I had bad dental experiences as a child and really hated going to the dentist. My dentist retired so I had to find a new dentist. He referred me to Dr. Bob, a.k.a. Dr. Robert Brandhorst, he's soft-spoken, tender, gentle, etc. he has a very calming effect. I haven't run into any staff there that I don't like. They all seem to take on the same temperament as Dr. Bob. They have a new woman dentist here. I can't recall her name but I did get a crown put on by her a couple of months ago. She was super efficient. I've had a few crowns in the past and usually they seem to take a long time and the molds are miserable to have done. between her and the tech they did a fast efficient job probably one of the best most efficient. Quick caps I've ever had put on. I highly recommend this dentist especially if you're fearful of a dentist. I love coming here to get my teeth cleaned. The woman that cleans my teeth again very similar to Dr. Bob super kind, super gentle and caring. They have this amazing ultrasonic water pic that they use instead of so much scraping. It takes all the color stains from coffee or tea off your teeth and it's very gentle. I'm so glad I found this place a several years ago with my dentist retired. One thing because they are so well liked it. Does take some time to get an appointment in but it's worth the wait. Once you're in just start scheduling your appointments a year out then you don't have to worry about getting in.

However, the Sinick dentist told me I needed a dental implant after spending about a minute with me, with zero explanations, and their treatment plan was a very large amount of money (over $7,000) I got a second opinion. This dentist spent much more time with me, actually showed me the x-rays, and offered less expensive options such as a bridge that Sinick did not. Additionally, the cost of the implant was less. He wanted to have a 3D scan of my tooth before he removed a crown or took an impression to verify whether the root was fractured. His "Colonel" at the VA since did the 3D scan and redid the root canal yesterday. The VA advised me that I would need to get a new crown installed within the next two weeks. However, when I called today to make that urgent appt I was told that Dominic is booked up until July 18th for "VA patients" and that the office manager was out today. It's a sad state of affairs when Veterans like me get the shaft and yet civilians get preferential treatment.
