What can I say, I have a terrible temper & equally disappointing hair so when I visited this location last month in search of clip in hair extensions or bangs I was turned off by one of the nasty employees there. It wasn't because of the bad black dye job she had or her obviousness annoyance that they had a customer but mainly due to a conversation she was having with another co-worker about my place of employment. It's hard to explain why I found her so rude because this review is about her disrespectful attitude & poor customer service; not about my job- yet if you had heard her, well; any Barista would have bitten her head off.
I suffer from incredibly baby fine hair, it is so thin & lifeless that I have to use childrens hair clips because the ones made for women are too heavy & tear my hair or fall out. Even a basic ponytail, headband or bandana with pins doesn't hold. And of course, I love classic vintage pin-up hairstyles; the pompadour is kind of my thing but my bangs are so thin that it doesn't cover the sponge like hair clip used to accomplish this look. So I've been in search of some type of hair piece that any non skilled girl like me could use to hide the clip & not fall out. Being that I don't know anything about hair except what products don't work...I didn't know the proper name of what I was looking for & asked if they carried clip in hair extensions- huge mistake!
I very clearly explained my problem with clips not staying in & what look I was trying to accomplish; she was angry before I even walked in & took that frustration out on me. I had to listen to her ignorant rant about how Starbucks Baristas are such a**holes whenever she wants something off of our secret menu; that they shouldn't be angry when people request secret menu drinks because it's sales- WRONG! I bit my tongue...and let her continue to ignore me while she vented. When she was finally finished she was pissed that I was still waiting there but she never answered my question so... then she rolled her eyes at me and said no she couldn't help me. I would assume a store that specializes in hair care would (if they don't sell hair extensions) have had a suggestion at the least but heaven forbid this smagma encrusted pathetic excuse for a human actually do her job. If I don't have what a customer is looking for, I always offer an alternative or tell them where they can find that specific item- just saying.
And P.S.- Whenever a customer orders their drink, pays & then screams @ the barista because they attempt to change their order while it's being made; we can't. It's called "variances", that means whenever someone orders a secret menu item or wants to add an extra (ex: another shot of espresso, syrup, whip cream on a drink that doesn't get it) it literally comes out of a Baristas pay check! Because every extra that isn't accounted for means less money for the company, & less money means less hours for that employee...after taxes are taken out of the lousy $8.10 min wage; we maybe make $5.00 an hour & then get penalized... so yes, a secret menu item is a huge pain in the arse! read more
