I heard about this nail shop from an acquaintenace. I had a nail that had broken and it was time to redo my polish. I called Phil and he set me up with an appointment within an hour. I got a mani/pedi and an overlay on the broken nail. Time was not an issue, because care was taken to make sure the overlay looked natural. Even though they were very busy and short handed, they worked me in and took there time to make sure my nails looked perfect. The shop was very clean. Highly, highly recommend this place!! Phil and Sally and their daughter are amazing. So friendly and helpful. I have badly chewed nails and need tips just to make my hands look decent. I really wanted to like this place but it just was NOT for me. After seeing some positive reviews l expected to get great service but that was not the case. When l got there, l noticed that they did not have the Covid friendly glass barriers that most clean nail shops are using, secondly, noone wore gloves/sanitized or washed their hands between customers, counters and working spaces were not cleaned between customers and some employees wore masks and some did not, while others pulled their masks down. I tried to ignore all of this although it was bothering me, l still was willing to give this establishment a chance. I got dip done, they put a gel top coat which started to peel right away. It took three tries from 3 different employees to get a design done on my big toe which l did not consider hard and still it did not look the same. After all this saga, the straw that broke the carmel's back came when l went to get my dip that was messed up redone and was being made to wait with no greeting or anything after l had an appointment. I asked Phil if he wanted me to come back but he said no, l could keep waiting and the lady who messed up my dip the first time would redo it. I asked Phil why because my appointment was with him and he said he did not know how to do dip. At that point l decided to just go somewhere else. I will forever thank God they treated me so poorly because this helped me discoved QT Nails just across the street, who are not only cheaper, but friendlier, care about customers, and SUPER clean. I was not only pleasantly surprised that QT Nails use the glass barriers for the pedicure area and manicure stations, but they wear gloves and guess what? They spray their leather chairs and counters in between customers, ask you to wash your hands before service and wash their hands too. Wow!!! Who would have thought such a negative horrible experience at Sally Nails would lead me to the best place ever QT Nails. So my advise is DO NOT GO TO SALLY NAILS but rather go across the street to QT Nails where you will not only get amazing service but you will leave with no bacteria as they are super clean. read more

Have been getting my nails done for ten years at various places in Avon-Plainfield area. When I stepped into this place, I knew instantly this was no ordinary nail salon. This shop was immaculately clean. Choosing my gel color was incredibly easier with color sticks, then the polish was returned to the manicurist with correct color. Patience and personal treatment made me feel special. I made another appointment for my next manicure before leaving because the phone was ringing off the hook with people making appointments. I recently moved from Tennessee and needed to find a good (great!!) nail salon. This really nice clerk at a local gas station told me that the BEST salon in Plainfield was Sally Nails and they were right!! I tried another salon in the area and was not happy. I called (I knew it was best to make appointments at Sally from the referring person) and was immediately happy with the person who answered the phone to make my appointment. I arrived promptly for my appointment at 10 am and the folks in the salon greeted me by name and spent quite a bit of time with me asking me what I wanted. They did a GREAT job!!! My nails look awesome!!!! They made sure I was happy with the job the tech performed and told me if anything was not right, to immediately contact them. I have been to Sally nails a total of three times. my first visit was my first time getting my nails done and they turned out AMAZING. Sally made great conversation and i felt comfortable even though it was my first time. My second visit was just as good as the first. Then, i went my third time to get my nails done for prom. This is where everything went wrong. I did not know the lady's name who did my nails and i wish i did. she cut my cuticles many, many times with the file. The nails were chunky and misshapen. No two looked the same. I believe Phil was the one i went to next to have them painted. He noticed that they were totally messed up but didn't say anything to me, but said something to her. I will most definitely not be visiting again. I get my nails done cheaper at French Nails (in decatur township) FOR A CHEAPER PRICE!!! read more
