Another of my local favorites - has been take-out only since the Covid lockdown of 2020, but remains primo faire! My go-to is a variation of the Hibachi selections - Beef/Chicken/Shrimp (or all 3). Proteins are always cooked to my liking & never dry, Veggies are crisp & tasty, Rice is goooood. I was worried that they might make it thru the pandemic, but the place is always hoppin' with take-out pickups whenever I stop in. Would like to see dine-in return, but I can wait. Enclosed picture is the 'Hibachi Triple' with all 3 meats - good eats! read more

Fast service and easy order pickup options. Enjoyed the hibachi combination platters and sushi.

Good, fast service happened at this easy access location on the Pike in a small strip mall near a Dollar General store. Ordering at the counter is simple and efficient. There are sufficient tables for eating inside. This establishment is inexpensive for the amount of food provided. Cheaper cost than others with same or similar menu. That's because it's casual. The shrimp in my hibachi entree were very large! For less than $10, you get a fulfilling meal. My fellow diner and I enjoyed our meals. read more

Sakura Hibachi Express - Jumbo shrimp hibachi! - Japanese Near Me - Carlisle, Pennsylvania

Soooo much sushi to choose from plus a wide variety of other dishes. Freshly made, but worth the wait.

Sakura really hit the spot. Given the fact that my favorite Chinese restaurant in Carlisle is in the same strip plaza, I was stepping out on a limb, taking a chance, rolling the nice, and testing Lady Luck when I ventured into Sakura. However, tempting fate did not lead me astray. Sakura was a pleasant surprise. The hibachi chicken was well seasoned, and topped off nicely (by me) with some yum yum sauce. The teriyaki chicken was good as well. I continued to be amazed at how little ole Carlisle can have so many rating establishments, many of which are above average to good. Before long, we will be the foodie capital of the world. Well at least the US. Ok, maybe Pennsylvania. No? Central PA? You have to give me that one! The foodie capital of Central PA it is!!! Hat tip and drum roll please... read more

Still my favorite Hibachi spot in Pennsylvania, the white rice, fried rice, mixed vegetables with onions and shrimp be so good and fresh every time and the employees are very polite and professional I definitely recommend this place to anyone in the area. read more

Very clean; hot and fresh food that tastes great. Wonderful, healthy choice if looking for a counter-service stop! Loved the steak and scallops! The rice and tempura vegetables rounded-out a nice and delicious meal. read more

This place is not an express version of the Sakura down the road. This is Hibachi with out all of the show at a third of the price. Their lunch Bento Box is filling, healthy, and less money then a drive through burger in a bag meal. As for the dinners, you cannot go wrong with the teriyaki chicken; a large serving of brown rice, grilled chicken, and a healthy portion of hibachi vegetables. I would give this place five stars but their sushi menu is lacking and the place has lost its initial shine do to the Covid carry out requirements. If you want a good healthy meal, this is the place. read more

First starting this off is it isn't bad. BUT not that good either. 1) the shrimp have the tails on them? It's a pain to eat shrimp covered in sauce and have to bite the tails off. 2) they call it fried rice but it's not fried, it's brown rice 3) the steak tastes like venison. I like venison but not what I was expecting. 4) I got shrimp, and steak $10.29 and side of shrimp $4.99. Luckily i did, two scoops of brown rice, decent amount of vegetables, but very little meat. The side of shrimp is 4 shrimp?!? 5) they give you a squirt bottle of the yum yum sauce which is nice, you can drown your disappointment in yum yum sauce. But makes it even more challenging to get the tails off the shrimp! Overall not bad, but nothing to write home about either. read more

This place is literally next door and I wish I would have come here sooner! This place is fast, convenient and very tasty! Every you want in a neighborhood restaurant. Their selection is pretty extensive, focusing on a lot of hibachi and tempura dishes. We loved the food we had here despite use being somewhat picky eaters (Paleo/Vegetarian). Their offerings were healthy portions of good food...couldnt ask for more! read more

This time I order the Terayaki shrimp & chicken and just like last time it was delicious, very friedly staff and fast service, I will definitely come back if I'm ever around here again. The restaurant itself is located on a tiny but clean plaza on the main road with easy access. read more

I was in town for a few days and decided to come here for dinner since it had some decent yelp reviews. i ordered the eel roll and the steak with shrimp hibachi. the eel roll was decent since i'm from a big city and a lot of great sushi places are abundant but the eel roll was decent. the hibachi on the other hand was cooked perfectly. i definitely would suggest coming here specifically for that. read more

