She was pulling my hair, and slapping my head with the brush as she applied the products. There was dye all over my skin, she didn't take any care at all. She didn't check my hair for over an hour, she was sitting down on her phone. The only thing she was good at, was a great scalp massage during the washing. The cut itself is not super bad, just 3-4 inches shorter than what I asked for and an entirely different color that is ugly, as she put no toner in it at all.

I personally am always wary when I go places to get my haircut as I've had many bad haircut experiences in the past. So when I decided to give Salon Europa a try, I have to admit that I was a little nervous. For starters, they are located in a shopping plaza which has been remodeled and is slowly filling up with new businesses. Therefore when you see this location from the street, it's not that impressive. However don't let your eyes deceive you! Once you enter Salon Europa, you truly feel as if you're in a high-end, expensive salon! The inside of the salon is very modern and extremely clean! As a matter of fact, I can't recall ever being in a salon that is as clean as Salon Europa. The customer waiting area is not your typical chair-lined window seating that you'll find in other salons. They have an area in the salon that is partitioned off where customers can enjoy a little privacy and relax in comfortable, over-sized leather chairs. There is also a modern fireplace for those cold Michigan winters, a flat screen television with satellite TV, a mini-fridge stocked with complimentary drinks (soda, water, juice, etc...), fresh coffee, and a snack area where various light snacks are served. You will also notice something uniquely different about this salon. The hairstylists stations, which at other salons are typically lined along the wall, are not designed like that here. The hair stations at Salon Europa are designed in such a way that each customer who is having their hair done has a bit of privacy. I find this highly appealing. Salon Europa also seems to employ hairstylists who truly have a passion for hair. I noticed that each stylist seemed to take their time, making sure to listen to the customers' needs and offer them advice. All of the stylists also seemed very friendly and able to hold a conversation with customers (which I think is important when visiting a salon... no one typically wants to sit there in silence as their stylist works). When I had my hair done, I saw Natalie. She was friendly, professional, styled hair better than anyone I've ever seen before, and MOST importantly, she listened to me and what I wanted! Salon Europa's prices are extremely affordable. While other local salons will charge $25+ for a simple wash, cut and style, Salon Europe starts at around $15! Salon Europa has the look, feel and service of a high-end salon, without the high-end pricing! I would highly recommend Salon Europa to any woman, man or family who is looking for a unique salon, a great stylist, and outstanding pricing. I live almost 20 miles away from this salon and will definitely drive the distance to get my hair done here!

For a wedding im attending next weekend, and 2 because in Florida they charge $300+ and i have short hair... Normally Melissa got my hair on point of what i asked. I went in to this salon blonde with some orange and i showed her picture (below) of what i wanted done, she told me that she will get me as close as possible. When she was putting dark in my hair i told her i didn't want any dark in my hair she said no worries its just ash tone to make it how you want it... and that dont i "trust" her... when she was washing my hair i told her it definitely looked to dark. She told me wet hair lies, once done blowdrying it she told me that it looks great and that she loved it.( i said it was darker than what i wanted) she then said she had to "color correct it" she NEVER NOT 1 TIME said she wasn't going to be able to get anywhere close to what i wanted... If she would have told me i would have told her that i wanted something different like blonde in general because I wanted to stay blonde and work towards icy blonde... and I really wanted to be icy white blonde for the wedding, i never wanted to go dark and in fact I've been trying to go blonde and i was almost finally to blonde, I looked at it and i started crying because it was NOTHING like what i asked for.. actually it was far from it. After making an appointment for December she then texted me hours after and said she was no longer able to do my hair because i stressed her out and that she takes pride in her work... well if she takes pride in her work why didnt she apologize for making me dark.. insted she just kept saying "i like it" " it looks good on you" she even took me outsidw to show me that it was lighter outside and said it will light up with a couple of washes.... I don't care if it looks good on me or if she likes it... its my head and my hair and i didnt like it.. she should have offered a refund when she said she cant do my hair anymore, or better yet should have offered to FIX my hair without charge because she did not do what i asked. I've spoken to multiple people who have done are are still doing hair and they said "she should have never added dark because you want icy blonde" and " I don't understand why she made you so dark".... Im so beyond upset and the fact she did NOT take accountability and just decided to take the easy way out by saying she can no longer do my hair was absolutely WRONG of her. Honestly I would have been okay with an apology and a I'll fix it for you and then we need to part ways but instead she just said I stressed her out ( all because I told her my feelings and because I was in tears) which should have been completely understandable because it is NOTHING like what I asked for.... Im so disappointed and this was an absolute disaster!! I can NOT recommend anymore, Because going to her for 7 years of going to her she will apparently not listen what you want apparently she takes to much pride and decideds to do whatever she wants. 100% disappointing and now I have to spend another probably $200-$300 to get it fixed and at that point I should have just spent the $300+ dollars here in Florida and got exactly what I was asking for instead of paying for an $80 flight and $185 for her to mess my hair up.

Sure enough, I get there and am told tape ins are the only choice. I ended up having to buy them there because my hair needed to be done that day for an event. Ooookay, I was going to be spending some $ that day, anyway, so let's move on, not the end of the world. The man who put the tape ins in said literally less than ten words the entire time. I had an appointment with him 2-3 weeks later because a couple of wefts came loose, which was frustrating, and he again didn't speak. I'm almost positive it wasn't a language barrier issue because there were no attempts to be friendly even with body language? And I understand if you don't want to chat the entire time or are introverted, but damn...I really got nothin' When my extensions were finally done, and I will say they were pretty good except for the piece or two that fell out, there was no explanation of how to manage them. The worst part, though, was that he wouldn't cut them because he said they were too pretty. I mostly wanted the extensions for volume, not length.

I walked in on a Saturday morning pretty much begging them to take me in because my best friend was getting married that day and I missed my appointments because I worked a 14 hour shift the day before. I was exhausted that day. With no hesitation the ladies at the front were so professional and did everything they could just to make sure i wouldn't disappoint my friend. Right away they got me in to start my make up with Mariana. The Make up artist her self was an absolute sweetheart and made me feel so comfortable. Right when I was done they put me on chair and prepped me for a hair updo style. Farah did my updo and she was just amazing herself. I was changing my long straight center part for bangs and a little chunkier /shag on top. I loved that Deanna seemed to really take her time, and was very careful and concentrated. She was friendly but seemed more concerned with what she was doing than chatting which I appreciated. I'm not the type to be really chatty anyways so it was relaxing not to have to force conversation. Since it was a new style for me, I wasn't sure what I thought of it as she worked through it. At the end, she didn't hesitate to get a second opinion from the other stylists and they all worked together to make sure I was happy. To be honest, I wasn't thrilled when I left, but I have gotten SO MANY COMPLIMENTS on my hair over the past few days. My husband liked it too so that meant a lot to me. As I've gotten used to the style, I've come to appreciate the job she did and how it seems to look good no matter what I do with it. Kudos and thanks to Deanna!
