You have the option to watch the employees in action of making the soap and you can personally tell them what scents/oils to add to your soap(s). So far, White Jasmine is my fav!!!! As you can see in the attached pics, the store is very organized and clean. The store not only make bar soap for the ladies, but soap for the men (yes, there's an entire side dedicated to the men), washing powder, bath bombs, lotions, room sprays, body butters, and the list goes on.... Can be on the expensive side so add your email address for discounts. As for the product - the soap has a very nice lather and the scent lasts the entire day! Softens the skin and the bar soap is very thick so it lasts longer than the average soap that's commercialized. Definitely recommend and will try the closest location to me now that I'm back home.

No lip bar, so I went on to look around at the cushion foundation (never mind if you have no clue what I was talking about). My Whoo cushion is running out so I thought maybe I would try another brand. Aritaum carries a few brands like Sulwhasoo, Laneige and Iope, all under Amore Pacific. Staff was helpful. As an out-of-town visitor, I needed a hair product in a travel-size version for my flight back home. I happened to find this store while shopping at the Goodwill next door (which, by the way, is a must-visit if you're in the area). From the moment I walked into STAR BEAUTY SUPPLY, I was met with pure rudeness and an unsettling undertone of discrimination. The owner/manager barely acknowledged me and was dismissive when I asked about a specific product, instead showing me items I had no interest in. What really disturbed me was how he treated me regarding a small bag from my purchase next door. He insisted I couldn't carry it while shopping, which I understood, so I offered to hand it to him. Instead of placing it in a secure spot, he gestured for me to put it on the floor, as if it were trash. When I suggested placing it behind the counter instead, he flatly refused and insisted that it stay on the floor. I declined. Despite the poor treatment, I managed to find the travel-size product I needed, paid for it, and attempted to leave. While I was checking my receipt outside, I took a picture of the store for reference. That's when the situation escalated--the owner actually came outside, taunted me, followed me, and even threatened to call the police! I calmly told him to go ahead since I had done nothing wrong--no threats, no disturbance, just a paying customer subjected to blatant disrespect. This is not how a business should treat its customers, especially with the kind of hostility I experienced. A quick glance at their online reviews will tell you that I'm not alone in this. If you are a person of color or simply value respectful customer service, I strongly urge you to take your business elsewhere. There are many other beauty supply stores that will gladly serve you with dignity--this one is NOT worth your time or money. #AvoidStarBeautySupply #HorribleCustomerService #DiscriminationHasNoPlace
