The beach dogs were a highlight: friendly, chill, and so well-behaved that a few even napped at our feet during meals. Service at the restaurant was quick, and I ate there often -- the food was great and the Wi-Fi there worked well. I also felt really safe; there's someone stationed outside through the night. The rooms were comfortable, and the cleaning staff deserves special mention -- the woman who cleaned our room went above and beyond (she even organized my makeup one morning!). Everything was spotless, and the beds were super cozy. The main downside was the Wi-Fi in the rooms -- it barely worked, so I had to head down to the restaurant for a connection. We stayed in a suite, which looked a bit more spacious in the photos, so that was a small disappointment. There were also a few bugs and small critters (mosquitoes, crickets, lizards), but considering the off-grid, jungle-meets-beach vibe, it's understandable. Overall, it was a great stay -- beautiful setting, perfect location, and easy access to food, the beach, and town. Would definitely recommend for anyone who wants a laid-back, scenic Tulum experience.

We sat on the couches on the beach. Attention to detail, Delicious food, great service, beautiful atmosphere. Highly recommend for a romantic quick bite or dinner with friends. It is a stray from the bohemian character and culture of zipolite - while we enjoyed everything - I would suggest this place as an option but not a solution to all the other great small culturally significant locally owned and family driven restaurants in town. They are open later than 6pm- so that should be updated on Yelp.

If I were to return to Playa Zipolite (universe favoring) I would stay here again. No, not because…read morethe beds were good (they're what you'll find everywhere, (at this price point?)). But because the room is clean, the location can't be beat, and the staff absolutely wonderful* and LGBT friendly. Beach-front views on the quieter (unless it's Saturday night) side of the beach. Unclear about nudity moving in/through the hotel, but no one minds you sitting on your patio in your birthday suit, if that's your vibe. The room is cleaned daily which feels great after all the sand you're gonna be trekking in. No TV (why, you won't miss it), generally spotty internet (as throughout the town), and a/c costs extra for the room (we made do without). Water only has one temperature, but its generally hot enough that you won't mind. *I needed hi-speed reliable wi-fi in a beach town not renowned for its "connectedness". Ask the staff, and the owner himself comes up to install an add-on that can get me through my Zoom meeting. Easy-going but most helpful and welcoming, they made the stay.

The dish arrived with three full halves piled high, and absolutely delicious. It is worth returning for. Beer is not on the menu, so we had wine. On return visits found the juice excellent. I believe you can bring in beer from outside to go with your meal. Good friendly service and reasonable prices. WiFi seemed to work well.

Located along Playa Zipolite. It's ok! We dropped by for a drink before dinner. For a weekday…read moreevening, it was largely empty. We opted for beachfront seating. At high tide, the water occasionally comes up to your feet :3 Seating isn't the cleanest, there were cigarettes on the floor and the table had drink residue... Service was a also bit slow, first took a while to take our orders and even longer to deliver the orders. We were maybe one of three parties there... The drinks themselves were fine. Not terrible, but I think we've had better elsewhere.

I found out that they actually don't start serving pizza until the late afternoon. I've been craving a pizza for months, and the only good pizza that I've experienced so far was in the capital city. For lunch I selected the two tacos de res. The tacos were made to order and they were excellent. The best thing about this restaurant is the ocean view. The complete side facing the ocean is open to the beach. You get the breeze, ocean surf and sea salt smell, and adequate sun. The restaurant is protected from the sun and elements. I could literally sit here all day, however I didn't notice any receptacles to plug in and charge. I also don't know if they have WiFi here. There is an adjacent hotel that is part of the establishment which I'm sure is nice for the guests that stay here.
