My nails looked like they'd been run through a wood chipper and I needed to refresh my face.  My husband gifted me a spa day at Revive Salon in Trenton, Michigan.  I had a wonderful day getting spoiled!  Apryl gave me a perfect manicure, and Lana's pedicure was delightful. I ended my wonderful day with a facial by Kelly. Every one of them was so sweet to me, and I feel like a glamorous superstar!  My manicurist was Apryl.  She has been doing nails for something like 30 years!  She is very talented.  My nails look beautiful (see pics).  She listened to what I wanted and worked efficiently to meet my needs.  I loved talking to her, too.  I was impressed that she has so much experience but still up to date on trends.   Lana did my pedicure.  She is also very experienced.  I loved how tender she was with my feet, but she also worked on them to make sure they were super soft.  She was kind and made me feel very comfortable.  I am kind of self conscious about my feet as I haven't gotten a pedicure in a super long time, but she made me feel good about them.  I ended my wonderful day with a facial by Kelly.  Omg!  That was so relaxing, and my face feels super soft. The facial was an hour of heaven!  Kelly was informative about the products she used, but she didn't once try to sell me anything.    I love how each of them were efficient but took their time.  With all three, it was a nice balance between chatting and relaxing quiet. Kathy did my nails and they turned out BETTER than the picture I had shown her. She was so detailed, neat, and talented. All of her tools were clean, she was organized, funny, and professional! Kelly did my eyebrows - it was painless! She kept me educated about which wax would be best for me and told me about the benefits of using a soy based wax. I got a little gift bag for being a first time customer, they set up my reoccurring appointments and even registered my number in their system so that I get a text when my appointment is coming up. I initially before scheduling my appointment asked the receptionist over the phone whether or not extractions would be included with my facial service. I've came here multiple times and gotten a facial by the previous Beautician. ( I have no idea what services she was giving me) My skin has "more acne than the average face" when I walked in she already had everything laid out did not give me a consultation and even look at my skin. I was blown away . She already preplanned our appointment without seeing my skin or asking me what my goals were. Since I was let known the extractions were included and I can't tell time while laying on a bed it started to get I started to feel like we were getting closer to the end of the appointment where the extractions begin - I asked her "are we doing extractions today?" We did them for maybe five minutes- My face needs x3 the amount of time I figured she could assume that by looking at me and possibly prioritize it. When I mentioned this to her - as a disclaimer I was extremely calm using a soft tone no aggression, I asked her when we were going to do them since the receptionist let me know they were included. What the receptionist didn't tell me is that the extractions are included for apparently "more-normal" skin. I explained this to her how I was confused over the phone by the receptionist. The beautician started to shake and hyperventilate for the rest of the appointment. Again I did not speak to her in any way to get this reaction. I have PTSD myself and would never put someone else in an uncomfortable position on purpose. She began to make me extremely uncomfortable because of her behavior to the point where I asked her to just remove the product off my face so I could leave EARLY since she was making it seem like it was MY fault the receptionist misunderstood me she "I am also a receptionist I will get in trouble for this, The receptionists aren't trained properly on facial services" NONE OF THESE ARE MY ISSUE - First of all I came here after experiencing a traumatic life changing event and my boyfriend thought it would be nice for me to plan a facial knowing how much I like them. This is the last thing I wanted to happen during my service. Obviously there was a huge miscommunication but at the cost of a customer and maybe others in the future too. I told her "I wouldn't tell anyone because I felt bad" I left without speaking to anyone and the situation continued to bother me. I tried to call and reach back out to the owner- At first I was told she was on vacation ( I thought okay that's normal for July fine) the receptionist, then tried to intercept my call and call me the day before they said she would be back from vacation, I immediately noticed this and told them I didn't feel comfortable speaking with them and I'd call the owner myself. The owner then never called me and I called two more times to leave my number to be contacted. Now i'm not the smartest person alive but didn't the facialist say she worked at the receptionist desk too???? you can do 1+1 right? So this is my complaint I guess, I have your business more than enough chances to fix this. Get better receptionist girls who won't ruin your good business you already have. I remember speaking to someone named Faith who "took my phone number." Unfortunately I loved the services and salon enough to drive 30+ minutes. NEVER AGAIN. After booking a massage from the business website she is told the night before her appointment that she cannot use the gift card because the new massage therapist doesn't work directly for the salon! What exactly is the point of me buying a gift card then being told by the business that the cards cannot be used for services that you have always used them for? Horrible customer service, this is not on the employee, it's 100% on the ownership. If you're a business and change your rules on something as big as gift card usage, you should let customers know at purchase, if you don't, you should remedy the situation, not tell the customer there is nothing that can be done. Straight up horrible customer service. Will be taking our business elsewhere from now on.

The masseuse was very nice and professional and did a very nice job. My mom and I both walked out of there feeling like butter. This place doesn't look like much from the outside, but the inside is clean and trendy. Because the place is a spa, too, expect prices to be a little higher than in a regular salon.

