A very important element as two of our party are vegan. We had a lovely evening and were blown away by the fantastic food, beautiful restaurant and warm ambience. Service was slow-moving which suited us perfectly as we wanted a leisurely, relaxed, family evening. Everyone in our party enjoyed their food, with the pièce de résistance being the exceptional vegan dishes. My starter was a flavourful platter of stuffed peppers, olives, mushrooms, bread and chutney. For main course I had roast winter veg, semolina & salsa verde with vegan chips and Garlic Rough Cuts. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. When booking I had mentioned that two of us are vegan and the Chef surprised us by created a couple of luxurious, off-menu desserts, a vegan Merengue and chocolate, praline, cherry mousse. This really was something special - we were so impressed! Thank you Moody Boar for such a fantastic evening, phenomenal vegan food and completely excelling all our expectations. We will be back, again and again..

This is a wonderful place. We really look forward to it when we know we are going…read more We are infrequent visitors as we only go here when we travel to Armagh to go to the Marketplace theatre and with covid it's only our third visit in about three years, so they'll not make much of a living on us. We've never been disappointed and we really enjoyed our latest visit. They get the meaning of hospitality: the welcome is warm, the food is great and all the staff charming. I opted for a steak & chips but it was a close run thing to a delicious sounding vegetarian risotto but it was my third dine out in 4 days with the other two being non meat, so steak it was. I asked for medium; I got medium. The meat was really flavoursome too. I asked for English mustard (best in the world) and it was a yes and I flipped the onion rings for tobacco onions and it was no problem. Just to note in passing the number of so called steak houses that don't have English mustard is as staggering as it is unacceptable. The tasty steak had a bacon jam spread atop. I'd never heard of it. It was salty, sweet so bacon, balsamic vinegar maybe sugar, I ate it all though my personal preference remains mustard. I'd like to try it as a spread on toasted crumpets with a lightly fried egg on top. The only thing I would change in my meal is the pepper sauce but again it's personal taste as I'd add double cream and a lot more black pepper. My wife opted for salmon and she declared it delicious. All in all another enjoyable meal in cosy surroundings. Hopefully we'll be back sooner rather than later.

Well, Toasted turned out to be quite the little treat! With about a half hour to kill between the…read morepoint we had to drop our daughter off for school and then be back in time to see her play, we didn't have too many options, and as a result called in here. I've seen the sign out on the main road (which would be easy to miss) every day as it's on my commute to work and yet I've never been in. So this worked out well. What a great hidden gem, loved this place. If you're looking for it, it is opposite the attendant-less Maxol garage, down the side of the used car place. The décor has all the hallmarks of a trendy contemporary coffee shop/deli, nothing too original, but to their credit they have distilled the design to the best elements of it and then executed the layout very well, so it's a nice place to be. The staff were great too which I love as there is little to endear a place to me more quickly than nice people working there who are nice, not through customer training but because they are just good folks!! The food when was great, a wide range of mouth-watering choices are clearly displayed across the huge menu..... which is the entire back wall of the place. It has been painted in blackboard paint and the menu chalked up in big clear writing. The prices although on the higher end of average aren't extortionate by any means so I wouldn't call it cheap eats but you get top quality food and service for just north of average price. The coffee was great, which is an essential element for me and the last thing I ate was a scone..... as we were there so early, it was freshly backed and still warm from the oven......................... so so good!

Our room was beautiful, with 2 single beds and a massive bathroom, so no complaints there! We got ready and headed straight to the thermal suites, and we were so impressed with the facilities - big thermal bath with jacuzzi jets, steam room and sauna and a lovely little heated seat area where you can just relax. We spent hours just soaking away in the ambience looking at the beautiful indulgent decor......just amazing! We (eventually) headed back to our room and got ready for dinner and went down to the bar where we got a lovely table by the fire. Our orders were taken quickly but unfortunately we waited for about 20 minutes for 2 glasses of wine, just a few minutes before our main meal was served. My friend then ordered a dessert while I opted for a cocktail....which never arrived :( I didn't complain about this at the time as I had decided I wasn't that bothered about the cocktail at that point. We went for breakfast in the morning, which was a buffet style, with cereals and hot food available - all delicious, before heading to check out. This was when I realised that there was an issue with the bill, they were trying to charge me for the cocktail I ordered the previous night but never received - £7 is a bit much for an imaginary strawberry daiquiri I think lol Anyway it was all resolved fairly quickly with no major issues and we went on our way! I have to say aside from the issues with the drinks at the bar this stay is the best £35 I have ever spent - I will definitely be looking out for this offer again and recommending everyone else to do the same :)
