We ordered mojito and beers plus guacamole to start and then fish with garlic and chicken as main course. The food came promptly and was nice. The whole fish was over cooked and the quantity of the guacamole was small. The cost came to under $300 per person which is good value

And the wings were juicy and the bones easy to open to access the marrow ... skins could have been crispier but hey it was good anyway ... they cost a bit more than 10 pesos per wing which isn't bad and I loved the flavor ... I also appreciated how they decorated a fancy little salad around the wings and randomly decided to give us a big free basket of tortilla chips which where still warm when they arrived ... we were actually confused if we got the tortillas because we were waiting a little while for the wings or because it was complementary... either way, it was appreciated I actually came back here again later in the week to have the classic fish burger for 60 pesos but I did not find myself liking it as much as I remember when I stole a few bites from my partner ... when I ended up having the whole meal I found it to be an overly fatty meal with the fries and the super tender and oily fish burger ... it was tasty but perhaps my body just needed something healthier at the time... it also fell apart in my little hands but the customer service was super fast and kind so or course they need to have a good tip ... particularly with their prices being half of what the prices are of nearby restaurants

The beach dogs were a highlight: friendly, chill, and so well-behaved that a few even napped at our feet during meals. Service at the restaurant was quick, and I ate there often -- the food was great and the Wi-Fi there worked well. I also felt really safe; there's someone stationed outside through the night. The rooms were comfortable, and the cleaning staff deserves special mention -- the woman who cleaned our room went above and beyond (she even organized my makeup one morning!). Everything was spotless, and the beds were super cozy. The main downside was the Wi-Fi in the rooms -- it barely worked, so I had to head down to the restaurant for a connection. We stayed in a suite, which looked a bit more spacious in the photos, so that was a small disappointment. There were also a few bugs and small critters (mosquitoes, crickets, lizards), but considering the off-grid, jungle-meets-beach vibe, it's understandable. Overall, it was a great stay -- beautiful setting, perfect location, and easy access to food, the beach, and town. Would definitely recommend for anyone who wants a laid-back, scenic Tulum experience.

We sat on the couches on the beach. Attention to detail, Delicious food, great service, beautiful atmosphere. Highly recommend for a romantic quick bite or dinner with friends. It is a stray from the bohemian character and culture of zipolite - while we enjoyed everything - I would suggest this place as an option but not a solution to all the other great small culturally significant locally owned and family driven restaurants in town. They are open later than 6pm- so that should be updated on Yelp.

I was surprised how good the fish burger was ... the fish was so high quality it should have been called a grilled fish sandwich rather than a burger ... Would have been good to have another option instead of french fries though ... nice if you could have chosen another side ... like applesauce or salad maybe... or steamed carrots or broccoli idk ... I always look for healthy options I do miss the herbed oil they had before since the salsas they served with the bread were much too hot for me to enjoy and the bread could have used much more of the herbed sauce they drizzled on top ... would have also liked if they toasted the bread a snitch more too but it was good bread We especially liked the non-alcoholic drink called "Pinada" which is a slushy of pineapple and coconut ... it's a must .... they made it right away the first time we asked for it but when we asked the second time before our food was even delivered they did not give it to us until after we finished our meal so we had to cancel the order ... not sure why it can sometimes take so long but not really professional to serve it after the meal when we asked for it before the meal We would come back here to try other menu items ... am curious about some of their vegan selections Full disclaimor: the female waiter wasn't very friendly ... she looked annoyed (with her clenched mouth and lack of eye contact) the entire time and the little dude was a lot nicer and actually acknowledged you as a person ... he was maybe too accommodating thought and it was not necessarily for him to get the chairs for us ... he meant well but it kind of made it harder to sit down with it moving and all It is nice also to have the choice of indoor and outdoor seating ... good place to watch the superbowl as they have the large screen upstairs and nice that you can see then grill your food in front of you ... also general environment although there is a dog who sadly looks at you while you are eating and it makes you feel a tad nervous ... the dog doesn't do anything though just sits there in the off chance he gets a treat

LOVE LOVE LOVE Brad's split coconut!!!…read more "I don't know the reason I stayed here all season Nothin to show but this brand new tattoo But it's a real beauty A mexican cutie How it got here I haven't a clue" I can't really tell you everything that goes on at the split coconut bc I can't remember half & chose not to tell the other. Lol This is THE best beachside shanty restaurant/bar in Port. I watched the Super Bowl this year right from this place with the sand between my toes. That was a good day. Good times. Lol One of the best things about the Coconut is that it's owned by this very cool laid back Canadian guy. I have seen him bartend, take orders, bust tables, he really cares about his business & everyone loves him. A real Jimmy Buffet type & type of place. Not only do all the Canadians flock here for Wednesday night horseshoes, Thursday/Friday night live music & Saturday night open mic night, the locals come in droves too. Mainly bc of the incredible BBQ!!! There is a giant grill parked right next to the bar & most days the bar opens by 2pm & they crank that BBQ up & start making ribs, burgers & the fresh catch of the day they just picked up off the fishing boats right from the Pacific Ocean 200 yards in front of the place. Coconuts sits right on the beach just left of Playa Principle where all the fisherman bring in their fresh catch every morning at 6:00am. The fish specials change daily but there is always ribs, burgers & BBQ on the menu. The Burgers are incredible & he even makes his own BBQ sauce & it's fantastic! I don't even like BBQ sauce & I like his. Very tangy, kinda tropical YUM! :)' What I really love is the grilled fish of the day! Omg, super fresh fish right from the pacific ocean 200 yards away, to the BBQ, to your mouth! It's 2.die.4! I especially love the keg tooth fish, the sail fish & the mahi mahi. The rice & fresh veggies that comes with it is the best I have had in Port. Perfect every time & seasoned to perfection. It's not fancy, its more like homemade. Served on plastic tables & chairs in the sand right on the beach. Come in your swimsuit, no shit no shoes no problem. Wednesday's are horseshoe night. Not my thing but the Canadian men especially love this night. When there is live music/a band playing on the weekends it's always epic good vibes. It's kinda divey but they have the best live music on the beach & incredible fresh food. The drinks are strong & the service is great. Every day around sunset, the BBQ is smoking, the sun is setting over playa Principle's lighthouse & the sailboats that have anchored there for the night, right off the beach. They gently float in the surf where the surfers are getting in their last rides of the day. Just epic stunning views. If your looking to be wasting away again in Margarita-vile, searching for your lost shaker of salt, some people will claim that there's a woman to blame here, now I think, hell, it could be MY fault. LOL Cheers! Highly Highly Recommend :))

Unclear about nudity moving in/through the hotel, but no one minds you sitting on your patio in your birthday suit, if that's your vibe. The room is cleaned daily which feels great after all the sand you're gonna be trekking in. No TV (why, you won't miss it), generally spotty internet (as throughout the town), and a/c costs extra for the room (we made do without).