Washed it out and because it was a demi not a permanet she had to do it again. And then it still wasn't dark enough. Then she told me that my hair would not hold anymore color. What she didnt realize is I also went to cosmetology school. She did not have to do color correction and if she would have used a permanet color she wouldn't of had to do it twice. I personally am always wary when I go places to get my haircut as I've had many bad haircut experiences in the past. So when I decided to give Salon Europa a try, I have to admit that I was a little nervous. For starters, they are located in a shopping plaza which has been remodeled and is slowly filling up with new businesses. Therefore when you see this location from the street, it's not that impressive. However don't let your eyes deceive you! Once you enter Salon Europa, you truly feel as if you're in a high-end, expensive salon! The inside of the salon is very modern and extremely clean! As a matter of fact, I can't recall ever being in a salon that is as clean as Salon Europa. The customer waiting area is not your typical chair-lined window seating that you'll find in other salons. They have an area in the salon that is partitioned off where customers can enjoy a little privacy and relax in comfortable, over-sized leather chairs. There is also a modern fireplace for those cold Michigan winters, a flat screen television with satellite TV, a mini-fridge stocked with complimentary drinks (soda, water, juice, etc...), fresh coffee, and a snack area where various light snacks are served. You will also notice something uniquely different about this salon. The hairstylists stations, which at other salons are typically lined along the wall, are not designed like that here. The hair stations at Salon Europa are designed in such a way that each customer who is having their hair done has a bit of privacy. I find this highly appealing. Salon Europa also seems to employ hairstylists who truly have a passion for hair. I noticed that each stylist seemed to take their time, making sure to listen to the customers' needs and offer them advice. All of the stylists also seemed very friendly and able to hold a conversation with customers (which I think is important when visiting a salon... no one typically wants to sit there in silence as their stylist works). When I had my hair done, I saw Natalie. She was friendly, professional, styled hair better than anyone I've ever seen before, and MOST importantly, she listened to me and what I wanted! Salon Europa's prices are extremely affordable. While other local salons will charge $25+ for a simple wash, cut and style, Salon Europe starts at around $15! Salon Europa has the look, feel and service of a high-end salon, without the high-end pricing! I would highly recommend Salon Europa to any woman, man or family who is looking for a unique salon, a great stylist, and outstanding pricing. For a wedding im attending next weekend, and 2 because in Florida they charge $300+ and i have short hair... Normally Melissa got my hair on point of what i asked. I went in to this salon blonde with some orange and i showed her picture (below) of what i wanted done, she told me that she will get me as close as possible. When she was putting dark in my hair i told her i didn't want any dark in my hair she said no worries its just ash tone to make it how you want it... and that dont i "trust" her... when she was washing my hair i told her it definitely looked to dark. She told me wet hair lies, once done blowdrying it she told me that it looks great and that she loved it.( i said it was darker than what i wanted) she then said she had to "color correct it" she NEVER NOT 1 TIME said she wasn't going to be able to get anywhere close to what i wanted... If she would have told me i would have told her that i wanted something different like blonde in general because I wanted to stay blonde and work towards icy blonde... and I really wanted to be icy white blonde for the wedding, i never wanted to go dark and in fact I've been trying to go blonde and i was almost finally to blonde, I looked at it and i started crying because it was NOTHING like what i asked for.. actually it was far from it. After making an appointment for December she then texted me hours after and said she was no longer able to do my hair because i stressed her out and that she takes pride in her work... well if she takes pride in her work why didnt she apologize for making me dark.. insted she just kept saying "i like it" " it looks good on you" she even took me outsidw to show me that it was lighter outside and said it will light up with a couple of washes.... I don't care if it looks good on me or if she likes it... its my head and my hair and i didnt like it.. she should have offered a refund when she said she cant do my hair anymore, or better yet should have offered to FIX my hair without charge because she did not do what i asked. I've spoken to multiple people who have done are are still doing hair and they said "she should have never added dark because you want icy blonde" and " I don't understand why she made you so dark".... Im so beyond upset and the fact she did NOT take accountability and just decided to take the easy way out by saying she can no longer do my hair was absolutely WRONG of her. Honestly I would have been okay with an apology and a I'll fix it for you and then we need to part ways but instead she just said I stressed her out ( all because I told her my feelings and because I was in tears) which should have been completely understandable because it is NOTHING like what I asked for.... Im so disappointed and this was an absolute disaster!! I can NOT recommend anymore, Because going to her for 7 years of going to her she will apparently not listen what you want apparently she takes to much pride and decideds to do whatever she wants. 100% disappointing and now I have to spend another probably $200-$300 to get it fixed and at that point I should have just spent the $300+ dollars here in Florida and got exactly what I was asking for instead of paying for an $80 flight and $185 for her to mess my hair up.
