So I've been 3 times in a month!! Ok let me explain. I am going to physical therapy right next door. I never ever noticed this nail salon.. ever! So one day leaving PT my hubby and I decided to go get pedicures there to literally test the waters! We met the husband and wife owners. The pedis were wonderful. Remind you the husband (owner) was extremely delicate.. he made sure he adjusted himself to get the job done due to my leg's sensitivity (remember I'm currently in PT). Needless to say in came back two days later to get a full set (I didn't get oic of them) but I absolutely loved them. I found a design on IG and the wife... Yenny did exactly what it was! So I do get bored QUICK with my nails and designs (no matter how cute they are) so I went back today... exactly 2 weeks later (no fill in needed) and AGAIN... I walked in and waited a few minutes before someone came to the front. That's when I realized the salon now has new owners. Everything looked mostly the same, except that the pedicure area had been rearranged slightly. I've always had wonderful experiences with the previous owners, so I'll admit I was a little hesitant when I found out about the change. The new owner mentioned they had just taken over a few days ago, and I decided to give them a chance and I'm glad I did! The new owner and another staff member were very friendly and welcoming. The staff member who did my pedicure and manicure took great care. She was gentle, and made good conversation throughout, though they kept interacting in their own language. The owner checked in a couple of times to make sure everything was going well, which I really appreciated. The salon was clean, calm, and comfortable, just as I've always remembered it. Had a dip manicure and shellac deluxe pedicure, both turned out perfect! Massage during the pedicure was great and she was very precise applying the shellac. Great selection of colors! I used to go here a lot..I went in December I wanted red and green no acrylic no gell pointed to the color and got pink and green not sure what happened there. A few times I have gotten someone that really dug into the side of my fingers with the nail filer not sure. I tip them 20 every time but was pretty sad to see the old staff not there. I made an appointment for a "mani pedi no polish" for 10 am. The door opened promptly at 10 and within a few minutes I was soaking in a very clean foot bath, enjoying the massage chair. The next 50 minutes flew by as I got a thorough soak, scrub, pedi, mani, lotion and massage. Updating my review. I made a follow up appointment for Kim. When I walked in I let the gentleman that greeted me know TWICE i was there for Kim. I then sat and waited for Kim to come out only for him to switch me and another client and mess up our appointments. He completely ruined my shape and was not open to any criticism. When I called back after my appointment because I wasn't satisfied with my appointment and also what was the point of making one just to be stuck with a whole different tech? Anyway, I was told refunds are not an option and was never offered to have my nails fixed. I simply called and stated that I had an appointment with Kim and was serviced by someone else.... The girl didn't even hesitate and admitted that "oh yeah he got confused and switched the appointments but there's nothing we can do, we don't offer refunds.... Mistakes happen." Yeah you're right mistakes happen, but not when I'm ALREADY sat with my tech and told him TWICE that I'm there for Kim. When i went in to get a refund (legally you are always entitled to a refund or some compensation) I was rudely yelled and told to never come back. Get off your high horses and not only fix but own up to your mistakes instead of brushing it off. read more

Tom has been doing my nails for a few months now and I can't give hime enough praise! Seriously, he is a dream! I had tips on when I first went to him (from a different salon) and they were very thick and in natural looking. I had torn one off and had it replaced by Tom when I went in for a fill. He completely reshaped, filled and thinned my other nails out and painted them perfectly. I didn't get the shellac and the color still lasted 2 weeks. Seriously, he's amazing. read more

I came here without a reservation on a Saturday afternoon. I was hoping to get a mani/pedi. I was confused when I came in because no one greeted me so I just sat on the couch for a few minutes until someone came up to me to help. My frustration at not being greeted quickly diminished because the staff was so friendly and accommodating. They were completely booked up for the day and could only offer me a manicure. I was honestly pretty surprised I could even get a mani because I didn't have a reservation. This is obviously a popular place because they later had to turn down people! I was SO pleased with my manicure. They have tons of color selections and the manicurist was very nice and did an amazing job. My first visit after the new owners and staff came in was horrible. I've been going here every month for over two years and I will never go back again. When I made my appointment with my regular girl they took my appointment without telling me she was no longer there. I was given a young man who had absolutely no English skills. I like getting dip polish over my own nails with some nice nail designs on top. He did not even begin with the wraps to remove the dip I had on. He had no idea what to do. The new owner had to explain what he was supposed to do to remove the old dip. Once he had it off he began cutting off my own nails!! He had cut off 4 before I noticed and flipped out!! I got up to leave when the new owner stopped me and had me a different nail tech saying she had 30 years experience and had some English. So I let her try. I should have just left as her work was very sloppy with very thick dip in most places but missing in others. Won't be back but now I need a new salon. read more

Terrible. Left looking like my nails were grown out a week because she didn't go all the up to the cuticle. The worst part is she made 7 of my 10 fingers bleed and continued to file my bleeding fingers. The lady then pulled out a used tube of old neosporin and tried rubbing it on my bleeding fingers with her dirty hands. Just straight terrible. Do not go here. read more

