When I first got there, one girl asked me if I needed help and I told her my dilemma. She recommended two brands that she said have good products. She recommended a pricier brand and one that is a bit cheaper which was really nice. She always reminded me that if it doesn't work, I can return anything within 30 days, even if it's been used. When I went to checkout, the cashier was also super kind. Throughout my time there, many different people asked if I needed anything which I really appreciated. The manager very rudely came over to her and in a very rude way told her to "just go upfront." The manager looked for my order and found it. She shoved it at me in a rude manner also then went upfront and told the same employee, in the same rude way, "to go back to the register." Ok I realize neither of those statements are technically rude but if you heard how she said it, you would agree. I wish I knew her name but she was an older, dark haired woman and she needs some training on how to treat employees and customers.

In addition to having all the regular drug store fare when it comes to cosmetics and skin care (think Almay, Revlon, Neutrogena, Loreal, etc.), Ulta also carries several lines of skin care and make-up that you see in Sephora and high-end department stores (here, think Two Faced, Philosophy, Bare Escentuals, Kerastase, Anastasia, Smashbox, and the like). They also carry an extensive array of hair care, nail, and body products. For their hair care, they really do have it all, including dozens of specialty lines of professional products for every type of hair imaginable. From the looks of it, the back of the store also doubled as a hair salon, since I saw some ladies getting their hair blown out while seated in salon chairs. Towards the front of the store, they sell a nice selection of designer fragrances, and while they may not carry EVERY scent imaginable or all the latest in perfume/cologne, I did see all of my favorites on the shelves. They carried all the best sellers from Chanel, Dior, Marc Jacobs, D&G, and Burberry, to name a few. Did I mention they carry mens skin care, cologne, and hair cair products as well? They also provide eyebrow waxing, which I'm interested to try out. Ulta offers a rewards card similar to the Sephora card where you accumulate points for every dollar you spend at the store. I'm excited to have found an alternative to Sephora (even though I still love them) for my beauty needs.
