As soon as I walked in, Becky greeted me with a smile and asked if she could help. I told her I needed something to cover up these brown spots that have decided to move in, and she knew exactly where to take me. She walked me straight to the products I needed, explained how to use them, and stayed with me until I felt comfortable with everything. I was in and out in about 10 minutes with exactly what I needed. No pressure, no upselling--just genuine, friendly customer service. And judging by how well these products worked... maybe they're the reason Rite Aid went out of business! Thanks a million, Becky! You made this non-girly girl feel a whole lot more confident.

I rarely ask for help but when I do it's out on the floor and those employees are ALWAYS friendly. But over the last 3 trips the cashiers and one of the Managers are so snooty and condescending. I rarely ask any questions but when they talk to you it's almost like they're annoyed they have to deal with you while checking out or picking up an order. I can not figure out why they think it is okay to treat customers that spend money in the store that way. Most of them seem to not enjoy their job and based on their own beauty techniques I wouldn't ask them for help. Ulta is a step above CVS yet the cashiers act as if they work in a high end luxury store. You would think people would be nice and smile at you but they find any chance they can to be rude as if they're hoping you have a bad experience and don't come back. I've never encountered any retail store that consistently had bad service instead of it being a one off.

During my visit, I noticed the chairs were sanitized twice within the 2-3 hours I was there, which I really appreciated. Here's how the process works: 1. You arrive and are greeted by whichever staff member sees you first. 2. You check in at the kiosk (you can also self check-in through the app). 3. You choose any available chair. 4. A staff member comes to you for a consultation and helps match your hair color. Inspiration photos are welcome, which makes the process easier. Tidbit: I did have to wait an extra hour for the appropriate artist to properly match my hair color, and I honestly didn't mind. I appreciated the honesty and professionalism from the initial consultation artist and the GM who personally checked in with me. 5. My artist, Briana, worked her magic using the foil coloring technique. 6. My color was washed, followed by toner, and then another wash. 7. You blow dry your own hair. This is not a full-service salon, which is actually one of the reasons I love the concept. After sitting for a few hours during the coloring process, I don't mind drying my own hair. I usually air dry anyway, so it's nice to have the flexibility to simply leave with damp hair if you're in a rush. 8. Check out and tip! This was my first hair coloring experience with Madison Reed Hair, and I'm so glad I didn't let the negative reviews influence me. Yesterday during my third visit I showed them several inspo pics that I wanted to go blonder and immediately told me they couldn't highlight over already highlighted areas?? ( like wym you colored my hair twice before. Isn't this place called the color bar). They also showed me a pic of how it would look like and it ended up looking nothing like it. Later they told me they were going to do my whole head and they only did the mid upper part. So I can tie it up for work or even do a half up. I said I had a coupon but they said they couldn't honor it. They would take $75 off but it would turn out I would have to pay $75 monthly, like what??? All this for the total of $280, $280!!!!! I was told several times they have lots of specials yet none of those specials could have been applied to me. A prior time they have this protective treatment for $40 which i explicitly told one of the girls no I don't want to pay for it. And at the end other girl was like okay well I already applied it on your hair so it's $40. Honestly just go somewhere else.
