I would leave a zero if I could. we used the boarding facility with dog training. We told her a dog…read morehad anxiety and what we really wanted was training everyday. My dog was taken into the boarding area which is nice enough with heated floors. As our dog was walking through the door her little dogs came charging at him (behind fencing) and Started our dog. Then our dog was put into a kennel surrounded by 3 other kennels and my dog freaked out. So we told her this wasn't going to work and she moved him to the other side of the room which was better for him. I wasn't so sure if this was a good place for him and told her if there was any problems to call us ASAP. We called her later to check in and she said he was fine. When we returned after 7 days we found out he had been stressed all week, had diarrhea and she didn't want him back. I asked her if had had any training or any exercise outside and she said NO. I also asked her why she didn't call us because I don't want my dog going through this - she said oh I didn't think you had anyway to take him!!!! when she knew our other dog was home and we wanted Marley to come stay and get training!!! So our dog was locked up for a week - stressed out . I told her I just want my dog now - when I went in the back he was back into the kennel that was in the middle of all the other dogs - the one that he was moved out of before. I'm guessing she didn't want to walk across the room to feed him. My dog is so messed up right now due to this abuse!!!! Btw the 2 times I was there while all the dogs were stressed (due to her little dogs) she never once tried to console any of them!!! I can't imagine her being a good dog trainer seeing how she treated my dog, or the lack of empathy I saw for the other dogs there. I suppose if you just want your dogs locked in a kennel this is the place to go.

I also think that the individual training classes are extremely beneficial. Since there aren't other dogs around, Brenda's able to focus on just my pup and the things he needs to work on. Side note - You'll need to practice everything you learn on your own to see progress!!!

I know I wrote a review here at the beginning of the year and not sure where it went so I'm…read morerewriting it!! I brought my dogs here at Christmas time last year so I could visit grandchildren and it was an out-of-the-way last minute thing since the normal place I go was completely booked up and just could not even budge one dog. So I came here and my experience was very good. My dogs all boarded together and I paid for the playtime once a day and everything went really well. I was really happy that they told me when I left that the dogs were really good dogs and easy to take care of that made me feel really, really good. I have gone back to my usual place, but I am definitely considering coming back here again because they offered the dogs some playtime and where I go does not. Again, the experience was good. The hotel was clean and well maintained, and the dogs seemed very happy when they came home. All in all good.

As it had been a year and change of ownership can create issues in organization, I decided to give…read morethem another chance at grooming my dogs, as they honestly they do the best job on both of them (although the work was complete before the new owners took over). I was told due to being unhappy and writing a review last year I have been blacklisted and am not allowed to use their grooming or boarding any longer. I was even willing to do extra vaccinations against my vets warnings of the potential health issues of giving too many vaccines. So take this as a warning to anyone looking to do business with this company, don't talk about them if it's negative.

She was absolutely wonderful in terms of explaining what would happen, being so compassionate and soft spoken about the whole situation. When that is no longer the case and tough decisions need to be made, we had an excellent experience with Compassionate Care to say goodbye to our pup. Let me start by saying that every administrative and customer service interaction was timely, clear, and concise. The last thing you want in this situation are delays and confusion. Once I reached out through the contact link on their website, the email response with details about their different services happened within 10 minutes. An intake call to make arrangements for a euthanasia visit at our home was answered by a human and only took a few minutes. They recommend making a reservation 48-hours in advance, but we were put on a wait-list and we moved up our reservation when things opened up. I appreciate that you can reschedule (with four hours advance notice) as well. They have a variety of services, Eco-friendly cremation, and memorial pieces. Everything was arranged in advance, including payment through their web portal, so when the vet arrived for the appointment it was all about our boy and his (and our) comfort. Dr. Wilson clearly walked us through the process, gave us time to say goodbye, provided options, and was a wonderful partner in the process. Cremation is done at a facility in N. Portland, but they have the option of picking up the cremains in Oregon City which was more convenient for us. Having gone through this experience with another pet where we took them to the vet's office, I would highly recommend this option for the pet's comfort. It just felt better saying goodbye in a familiar space surrounded by love.
