Checked to make sure Dr was in network and the root canal was covered. Paid the $100 at the time of service that i owed. A month or so later i started receiving harrasing emails & text messages saying i owe over $1k! Called my ins co. They never even receieved a claim. Called the smilist and the woman was rude! Work on your people skills. If you're not sympathetic to this type of craziness you shouldnt be answeing phones. She claims the claim was sent on day of service and it will be resent but the bills won't stop. Why? Why do i have to be harrased about a bill i will not owe. I am very disappointed and will never go back there.

I had two appointments here, one cleaning, and one filling…read more The cleaning seemed to be very thorough but it was painful and i was not a fan of the technique where the hygenist picks at your gums to see if they bleed. my teeth hurt for weeks after this. there is also a big push to get invisalign here so they will ask you about it no doubt multiple times. their phone message system doesn't seem to be coordinated with their online check in system so even if you provide your health and insurance information beforehand, you will probably still receive texts daily leading up to the appointment telling you that you haven't. As far as the filling procedure itself it was painless and the dentist was very accommodating, however it seems like the office is a little busy at times and they are pushed to cut corners. there were several interruptions while my filling was being done by other staff members inquiring about how much longer it was going to take. In the end it seems like my filling was rushed because it was very rough and protruded to the point that it was pressuring the adjacent tooth and caused sharp pain. I ended up having to get it fixed about a week and a half after while i was on vacation. Overall I would say this is not a bad office but you need to be aware and always advocate for yourself. If something feels wrong, tell them otherwise they will gladly send you off.

Children crack teeth all the time, they have accidents, etc and we can't believe a pediatric dentistry would react this way to what ended up being serious damage that required an immediate extraction. Dr Shank and his staff provide great service and truly cares for his patients. When you walk in, you see a small waiting room. There is a basement play room for where the younger kids can play while they wait to be called in. The receptionists are courteous and always on top of things...very efficient. They greet the kids as they walk up come in the sign in. Dr Shank embraces technologies. He has a web site where you can check your appointments, and register for TXT reminder for appointment. Recently he sent out mail and emails about an event he was having to show his appreciation for his patients. A day when any one of his patients could come in a get free ice cream. A small gesture, but a very thoughtful one. Went there today to have my son's braces adjusted (only ran into 2 people that we knew), and he walked out with an Italian Ice. :)

They are responsible to give proper instructions to make sure they patients receive the treatment properly. Their hours are awful. They are open in such a weird time frame and they don't properly care for their patients.
