't get oic of them) but I absolutely loved them. I found a design on IG and the wife... Yenny did exactly what it was! So I do get bored QUICK with my nails and designs (no matter how cute they are) so I went back today... exactly 2 weeks later (no fill in needed) and AGAIN... Yenny did exactly what I asked for from multiple pics off IG... she definitely understood the assignment! As my young daughter would say "she ate!"

I flew from Florida to Michigan to get my hair done by the stylist ive been getting it done by for…read more7 years now... 1. For a wedding im attending next weekend, and 2 because in Florida they charge $300+ and i have short hair... Normally Melissa got my hair on point of what i asked. I went in to this salon blonde with some orange and i showed her picture (below) of what i wanted done, she told me that she will get me as close as possible. When she was putting dark in my hair i told her i didn't want any dark in my hair she said no worries its just ash tone to make it how you want it... and that dont i "trust" her... when she was washing my hair i told her it definitely looked to dark. She told me wet hair lies, once done blowdrying it she told me that it looks great and that she loved it.( i said it was darker than what i wanted) she then said she had to "color correct it" she NEVER NOT 1 TIME said she wasn't going to be able to get anywhere close to what i wanted... If she would have told me i would have told her that i wanted something different like blonde in general because I wanted to stay blonde and work towards icy blonde... and I really wanted to be icy white blonde for the wedding, i never wanted to go dark and in fact I've been trying to go blonde and i was almost finally to blonde, I looked at it and i started crying because it was NOTHING like what i asked for.. actually it was far from it. After making an appointment for December she then texted me hours after and said she was no longer able to do my hair because i stressed her out and that she takes pride in her work... well if she takes pride in her work why didnt she apologize for making me dark.. insted she just kept saying "i like it" " it looks good on you" she even took me outsidw to show me that it was lighter outside and said it will light up with a couple of washes.... I don't care if it looks good on me or if she likes it... its my head and my hair and i didnt like it.. she should have offered a refund when she said she cant do my hair anymore, or better yet should have offered to FIX my hair without charge because she did not do what i asked. I've spoken to multiple people who have done are are still doing hair and they said "she should have never added dark because you want icy blonde" and " I don't understand why she made you so dark".... Im so beyond upset and the fact she did NOT take accountability and just decided to take the easy way out by saying she can no longer do my hair was absolutely WRONG of her. Honestly I would have been okay with an apology and a I'll fix it for you and then we need to part ways but instead she just said I stressed her out ( all because I told her my feelings and because I was in tears) which should have been completely understandable because it is NOTHING like what I asked for.... Im so disappointed and this was an absolute disaster!! I can NOT recommend anymore, Because going to her for 7 years of going to her she will apparently not listen what you want apparently she takes to much pride and decideds to do whatever she wants. 100% disappointing and now I have to spend another probably $200-$300 to get it fixed and at that point I should have just spent the $300+ dollars here in Florida and got exactly what I was asking for instead of paying for an $80 flight and $185 for her to mess my hair up.