Their Hibachi Grill menu is off the CHAIN! I got the combo with chicken steak and shrimp.. wow! I can easily say that menu on the list of meals I could eat every day for the rest of my life. With that said, I am a bit of a sushi snob. I am from the West Coast where we have several very good sushi restaurants. This place is not among them. read more

This place is truly express, which was perfect for us as we were traveling back home out of state. Appears to be more for take out if you are local. Place was very clean and food came out quickly. They had high chairs for the kids but no baby changing table. Food was delicious. I was very pleased with the speed and flavor. It was a nice change from stopping off at rest stops and eating fast food. read more

The food is real good. Came here yesterday and was happy so I came back today. The manager is very friendly. He came to my table while I was eatting and ask me was everything ok. of course it was. read more

Love Sakura for take out! Fast, friendly and delicious. We usually go with the hibachi and always get a side of harumaki. Prices are on point as well. read more

I have past this place many times and last week I finally stopped for some take out and I am glad I did.. what a nice surprise. We ordered salmon teriyaki and chicken teriyaki meals with miso soup. The soup was very tasty, the chicken was a little on dry side but the salmon was excellent. The brown rice and yum yum sauce was very good. Looking forward to trying other items on their menu. read more

Simply amazing every time I visit. Sushi is the best in the area and outshines chens and mt.fugi. Do yourself a favor and just eat here! You'll thank me. read more

Great customer service from gentleman working counter. California roll doesn't have cream cheese on it here, however they did add at my request. Wish they rolled sushi rolls slightly tighter. Falls apart fairly easily. read more

Second visit. Tremendous. Sushi was fresh and extremely well priced. If you want sushi in Carlisle this is where you should go. Also added fried calamari and fried oysters. The oysters were the best I've ever had. The crunchy coating was so light and the oysters plump and moist. read more

I found the hibachi chicken/steak to be pretty plain. Fresh/quality veggies and meat but plain - same with the fried rice. The pork gyoza doesn't compare to the Mt. On Hanover street either. Pretty dry / pan fried to death. Service was friendly/fast! read more

Ok place to grab something quick and edible. The sushi is tasty and food is made fresh to order.

This place is amazing-it's cheap, fast, and clean. The food is super good-I recommend getting the chicken teryaki or hibachi. I personally like their bowls better than their sushi, but they are both great. I wouldn't go there just for sushi (I'm from a big city where we have better sushi), but for hibachi in Carlisle they can't be beat! For carry out, it's my number one place in Carlisle. They are super fast, always give you the 'yum yum' sauce, and it's easy to check in and check out. The staff is super friendly. This is a great place for lunch and dinner. I can't recommend it enough. read more

I passed through the area about 9 on a Sunday night with a group of friends. The staff were welcoming and prepared our food quickly. The restaurant is clean and very casual. The food is well priced (fairly cheap actually) and tastes great. I had the hibachi jumbo shrimp and it was good! Others who ordered sushi also enjoyed their meals! read more

Easily one of my favorite restaurants. The delivery people are friendly, and I've also eaten in the restaurant, and the manager is very nice, and the restaurant itself very clean. The food is outstanding !!! Favorite meal: Steak Hibachi... Reasonably priced as well. read more

Good food, good prices. Very happy we found this place. We drive long haul and our terminal is right up the road. Will be ordering when we are in town again. read more

Sushi was priced high and the worst I have had in the area. Rolls were small and nearly inedible. Several other people in the restaurant ordered hibachi and it looked good. I get this place is an express but a real bowl for the miso soup is a must. I like the Sakura in Mechanicsburg but I would avoid this location. read more

Food was fantastic. steak was tender and the portions are perfect. Customer service and prices were great as well.

It's clean, fresh, fast and friendly. It's truly fast food. You order at the counter and your food is brought to your table on styrofoam plates. I only had the chance to try a couple sushi rolls, but wasn't impressed. The fish was fresh, the rolls still left much to be desired. A read more

Portion value not there. Need more for the money. Otherwise the service was average. The store is very clean.

Very bad. I have been to other chains of this and this is the worst I have experienced. Food is tasteless and harder than it should be. Stay away! read more

This has become my daughters latest obsession! She loves the rice and chicken bowl. The food is cooked fresh every time and the staff is very friendly. The place is very clean as well. Great place to stop for lunch as we do very often! read more

Food was fresh, light, yummy. Cashier was friendly. If you eat in the restaurant, though, you will get your food on a flimsy styrofoam plate with small, cheap plastic utensils. For the price we would expect better. Not so great for the environment either. The room has super bright lighting and is absolutely devoid of any decoration or charm. Our recommendation is definitely TAKE-OUT only! read more
