Perfect for a quick and fresh meal. Space was clean, nicely decorated with appropriate music playing. Wanted a vegetarian poke bowl, but was told that wasn't an option. My boyfriend and I have been driving because we were heading to Florida and wanted to stop somewhere to eat. I must say, this was the best decision made today. This was such a good sushi spot. We were so satisfied with the service and the food. We ordered a miso soup (not pictured but was tasty), Fuji Mountain Roll, Fire Dragon Roll, Shrimp Tempura Roll with cream cheese and Spicy Salmon Roll. Although all of the rolls were so delicious, our favorite was the Fuji Mountain. It was full of flavors and something about the combination with the soybean wrap was so good! If you decide to eat here, you must get the Fuji Mountain! It has shrimp tempura, spicy kani, masago, avocado, and the best part, mango. The mango was such a good addition to the roll because it gives you sweetness when you bite into the roll. Soooo good! I am only giving them a 4 star because I don't think any restaurant should ever give their customers any dish ware that is chipped or broken because you never know what could happen (as pictured), but again, I was very pleased with our service because our server was always checking up on us, and she even asked us for to-go drinks! Stopped by on our way to Great Wolf Lodge. I thought the restaurant had pretty decent food and the price for the sushi was a good value. Although the sushi was a little small, it was only $6.25/roll, which isn't bad. I also tried the Sashimi Appetizer, Hibachi Chicken & Shrimp, and Hibachi Shrimp. All of them tasted good and the portions were decent. The waiter checked up on us a few times during the meal. However, the only issue we came across that kept this from a 4-star review was the end when we got the bill. After getting the bill, the waitress never came back. After a while, I finally had my son bring the check up to her. That was really the only problem we had during our visit. Otherwise, no complaints. read more

What a surprise to find great sushi in La Grange Georgia. Tucked away on a road filled with food choices, it's easy to miss, or dismiss as a place to stop. Sushi guys are always nice and accommodating when the waitress messes up our order and yells (literally yells) at us about how we are wrong and asks how we don't know what sushi we ordered. We used to go weekly and now refuse to go in. When they hire new staff members we will be back or we will only order to go. This particular event was 6 or more months ago - but when we went about 3 months ago she was still there. Got our order wrong, and talked to herself behind the counter about how I ordered wrong. Terrible, rude service from cooks. Ladies at front desk were kind - super sweet, good customer service. The cooks made it unbearable though. And, the food was just okay. All the places at which I wanted to eat had closed by the time I had left the Toyota dealer. I was glad they had closed for lunch because Sakura was a gem waiting to be found. The restaurant was spotlessly clean and the staff was extremely warm and welcoming even though I arrived about 10 minutes before closing time. My waitress, Katherin, was very personable and gladly answered the questions I asked. I got the Spicy Poke Bowl containing Tuna, Salmon, and Kani - each of which was spicey, seaweed salad, paper-thin sliced jalapenos, avocado, pineapple, spicy mayo, and mango mayo. The dish was unbelievably delicious. I have to drive an hour to get there and it is more than worth the drive. I will be going back regularly. Price-wise: $$, and worth every dime. read more

Mixed opinions on this, judged just on the food, I'd have given them a 4 or 5 star review. Best sushi I've had in LaGrange so far, the tuna and the hamachi appetizers were very good. Hamachi served with a jalapeno pepper slice and a dollop of sriracha on top of each slice of fish, in a nice sauce, was wonderful. What took this down was the server we had. Woman was overly familiar, kept sitting down next to my wife in the booth to chat with us, and in general didn't know what she was talking about. If you don't know, just say you don't know, don't make up BS that is obviously false. Then to top it all off when she brought our check she made sure to tell us three times that if we paid by credit card but left her tip in cash she wouldn't have to pay taxes on it! Yes, I do know that, but I don't need to be told by a waitress over and over. She got a mediocre tip out of me, on the card. Haven't been back since our first time, need to see if this woman is still working there or if it's safe to go back and have decent service. This restaurant was such a good choice for lunch. The service was fast and kind. The food was so fresh and very full of flavor. We ordered a spicy tuna roll for our appetizer. The best sushi I've had in a while. For our main dish we ordered a steak and fried rice. The steak was well seasoned and chopped to either eat by itself or mix it with the fried rice. The fried rice had fresh zucchini, broccoli, carrots and onions. Each bit was bursting with flavor and seasoned to perfection. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this restaurant.
