If you have to be sedated because of anxiety etc., I highly recommend. And Dr. Raymond is very thorough.

I went to the Next Door app about a month ago because I desperately needed a good local dentist. So…read moremany of the responses recommended Norton Family Dentistry. I went in and was initially impressed with the front desk people. They are so pleasant and not staring down their nose if I worried about paying for the service. First, it was so much less expensive than dentists I called to have a single tooth pulled. I was never left alone and the person (I am horrible remembering names but I will never forget how awesome she was) that stayed with me and took X-rays made a calm happen right away. I say that because I do not, or I should say, did not like dentists or doctors in general. But....when the dentist came in, he treated me like I've been there a thousand times and calmly suggested a treatment plan. I feel like a turn coat when I have to admit, there is a dentist that I trust....like immediately. The treatment plan could have included expensive root canals, but the Dentist explained the best course of treatment, far less painful in my mouth and wallet. So thank you everyone on the Next Door app and i hope this review helps someone find a good local dentist if you are anywhere near Norton, Ohio. I found my new Dentist.

The molar extraction process was fine. Dr. K was friendly and competent…read more My experience with staff was not as pleasant. Since we do not have dental insurance, or Medicare Advantage, the visit would not be covered. When I arrived I was given an info sheet to fill out. I did not enter my Social. One of the staff said they needed it but gave no reason why. I refused my info due to ever increasing data breaches. She then asked me to write it on a note pad. Huh??? After the procedure, when I was paying, the staff member taking my payment made a rude remark telling me my eyes were evil. I did not insult her by pointing our the fact she was obese. I politely told her my eyes were fighter pilot eyes from my service as a Navy pilot.

First of all, they wouldn't calculate how much our insurance was going to cover. I believe they told us to just treat it like it was going to cost the full amount. Over 2,000 dollars is nothing to sneeze at but apparently it is to them. We weren't able to know how much insurance covered until the procedure was completed. When I was taken back to prep for the procedure, I was never once asked if I had any questions. Not at any point in the surgery was I asked anything. During my consultation I had made sure to insist that I wanted to keep my teeth after since I thought it'd be cool. I understand that the surgeon would not remember this after two months but I wish they could have written it down somewhere on my documents as this was extremely important to me. My nerves kept me from remembering to ask during the actual procedure, but like I said I was never asked if I had any questions or concerns. I was too nervous about the injection due to my fear of needles to remember it. When they did inject me with the IV for anesthesia, they didn't tell me what they were putting in me. I just asked a question of why I felt odd and was told it's normal. When I woke up I was too medicated to think about asking. By the time I realized I didn't have my teeth hours later and we tried calling, the teeth had already been long disposed of. While some of this isn't really their fault exactly I still feel that I should have been asked if I had questions or something before they put anesthesia in me. My sockets seem to be healing fine but I'm absolutely furious I wasn't able to keep my teeth and that I didn't seem to be treated well. I love the dentist above them but I am not at all impressed with these surgeons. Get your act together. Check in on your patients. Ask some bloody questions.
