I had two appointments here, one cleaning, and one filling…read more The cleaning seemed to be very thorough but it was painful and i was not a fan of the technique where the hygenist picks at your gums to see if they bleed. my teeth hurt for weeks after this. there is also a big push to get invisalign here so they will ask you about it no doubt multiple times. their phone message system doesn't seem to be coordinated with their online check in system so even if you provide your health and insurance information beforehand, you will probably still receive texts daily leading up to the appointment telling you that you haven't. As far as the filling procedure itself it was painless and the dentist was very accommodating, however it seems like the office is a little busy at times and they are pushed to cut corners. there were several interruptions while my filling was being done by other staff members inquiring about how much longer it was going to take. In the end it seems like my filling was rushed because it was very rough and protruded to the point that it was pressuring the adjacent tooth and caused sharp pain. I ended up having to get it fixed about a week and a half after while i was on vacation. Overall I would say this is not a bad office but you need to be aware and always advocate for yourself. If something feels wrong, tell them otherwise they will gladly send you off.

With that being said, HERE WE GO: Front desk - 4/5 - they said there was an issue with my insurance. I told them there wasn't and it was the same. They insisted I had to pay out of pocket for my cleaning. I assured them this was incorrect (I only booked the appointment because I had two cleanings for free per year from my insurance). The gentleman at the front desk checked again and again, realized something wasn't "coded" correctly (I don't know what that means), and told me the appointment was covered by insurance. I was considering giving 1 stars because of this, but the fact that he stuck with it and figured out the issue was assuring. The whole thing only took about 5-10 minutes of awkward haggling, but we got there. (I think this issue probably could have been rectified beforehand. Please check my insurance BEFORE I come to let me know there is some issue, no?) Hygienist - 5/5 - I think she could tell I didn't want to be there. I had my headphones on and grimaced every time she went into my mouth. She was courteous, efficient, and I know she did a good job because my mouth definitely felt cleaner afterwards. Doctor - 0/5 - This is where it gets weird. After the hygienist finished, she told me I have to wait for a check in with the doctor. After waiting what feels like an unnecessary 15-20 minutes, the doctor comes in. This is how the conversation goes: Dr. Rob: Hello, what nationality are you? ME: ? ? ? Dr. Rob: Where are you from? ME: I am from here. (this is true. I was born in NY. Nothing else matters) Dr. Rob: (doesn't get the hint, I don't feel like discussing pedigree) (insists) No, where is your family from? ME: South America. Dr. Rob: (continues prying) Ok. What do you do for work? ME: (Please just tell me my teeth are fine so I can GET OUT OF HERE) Law.
