Today I had my 6 month cleaning . I was a little nervous since this is my first visit since the…read morecoronavirus outbreak . I was so happy to see that all precautions were made and they were following all the guide lines. Before I came down I called ahead to see what the protocol was . They said to call and let them know when you arrive , they also instructed me to keep the air on while I waited in the car since they would taking my temperature. Of course wear a mask ! So on arrival I did just that . I didn't have to wait long maybe 10 mins , They came to get me and I only brought in my car keys and charge card . They took my temperature even before I walked in the door and held the door open for me , I was told to Purell my hands , and handed over my charge card which they immediately cleaned ! Than I was escorted to the room where my dental hygienist Sally was waiting for me ! Sally is so kind , professional and extremely gentle ! There was plexiglass at the reception area and everyone was wearing gowns / gloves / masks and also had their hair covered !The works !!!! Also Sally while working on me wore a face shield along with her mask , gown , gloves and head covering. When I was done I was escorted out . I can't express how comfortable I felt ! Exceptional care was taken to make sure everyone patients and employees were kept safe !

I have to start at the beginning. In the past I've received terrible dental care in one form or another at different offices. I was already a non-complaining patient with low standards for dental care practitioners and lots of endurance for them and their office people. Until my last dental visit in Bay Shore, where an actual Instructor of dentistry at Stoneybrook (in his own office) left me very fearful and never wishing to visit another dentist ever again. He hit the nerve in my face with the numbing injection and was very careless and unprofessional. He actually greatly filed away my porcelain crown to get a tooth out next to it and never asked me informed me it said a word about it. ... but removed the entire outside of the crown on a large side facing out. (That was my experience with Dr. Calderone). And he installed a post that is now sideways with no crown because I was afraid to go back there even though i had to already pay for everything upfront. His office people just as terrible. So several years later when my upper back tooth cracked in several placesI would not get help. Then a filling fell out of another tooth nearby and bad odors occurring I just took natural herbal antibiotics to keep infection from forming over 3 years time with both teeth. Until a family member told me about her Wonderful Oral Surgeon, Dr. LEVINE. And the option she had to have general anesthesia for her complicated tooth extraction. it all went very well for her. And because I have recently been experiencing sudden panic attacks after the loss of my son, I thought maybe I could safely address my dental issues. I visited the office, ALL OF THE OFFICE TEAM was very caring, clear, and professional no long wait time. I met with Dr. Levine... he's absolutely wonderful caring and professional. No drama, very clear listened to my concerns and answered all my questions. . They offer a visiting anesthesia, Dr. Sarah Forgy with MAPS. She calls me gets my info personally and makes sure I'm going to be okay. I told her I tend to be chronically dehydrated and low blood pressure... she offers saline as part of the treatment, explains everything she's going to do very caring genuinely listening, I'm amazed. At my visit today the entire team gets me greeted me with care, positive attitude, and minutes before the procedure i started getting a panic attack. She held my hand... she switched the focus to talking about our beloved dogs... she was very professional and caring she was a calming presence. The procedure went well. I was not over-anesthetized... the office called with follow up, Dr. Forgy texted me to check in on me. I just can't say enough good things. I went from being extremely afraid of dentists after my last experience to once again having faith in seeing a dental professional. I'm so grateful beyond words. And my idea of dental professionalism has a higher standard now. I highly recommend this office, these Doctors Levine and Dr. Forgy for Anasthesia (anywhere, for any procedure that requires anasthesia). And I Thank God for the experience of having healthy dental repair with the best professional dental care!!!! I highly suggest this office and Dr s and dental team.

They are a well oiled machine. Procedures went well and they checked on me all the way through. they called and texted next day to make sure I was ok. From the moment I called, I knew this place was exceptional. I got a next day appointment and when I arrived, everyone in reception, were professional, patient, courteous and so very nice. The wait was brief and whilst I was waiting, I did hear and observe patients, raving about how highly recommended Dr Fisher was. Once I was called, it was such an unbelievably pleasant experience and I saw why. Dr Fisher's staff members were top notch! The office and rooms were immaculate and equipment, state of art. I had xray prior and I understand each place wants to die there own. I have great insurance but when I got there they wanted to take a xray fine but then they put me in the chair come back and tell me it's not covered I owe $125 while I'm waiting for the dentist. They got me out the chair do speak to them and said I had to pay now. It's not the money it's the principle. How yiu one take a xray then tell me I owe some people don't have credit cards or money available then get me out the seat said we need it now we can't bill. I called my insurance they said they're in the wrong don't pay when they submit it they will deny it and appeal it on my behalf. After hearing that I refused service and left. I don't want my insurance going to them I'm sorry it could be petty but advise people first so my suggestion is to ask this place first before you get something done
