Individual beds separated by curtains but there are also individual rooms in the back. When I came here one day, I was the only one here. They didnt push upgrades on me. It's nothing fancy. The staff are incredibly welcoming and kind!!! They are incredibly skilled and the ambiance is clean and relaxing. They also have really low prices compared to other massage places and everything is included in the massage price. $50 for an hour so make sure to tip well! I recently went to Sakura for a full body massage. There was an overwhelming smell of not so good smelling food as soon as I walked in. I should've just turned around and walked out. When I got to the back room, the smell wasn't so bad, but an older woman did the massage and started using her bare hands against my skin, not using lotion or oil. It was very uncomfortable 15 minutes and I finally said I paid extra for oil. Are you going to use it, and then she did. She kept focusing on the back and I had to tell her please massage the legs the arms other parts. I came here years ago when this place first opened and it was awesome. No longer. Today, I had an 11:30 appointment, so I showed up about 11:15 and she was with a client. She was running late - no big deal to me - and by the time she finished it was close to 11:50. I had already decided on the 120-minute treatment which I usually picked, but she argued it was too long, so I settled for the 90-minute instead. But she insisted 2 hands treatment 2ppl which I don't prefer. She mentioned that she had a 1:00 appointment, which was why she called Sunny, the owner, to let her know the problem. In my opinion, she was too busy to be able to accommodate me properly. We went back and forth on the type of treatment, so I just decided to leave - appalling customer service. read more

Once I arrived, two workers seem to have a little disagreement over my appt, I was requested to pay up front, then was quickly shoved into a room. I paid for deep tissue, but was given hot stones instead. I was charged $1 per minute and my masseuse left three times to attend the front desk. I checked in at 3:25 and my massage was over my 4:18 Plus I was charged a $2 debit card fee so it just seemed silly. Will not be returning. Kinda disappointed that I even left a tip. read more

After not having a massage for 3+ months due to Covid-19, it was finally time to get a massage to work out all the kinks that my back has accumulated. Came in one weekday evening, and they were busy as each massouse was working on a client. They have a board above the table with their pricing. I chose the 90 minute massage which was 60 minutes back and 30 min feet and it came out to $60. Odd thing is they ask you to pay before the massage, and they prefer cash, because by using your credit card they charge an additional dollar. And tip (which you make afterwards) is cash only. The massage room was nice and dark. Well ventilated and cool to the feel. As of right now they ask you to wear your mask while lying face down on the table. And you know, if you've ever been on one of those tables, its already hard to breathe with your face on that pillow, but to have a mask on too. Breathing did become laborious. It was extremely difficult. Couple times I thought I was about to black out. It was so bad that at one point I wished the massage was already over, and that is not very conducive to being calm. The actual massage was great. She really worked out many of my kinks to my back. And i felt so much better afterwards, or was it because my brain was finally getting much needed oxygen? Who knows. But the oddest thing I noticed about this place, is that they are the only one I know of who does the foot massage while you're still lying down on the table. They have you bend your feet, and they put the large tub of hot water at the base of the table and put your feet in it. It was quite weird, since the bucket was digging into my kneecaps, and my feet wanted to go forward being in a lying down position, so it was butting up against the wall of the bucket. It was just not comfortable. I know there are places that are cheaper for a 90 minute massage. But considering I hadn't had one in over 3 months, it was much appreaciated. I dont know if I'll do the foot massage again, since I've always had it done sitting up, and prefer it that way next time as well. Breathing was super difficult. But hey I understand, no one wants the corona. So can't hold that against them. read more

I went in for my usual visit yesterday and asked Yoyo to pay a little extra attention to my right upper arm, the deltoid specifically. The massage was as good and deep as ever. Yoyo knows me well yet will always ask if the pressure is too hard or the stones too hot. So never any complaints about her care and skills. What I'm writing about today is my right arm. She massaged it, and then she stretched it. She used different stretches and pulled and really dug in with her incredible strength. Always asking if it hurt and if I was okay. I let her do what she does best and folks I'll tell you, Yoyo is a miracle worker. I have less pain and a lot more range of motion today. Thank you Yoyo. Just okay - prices are very reasonable. I went out of convenience since it was right next to another business I had an appt at. I probably wouldn't return, but it wasn't terrible. I was charged up front before services were rendered + $2 extra for using my card. (Most people don't know you can refuse this as it's not the consumer's responsibility to pay for card services)...anyhow, the convenience of using my card went away with the fact that I was forced to give a tip BEFORE services were even render. What if the massage was absolutely terrible or what if it was beyond superior? How do I know what the appropriate amount to tip is if I pay beforehand? OMG!! Alina is a God-send!! I went in for a deep-tissue combo and came out a new person. I had major back surgery as a child (scoliosis surgery-fused spine) and in my older age live with chronic pain. My left side is always worse than my right and I am sometimes limited to certain activities because of this. I have had plenty of other massages but knew I just needed to find someone to really just use elbows and knuckles. Every other place will throw in an elbow here and there and then back to the shiatsu style- which does nothing for me. Alina went full force elbows and knuckles on my entire back. She also pulled out the cupping tools when I asked her, which just topped off an already incredible massage. I have not had this much "natural" pain relief in I don't know how long! It's been 3 days and I have not had ANY pain, been able to walk my dog the full mile without any pain, and have not had to take any pain medication for relief. For someone with daily/chronic pain, 3 days, going on 4, is rare. I am absolutely looking forward to my next massage with her. read more

