Did a search to get a haircut because I'm new to area & found Oky at this salon. I have never in my life had such a horrible cut! She butchered my hair. I have bald spots I can't cover up! I told her the entire time I don't like my hair blown straight (I have curly hair) and very thin. I told her I like heavier bangs. I am not kidding - my hair is so thin now! She basically gave me a mullet!! Normally with a so so haircut I can style it well enough anyhow. Not this time! There's not enough hair to cover the already thinning areas ( I'm a 56 year old woman.). I don't like giving bad reviews because everyone has to make a living - but this was too bad of a cut to not say something!! read more

Just got my hair done today! If you go here go to Moriah!! She's done my hair many times and I love it every time!! I'll always have the craziest idea in my head which I think no one will get but she always knows what I want and my hair ends up looking amazing!! Her room is pretty cool too it's very laid back and has such good vibes! Also, she's always ready to recommend products to make your style last longer which I love! She's awesome!! read more

After I read the review from Manhattan(?), I just had to respond. Sherry Alfano is awesome! I've been looking for a new stylist since I moved here 2 years ago. I am thrilled I finally found Sherry. I've found it easy to make appointments. She returns my text messages within minutes. Her work is outstanding. She gives me beautiful highlights and meticulously banishes every last gray hair. She listens carefully, and cuts and styles my fine straight hair beautifully. She also gives me easy to follow styling tips. Her prices are so low, I almost feel guilty! She charges a fraction of the prices I've been paying in Steiner Ranch and Lakeway. A generous tip is the only way I can leave with a clear conscience;) Sherry is a lovely person, polite and professional. I would not consider going to any other salon!! read more

Do NOT....DO NOT go to Chimene for braids!!! Firstly, I text and asked her how much for waist length braids.. she said $180..once I get to the shop she tells me $250! How? I have text saying $180.. she says it's her fault but she will go down to $220.. I did not have an extra $40 because I was prepared to pay the amount she said. But since I am out of time I decide to give in.. she and a friend did my hair and... it looks a mess! It is not waist length at all. It is bra strap length with a few straggly ends to make it look waist length which honestly I will have to cut off because it looks so bad! I just really regret going to her.. to pay $200+ and my hair looks like this just really saddens me.. So this review is in reference to stylist Jenny Wimberly. First impression is she just seems a bit bubbly, I guess very nervous for some reason. Tells me my hair was messed up by the last stylist who did it, and it turns out I won't have time for the full treatments I wanted. Not a big deal, set up a new appointment for the remainder. Then she over-processes part of my hair, tells me my hair is strange and doesn't react like most hair. Ok, sure, despite having it professionally colored several times, never heard this in my life, but I assume maybe she's just taking aloud. Then she keeps asking me if i am going to show up to my next appointment in the midst of the current one. Which on the 5th time starts getting old. I state if I cancel I will make sure she knows the very next day so she has ample time, I understand her time is important. Even so she mentions it a couple of other times, then because we don't have time to dry my hair as I have to leave at a certain time, she tells me if the color isn't right to call her the next day. I tell her I will if there is an issue. A couple of days later she's calling me again, in the middle of my workday, asking if I am showing up and if the color is ok. I say, yes, it is, i said I would call her if it wasn't, that yes I am still planning on showing up to our appointment. She goes ok, we end the call. Two minutes later she is calling me, again, I am at work and on a call. I have to let it go to voicemail. She leaves me a nasty voicemail saying she didn't appreciate the way I talked to her and that I should work with someone else. At this point, I'm perplexed as I wasn't rude, I just confirmed I was indeed doing what I said I would. Usually when I go to a salon, the stylist goes out of their way to make sure I feel comfortable and enjoy the experience. The whole time dealing with her, I felt like I had to reassure an insecure girlfriend. Seriously, who the hell keeps pestering and badgering their client while chemicals are in their hair to make sure they show up to their next appointment? This woman seems a bit unhinged, and really needs to work on her personal interactions. That, and maybe not ask, and this is not an exaggeration, ten times if the person is ever coming back. This is also the first time I left a salon feeling super uncomfortable and jittery because the stylist doing my hair made me so nervous from her attitude and personality. read more

I was referred to Barbara by another stylist that works there. I have long hair and I wanted a loose perm, something I could wash, blow dry and go! I texted Barb a picture of what my hair looks like and a picture of the perm I wanted. Not a problem she could do it, great I made my appt. Well not so great, she used small rollers for all layers of my hair including the shorter layers including my bangs. What that did, and I didnt realize until later, was create a very tight curl. No kidding I looked like a f****** chia pet of a 1980's rock star. It was the worst hair style I've ever experienced. My scalp line was burned from the product being on their too long. The next day I asked Barb to help me fix it, maybe a relaxer or cut (thinking I can straighten it better if shorter) anyway she yes she could for another $50. I already spent $115 on a perm that was not what I asked for and she wont at least cut my hair without charging. I do not recommend anyone going to Barb. read more

Don't get your hair done by Jenny Wimberly. She is very unprofessional. I missed my appt because my grandmother died and she texted me saying very unprofessional and that I was a liar. I have never had anyone be so unprofessional and act the way she was acting. She told me to say Hi to my grandmother. I was like wow. I am so glad I did miss my appt if she is acting like this then what could have happened to my hair. read more

This review is not about the salon in general, but about a particular hair stylist Sherry Alfano. I have never met a less caring hair stylist in my life. She will take her time to return your phone calls, - up to a week not a problem to her, will promise to call you back and never will, and her prices for basic services are through the roof. Do yourself a favor and go to a normal hair stylist, not a person who wants nothing to do with you or your business. read more

Worst experience ever!! Melissa Kret was hands down the worst. I was going to use her to do my hair and makeup for my wedding along with 2 other girls. We had been texting about prices and how much she should change to come to the venue etc. She told me it was $40 for makeup and $65 for hair and $40 to come to the venue. I asked her if we could do a trail before so we were on the same page. At no time did she tell me she would be charging me the FULL amount she was charging me the day of my wedding. Not only was I upset I had to pay $105 to have my hair and makeup done when I was just going home to take it down and off. But my hair fell before I even left the parking lot. I talked to a few friends who do hair and all 3 of them said that 1 she should of told me before the price before and 2 if I was paying for a service that it should be exact to what my hair and makeup will look like the day of. read more
