About 2 weeks ago I…read morewalked in to the store to make an appointment for a full face makeover for an upcoming wedding I was attending. Yesterday June 6th at 9:35 am I receive a call from the store manager clearly stating oh there has been a mistake and your 12:30 pm appointment was booked for 15 min so you can come in at a later time we can do it then but I have another appointment right after you so we can't do your make up at the time it was scheduled. So I explain I have a wedding to attend I can't do later but maybe I can Try and come in earlier. How about 11:30 am because again I really need to have my make up done. So being I had a prior appointment and I noticed I wouldn't be done in time I called the store and told the gentleman that answered I'm not going to make it at 11:30 but as soon as I'm done I'll be there just so you know I'm still coming. So I made it at 12:10 pm 20 min prior to when my original appointment was booked. When I walked through the door I was not even greeted properly by neither one of the 3 staff members by the register. As soon as I approached the front and tell them I'm here for an appointment the manager right away begins to bark at me your appoint was for 11:30 and it's 12:10 we can do one service because you are late etc. again I explain to her I made my appoint in store it was not my mistake your store made the mistake because I clearly came to your store and made an appointment. She proceeds to say well you can try Macys or Bloomingdale's to do your make up. Excuse me the day of my event you are going to send me to a different store. At this point I'm livid customers service went out the door professionalism out the door. This lady Monica has never been a manager prior to this opportunity Mac gave her and unfortunately the job and responsibility is too much for her to handle. Even my 10 year old can take responsibility when he makes a mistake this lady clearly missed business management 101. At this point I didn't even want the service but I still had to attend this wedding and it was too late to try anywhere else but I don't support businesses that don't know how to treat paying customers. And yes make up is free but you have to purchase 4 products which is the same as paying. After going back and forth with this lady for about 5 min she tells me have a seat we can do our best. Honestly patience at this point the guy that took down my appointment that made the mistake took no responsibility for the mistake. He ended up doing my make up he didn't do a bad job but it was basic and rushed. They had 3 make up artist on staff who can all do make up and you still decide to give me a hard time because of your mistake. So while I'm sitting there the next appointment walks in and guess what it was a white lady with her white daughter they walked in 12:30 pm the same mistake could have affected their appointment but why weren't they told anything why weren't they barked at as soon as they walked through the door. Now I don't pull race anywhere I go but this was clearly out in the open because I'm of color maybe I wasn't going to spend or you thought I wasn't going to spend. I am never walking into this store again and would never recommend Mac to anyone I know. Horrible customer service horrible staff. They completely ruined my experience with Mac and I was a customer for a very long time. Zero stars is what they deserve.

The customer service is amazing everything is shelved neatly and no messing like other beauty supply stores I've been to. They have jewelry, makeup, fragrances (even Victoria's secrets lotions and perfumes) perms, dyes anything you can think of they have it. The have many weaves to choose from Brazilian, yaki, remy, synthetic whatever you want and their wigs are nice as well. Very friendly staff. It was hard to find the place I always kept walking pass it but it right next door to Maple Liquor Store.

Extremely Disappointed - Completely Unprofessional Experience…read more My daughter had her senior prom on May 13, a once-in-a-lifetime event she had been looking forward to for months. She scheduled a hair appointment at this salon for 12:00 PM and we arrived early at 11:45 AM--only to find the salon completely closed. We waited until noon, assuming the stylist might just be running late, but no one showed up. We tried calling, texting, and messaging her through Instagram multiple times, but received absolutely no response. We waited until 12:45 PM--still nothing. At that point, we were left scrambling, trying to find a last-minute salon that could take a walk-in. Thankfully, we eventually found a place that was kind enough to help us on such short notice. But the stress, panic, and disappointment were overwhelming--especially on such an important day. What makes this worse is that this wasn't our first bad experience. Last year, the same stylist had my daughter wait 45 minutes after her scheduled appointment. We gave her the benefit of the doubt then, but clearly this is a pattern. To top it all off, the people in nearby businesses noticed our frustration and shared that this kind of behavior is common for her--apparently, many other clients have complained that she's frequently late or doesn't show up at all. Her usual excuse, we've learned, is a "medical emergency," but at this point, it sounds more like an excuse than an explanation. I cannot stress enough how unprofessional and unreliable this place is. We are extremely disappointed and would not recommend this salon to anyone. If you value your time--and especially if you're booking for a special occasion--go elsewhere.

I went two times after that, and the same lady kept telling me the same thing. They have stolen $65 from me. And it's my word against there's that really stinks. This place was the answer to all my hair and makeup prayers…read more Let me preface with I'm very picky, especially with my hair, because I've always had curly unmanageable hair (until I found this place). I walked in with dry, dull, damaged hair and 7 inches of roots (I was worried that coloring would make things worse). After a few visits over a month I had beautiful color with highlights and the smoothest/healthiest hair I've ever had in my ENTIRE life. I had my color and highlights done by Devon with olaplex to protect my hair 3 weeks before my wedding. I went in the night before my wedding to get my hair blown out and had an additional olaplex treatment. Then the morning after my wedding Primo did my brazilian keratin blowout because I didn't want to worry about frizz and curls on my honeymoon and my hair has never looked or felt so amazing. Jennifer did my hair on my actual wedding day and I looked like a princess...even better. As for makeup, I went through 5 makeup studios for wedding day trials and no one came close to what they did here. I looked glamorous without looking like I had pounds of caked on makeup. I originally had my makeup done by Jennifer during a trial and it was like she was sent to me from heaven. When I came in the night before my wedding for a final trial I had my makeup done by a different girl who's name I can't remember and I feel so bad!! I remember it started with a "V" and she was really pretty. She ended up doing an amazing job and Jennifer suggested bringing her for the morning of the wedding so that things would be more efficient and I would get to sleep in. It all worked out perfectly and I'm never letting any other salon touch my hair ever again. They love what they do here and it shows, and they really know what they're doing.

This has been the worst experience I've ever had…read more Yesterday I went to get an underarm wax, and the person who did it was not professional at all she didn't even know what she was doing. She burned my underarms, and now I have to use an antibiotic to relieve the pain and burning. This had never happened to me before. When I tried to tell her that something was wrong and bothering me, her response was, "It'll go away in 5 minutes." I could clearly see my skin was getting irritated. She didn't even use baby powder, which is usually applied before waxing, and I believe the wax temperature was way too hot, which caused the burns. Terrible service, I will never go back. I'm writing this review so that people can be careful about where they go to get a wax.