Came in for an anniversary couples massage with my husband, 1st complaint, they did not honor their Yelp advertisement stating you get free essential oils if you mention their Yelp. They spoke to one another and turned to me to say "oh that was from last year, we have changed our prices" so I was already bummed that they weren't going to honor what they CLEARLY have on Yelp. 2nd complaint- we paid for a couples massage with hot oil, hot stones, and private room. We didn't start getting oil until about half way through our massage. Then, NEVER GOT OUR HOT STONES. I mentioned to the woman at the counter, and she started to laugh and the two masseuses began to laugh and say "oh you never asked for it!" I replied with " but that's what we paid for" to which their response was to laugh some more to make it more of a joke, and said "it's because a lot of people don't like it" didn't try to make it right, didn't offer to dock my massage the next time but NOW offered to give me a free essentials oil massage the NEXT time.. not only was my massage painful because the masseuse kept digging their elbows into my back, but now expect me to come and spend another $120? definitely not. read more

I am recently on the market for a new masseuse because my favorite place closed and unfortunately, my search must continue. Don't get me wrong, this place is not bad at all. It's just not the kind of deep tissue massage I was looking for. I got a 60-minute full-body deep tissue massage with Michael for $40 cash ($1 extra charge if you pay with card). He was really nice and even threw in the hot stones (which is usually $10 extra) for free. I also really liked how he placed multiple layers of sheets on me during the massage for modesty and how they wiped off the massage oil afterwards, not every place does that. This is the 4th massage place I've tried in the area (all Asian owned) and Michael was the only one who didn't do that weird finger squeezing/pulling, knuckle cracking thing when massaging my hands - thank goodness, because I always hated that and had to stop them. If I were a normal customer, I would have left very happy but because I have to get regular massages (otherwise I'd get really bad muscle spasms in my neck and back), I didn't feel like the massage was thorough enough. Usually they lift your arms and move them to get in between your shoulder blades, which are my trouble spots, but Michael didn't do that. He also completely skipped my deltoids. Usually when a masseuse is really good you can feel them search for, then slowly massage into your knots. You should feel them pressing against each individual knot, but I felt like the massage I got was more shallow and not very "deep". All in all, this place isn't bad if you're looking for a relaxing and fun activity to do. I wouldn't recommend it for people with chronic pain or who are looking for a deep tissue/sports massage. read more

I called to see if they'd accept walk-ins. A lady answered and said I could come now. Upon arrival a man asked me a lot of questions, he seemed to be uncomfortable. He then called someone and spoke aggressively to her in their language. I asked if there was a problem. A women walked up and he finally let me in, about 5-7 mins later. He then upsold me on 90 mins. I had no problem with that. When he saw that I had no problem with money. He soften a little. He took me to the room and asked me to undress. I asked for the lady I spoke to on the phone. He says I'm only available. It was the worst, careless massage I ever had! I paid for 90 mins, it was more like 60 mins, to top it off he missed a lot of areas that are usually covered, face, head, arms, & thighs. He racially profiled me from the start, gave a effortless massage and then solicited me for a tip! People of color stay away. They don't want our business. I've been a dedicated and loyal customer for just over three years. I am so happy I found Sakura Spa. The ladies are very thorough and have excellent attention to detail. Yoyo is my favorite; she knows me and is familiar with my chronic back pain. I still hit the gym and sometimes overdo it there or around my yard. All I have to do is let Yoyo know what ails me and she'll focus some attention on those sore muscles. She always asks if I'm okay and not in pain. Keep in mind when you rub sore muscles it's gonna hurt a little. Tolerate what you can and get through it, drink plenty of water and in a day our two you'll be like "what pain?"