This place is now under new management. There was no advanced notice or anything about this, I've been coming here for a few years now and they abruptly switched everything up. They have all new nail techs, I called for a dip appointment and they took me fast, however 3 of my nails broke before the week was over. Extremely disappointed in the quality of work, I used to go a month before needing to come in. Came in two weeks after my first appointment with the new ownership and the tech burned my nails with the drill. Overpriced for the quality as well. Will no longer be going to this place and I'm sad since it was so close to home and USED to be of quality. 0/10. read more

I came here for a shellac pedicure. I ended up getting a deluxe pedi, which got me a leg and foot scrub, as well as a mini hot stone massage. Tammy was very nice and professional! I live her precision and how she paid attention to detail (calluses, ingrowns, allat!) the environment is very nice and comfortable, from what I heard this used to be a hair salon but I'd now under new ownership. The girls that answer the phone are always real nice & very helpful! The bathrooms are super clean! They take your coat and hang it in a nice closet. Also you're offered s cup of coffee or some water! I'm a chronic pain patient and I'm almost always 5 mins late! My stylist, Amanda W. Never says a bad thing ! She's always got a smile on her face and kindness in her heart! I think she's the very best stylist, of course! I've not gone to anyone else since 2003 & I won't because I adore her! She's talented and does a great job at color and haircuts & styles . Then when I'm there for a couple of hours each 6 week period, the other hair stylists are really nice time as well. There's one guy a couple of chairs down from Amanda, I don't know his name but he's very kind and always has his chair full. Just the same is the one stylist next to Amanda, her name is "Patty"! She's so kind and compliments my clothes or my hair and she talks to me! She's always busy too. Then there's Joanne, who is another stylist whom I trust very much and she's awesome too! She does my hair if Amanda is gone for some reason I can't say enough good about this salon and those who work there. I can't say enough good words about "My" Amanda! She does exactly what I ask her to do. She gives me her honest opinion and fits me in when I have a need! I hope Studio One salon stays around for a long time. But without the great employees, it's just a clean building with a touch of class. With Amanda, Patty, Joanne and that one young man (I wish I knew his name about now!!), this Salon is great! This place is the ONLY nail salon I go to, Kim always does my dip and she never fails me!! She is so sweet , kind and gentle and always make me feel so comfortable with her! Tammy has also done my nails for me along with nail art ( which you need to always specify that you want nail art when making an appointment) and she's also amazing! After they checked me in, they offered coffee or water while I waited. My hair stylist, Brittany was amazing! Words can't describe what beautiful work she had done with my hair. She sat me down and asked my what color I was looking for and I told her I wanted an ombré and referenced a picture. She was able to show me various shades of color that I could do. Love, love love getting my CND Shellac with Cindy! She does beautiful freehand nail art, and will do a great job on a single color. You want to know the difference between a nail place and a salon? See Cindy, and you'll get it. My hands are in great shape, and my natural nails are longer than this nail biter turned recovering acrylic-junkie ever thought they could be. Lindsay cuts my hair, and is also really good. She took a fair amount off my length, and gave me a pretty edgy cut quite fearlessly, which is a huge plus in my book (so often, hairdressers can be conservative, afraid to make a change too drastic) It also looked amazing on me! (Reminds me, I need a trim) Walk-ins are welcome, but I'd recommend an appointment, via the phone. They have online scheduling, but it seems to have some flukes.with the interface to the main salon scheduling program. The vibe in the salon is high energy, beautiful, but you can also tell that everyone loves their work and each other. There is a lot of packed into the space, but somehow it works, and is clean and organized. Also, very well lit with flattering lighting and warm tones. The week before my wedding, my mother scheduled us to have our hair done here. The girl who took me was professional, fun to talk to and very creative! I was in town for my bridal shower and wanted to get my hair blown out and styled. I was greeted by two friendly receptionists who were discussing that Don would be a better fit for me then Bridget who I was originally scheduled with. I was fine with the change because I have never been to the salon and didn't know the stylists. Don was friendly, although proceeded to tell me he doesn't typically do styles and he thought Bridget would do a better job. I showed him I wanted loose curls and he said he could handle it. He washed my hair & put so much soap in my ear then asked if I had a cotton ball in my ear..? No, it was a glob of shampoo. Then he continued on to talk about how he never styles hair and he wishes more stylists were there to enjoy him curling my hair because he never curls hair. All while I was terrified my hair was going to look horrid for my bridal shower. I ended up going home, washing my hair and restyling it myself. On a positive note, he was gentle.. This experience was meant to pamper me but unfortunately ended up being a disappointment. read more

Oh my goodness this place is AMAZING!!! This was my first visit here for a gel mani and a pedi and everyone was so lovely. The pedicure was so pampering with hot stones and meticulous focus on making sure everything was done fully. The gentleman who did my pedicure was so sweet! My gel mani was also lovely and pampering. He made sure to check with me to see what I wanted in regards to shape and length and was also careful about making sure no polish got on my skin. In regards to COVID precautions, there were plexiglass screens up, hand sanitizer everywhere, and they were good about leaving one spot between customers as well as cleaning immediately after someone vacated a seat. Their prices were great, I paid $58 for my full service, which is comparable to the other places around here. I am so excited to go back! read more
