Unfortunately, I had 2 bad experiences with leading edge oral surgery with Craig Levine at the helm. First, I had molar removed,the next day I had a mouth full of blood in the morning. A piece of my jaw was protruding into my month and cutting my tongue. I had to rush down to the office so he could grind my protruding jaw bone down. Second,Craig Levine did a very difficult extraction of my wisdom tooth below the gum. To my surprise, a follow-up several months later revealed he had broken my molar. About 2 minutes after he realized he had broken my molar, he came into the room with form for me to sign. He would remove the tooth at no cost if I signed. It said I would complain to no one about this mishap. I refused and wanted the tooth taken out and a new implant , at no cost to me. Both extractions were very painful and had mistakes. So if you want pain and shoddy work, use Craig Levine, leading edge oral surgery. Craig is not worried. " That's what malpractice insurance is for." That's what he said to me! read more

Dr. Levine is an excellent oral surgeon. He asks questions about your medical/surgical history because he is a thorough and smart professional who knows that a patient's history is necessary information for any surgical procedure, including oral surgery. His office is usually extremely busy because there are not that many oral surgeons in our geographic that can compare with the wonderful level of surgical skill and compassion possessed by Dr. Levine. I know that I am safe and will receive excellent oral surgery care from the minute I enter his office. Lastly, his office staff are always pleasant and dedicated to patients. I saw 2 reviews on Yelp that were unfortunate. One reviewer said she was annoyed when she was asked about her current medication which shows her lack of knowledge about what information is required before any surgical procedure (even oral surgery). I am leaving this review because as a board certified pathologist, I have worked with many surgeons when I was employed at a NYC hospital. So I have seen some good and some less than good surgeons. Oral surgery is very complicated and I think that Dr. Levine gives excellent nerve blocks which shows that he has excellent knowledge of anatomy. But eventually, nerve blocks and anesthesia will wear off and the pain will become evident. Dr. Levine has always given me an additional nerve block if the prior block stops working.!I think that I can tell the difference. We are lucky to have an excellent oral surgeon in Bayshore. He also took excellent care of my 95 year old Mother who was a complicated patient with severe dementia. read more

I can't say enough wonderful things about Dr. Levine and his amazing staff. I was referred to him for a suspicious spot under my tongue, and was petrified it might be the "c" word. Huge shout out to Bianca who was unbelievably kind and helpful on the phone. She made sure I got in for an appointment right away. During my consultation, Dr. Levine was so calming and compassionate, and told me it was nothing to worry about. On the way out, I was so teary, then they told me I was all set... no need to pay since they didn't do anything! These were my Christmas angels for sure! read more

Dr Levine was great! I had a tooth extracted in April of 2016.I just received a call now in November of 2017,That they did not submit to the proper dental insurance. The first two experiences were mediocre. Nothing that warrants a bad review but this new experience does. I work for a doctors office, you're allowed to take your morning medicines with a small sip of water so I did. I was supposed to be put under because of my severe anxiety but the doctor refused saying it was too dangerous since I took my medicine. I grinned and bared it, not happy whatsoever. She told me they were giving me sedatives while they were taking the teeth out but I felt the teeth ripping through my gums and it was the most excruciating pain i've ever felt. I have gastroparesis and I have to eat every two hours, they know that since i've mentioned it twice to them. I had to not eat after midnight, I woke up at 4 am out of a dead sleep from hunger so I half asleep ate a banana but couldn't go back to sleep because i was still in excruciating pain from being hungry. From 4:30 to 10:30 am i was in the most horrific pain. My appointment was supposed to be at 10 but naturally they were behind. The real kicker is, they still made me PAY for the general anesthesia which I was NOT given. I was ripped off and I am raging with anger. We had to give them $1500 FOR NO REASON. And the doctor had the nerve to ask me if I do drugs because I said Advil and Tylenol do not work for me. Dr. Fayans then told me to just "take nothing for the pain then." I was sent home with nothing but unbearable, excruciating pain. read more

Let me first say the staff is wonderful. That is where it ends. I took my 9 year old to have two baby teeth extracted and I believe they didn't wait for the area to be completely numb before they began with the needles. i heard her screaming from the waiting room because that is where they told me I had to stay. of course I then went back and the doctor (not levine) was arrogant and dismissive. Told me I had to go back to waiting room bc that was policy. It is absolutely ridiculous that I was not permitted to hold my 9 year old hand and calm her until she was completely numb. I will never go back!!! The staff was sweet and tried to reassure me but I am so sorry I chose this particular doctor to care for my child. To say I am disappointed is an understatement. read more

I was referred to this office by a friend as I needed to have an emergency tooth extraction. They fit me in within 48 hours of my request. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. I have extreme dental anxiety and their sedation process put me right at ease. I highly recommend this practice to anyone who may be putting off procedure because of their own fears. Stay away from this office!!!. I called this dental office to confirm that they accept my insurance plan. They took all of my information and called me back within the hour to say that they verified my insurance plan and the extraction would be covered under my plan. However, if I needed to be put to sleep the cost would be $250 dollars at my expense. I choose to have my wisdom tooth pulled and endure the pain to save $250.00 under local Novocaine. (These are difficult times with the recession.) It took them over an hour to extract because the root was so big. After that traumatic experience a month later I receive a bill in the mail. I called the office and spoke to that lackey office manager because she was the person I originally spoke to about the insurance verification. She then turned around and told me that she did not write the contact person's information down and I was stuck with a $326.00 bill. Basically I was out of luck. Apparently they are not a participating provider and basically they freaking lied to get my money. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE, THERE BUSINESS PRACTICE IS UNETHICAL.
