I went to Sallys to find a round hairbrush. The minute I walked in someone asked me if I needed help. I said no but realized I did after a few minutes. The gentleman working was so helpful and knowledgeable about the hairbrushes and the different types of hair dryers. He was such a nice guy. Everyone in that store was very nice. The girl that checked me out was very sweet also. The customer service was phenomenal. I've been to so many stores where I am ignored and the employees act like you are bothering them. No eye contact at the check-out. The employees at Sally are a true breath of fresh air. I've only been there twice, but I will be returning if I need something else. read more

I've only been here twice now. I come for the Indoor tanning lotion. Their stuff works good & smells amazing. I had the Coconut one & Mocha Latte lotions. Today, I bought 3 different ones & they were on sale, buy 2 @ $9.99 each,get 1 free. They're not self tanning, they're for Tanning Salons. (Booths,beds,etc...) The employees are fairly nice & the store has a lot of hair care products & idk what else, because I never really looked around. Sorry I can't be of more help. But definitely , instead of buying your $80 bottle of lotion at your Tanning Salon, go to Sally's. Much lower price & works just as good. read more

After my whole debacle of trying to find THE PERFECT hair stylist, I am now on the quest of maintaining my gorgeous do without having to spend hundreds of dollars (again). So here is where Sally's beauty supply comes into play. Late Sunday afternoon, I decided to stop by and get some hair dye. This location is very small (I guess, although I've not been to any other Sally's before), but it is in the same plaza as Tops Supermarket on elmwood avenue. Parking wasn't too bad, I didn't have any trouble finding parking (But it is a busy plaza). Upon walking in, I found the hair dye that I was looking for...and then I also came across Manic Panic (which is a semi- permanent fashion color hair dye). My hair is partly purple, so finding this was a very good accident on my part :) Overall, I found what I was looking for (and then some), with no problems at all. The employees were very nice and willing to help if you had questions. I'd give this place a 5 stars for ease and convenience and will definitely come again in the near future. read more

I've been going to Sally for years! Anyone may shop there; there are discounts if you have their annual membership ($5) or better deals if you have their pro card. Shops are small, but packed with supplies. They have fliers/emails that send out promos which are worth a look. Sales associates aren't necessarily cos certified, so you might find the same advice if not better doing your own research. This is a fine Sally's. I don't know when they popped up in every strip mall I ever see, but they have. Each store is similar, small, very busy with tons of merchandise. This one has easy parking because of where its located in the Tops Strip Mall on Elmwood. But it is a busy store, don't be fooled by the easy parking. 3 stars, its a chain. read more

Most of the time when I go here it's bc I don't want to go to CosmoProf. They have great basics - tint bowls, tint brushes, false eye lashes, nail polish, clips and appliances. Everyone is very helpful and have even offered to call other stores when they are out. The only gripe I have is that you don't need to be a certified cosmetologist to work here. I took the advice of someone who worked there and turned my hair green! (That was years before I went to cosmetology school). Beware if you ask for serious advice! read more

Went here today, experienced the staff ignoring me as I tried desperately to look for products. A group of customers just stood in front of what I was looking for, literally blocking me as I said excuse me several times, while a staff member was chatting away with them and stood next to me. All of them completely not acknowledging my existence in the space as all I wanted to do was get the product behind them in the shelves, and yes the one sale associate saw me, and just went back to chatting it up with those customers. It would have taken me a second to grab, literally they would not get out of way as I said excuse me over and over again (again the staff member was right there looking at me several times ignoring my multiple excuse me's, as if I was not even a human)Thanks but no thanks, going to another location from now on. Maybe you guys should learn to treat people like human beings. read more

This Sally's is pretty well stocked for the size of the store, decently clean and of course has ample parking, as it shares a plaza with Tops and ten or so other businesses in North Buffalo. The building itself is nothing special, standard strip mall fare, and if you are looking for more high-end or hard to find stuff this isn't the place for you. Several products my hair dressing friends have turned me on to are not sold here. Their prices are average-ish, but they have good sales regularly where you can stock up on things like Manic Panic, funky nail polish, etc. The employees are less knowledgeable (and often less helpful) than places like CosmoProf. CosmoProf requires you to have a license to shop, whereas Sally's allows in anyone and just gives a discount to the licensed; I'm sure that has a little something to do with their more stringent hiring requirements. Usually my customer service experience here ranges from meh to decent, but the last time I was in it was AWFUL. The lady at the register had just started and clearly had very limited training. The more experienced employee was busy chatting up a storm with a few customers, about nothing work related, and ignoring the cashier's pleas for helps. When she did finally come up she screw-faced the poop out of me, and yelled at me that next time I "wouldn't be able to buy all this stuff with a coupon on one transaction." When I pointed out that I had four bottles of product and the coupon stated I could get quite a few more than that per transaction she read it super intently, then huffed, rolled her eyes and silently went back to helping the cashier. I felt super bad for the new lady, who seemed really nice and clearly just wanted to do her job, being held work-hostage by this person's nasty attitude. read more

RIP hair straightener.... I knew it was near it's end but still a very sad day. I am used to going out to the Sally's on Niagara Falls Blvd where the staff is less than friendly but this was a curly hair emergency! I stopped into this location on Elmwood during my lunch hour and was blown away by the willingness of the staff to help and even point out a less pricey option. This location being pleasant to walk into and much closer to home is my new go to Sally's! read more

My boyfriend and I were walking in and were immediately turned around and told to wait outside until someone leaves which is understandable, but i wish someone was standing at the door to save us the embarrassment. On the door it very clearly says "only 3 customers at a time" and there was WELL over 3 people in the store.. you guys should probably fix that. A girl with green hair came to the door and said ONLY 1 PERSON can come in (being that there was one person waiting behind us we assumed that she was talking to her), so instead of getting skipped , i had to leave my boyfriend outside to go into the store. While checking out i asked the cashier for a little more clarification since the door wasn't accurate information. The girl with the green hair interrupted us and said 3 GROUPS of people can be in the store at a time. So why exactly did she say there was only ONE person allowed & not BOTH me & my boyfriend? That was very bias & rude. Sally's should also teach their employees better communication skills, it's completely rude to interrupt people while speaking just to give inaccurate information. This was a terrible experience, I was very upset & I will be finding a new beauty store with better treatment! read more
