When I walked in the other day, I was greeted by an employee with bright pink hair who offered me a shopping bag. I politely declined and started walking into the store to browse. Instead of letting me shop, she continued talking to me while following me around the store. I tried several times to politely disengage by continuing to browse, but she kept following me and speaking very loudly. The interaction quickly went from friendly to overwhelming. I understand greeting customers and offering assistance, but this employee seemed unable to recognize that I wanted to shop on my own. It made me feel extremely uncomfortable and like I couldn't simply browse in peace. By the end of it, I just wanted to leave and come back another day. I've never experienced anything like this at this location before, which is disappointing because I genuinely enjoy shopping here. I hope this employee receives some coaching on reading customers' body language and recognizing when someone is politely trying to end a conversation.
