Hot Green Tea - A ceramic teapot with a green bamboo design and a matching lid is positioned next to a patterned cup filled with green tea. The items are on a white napkin on a wooden table. In the background, a person's arm, a black and red bowl with a white spoon, and some papers are visible, indicating a dining setting at a Japanese restaurant.

While passing through Jackson, MS my husband and I decided to stop for lunch. We were intending on going to a nearby Thai restaurant but I turned into the wrong strip mall complex. However, we found Sakura Bana here, and it had good reviews, so we gave it a go. My hot green tea came in a huge pot! Thankfully my husband likes it too and helped me drink it. He got the Sushi Lunch special with miso soup and really enjoyed it. I tried his soup and thought it was good. My side salad was just okay. The dressing tasted more like mayonnaise to me than anything else - not gingery, and very thick. My vegetarian sushi rolls, however, were delicious! The Asparagus Roll featured asparagus and almond clusters - what!? Yum! Just Yum! It came with a Japanese (wasabi) mayonnaise, which is not my taste, but my husband liked it. The Three Bean Roll had green bean tempura, soybeans, avocado, cucumber, and green leaf lettuce in a soy wrap, and that was also really nice. Our service was good. The restaurant was nice and clean. The prices are reasonable. And it seemed like a popular place based on the dine-in and carryout business we saw. We can understand why.

Five Star sushi roll. No Rice Deep fried white and red tuna, fresh salmon, crab, yellowtail, dynamite, and special sauce on the side. - A black rectangular tray holds several sushi rolls filled with seafood, cream cheese, and wrapped in seaweed, garnished with lettuce leaves. Two small bowls contain soy sauce with chopped green onions and sesame seeds, and a separate dish has soy sauce with wasabi and pickled ginger. The setting appears to be a Japanese restaurant with a wooden table surface.

Limited seating but great variety on menu. Wonderful staff. Enjoyed everything we ordered. Will definitely return to enjoy.

a plate of sushi rolls with jalapenos - A black rectangular plate holds several sushi rolls topped with sliced green jalapeños, arranged in a line. The sushi appears to have rice and possibly fish or other fillings inside. At the top of the plate, there are two gunkan-maki sushi pieces topped with bright orange fish roe. The plate is placed on a wooden table, and part of a person's leg and clothing are visible on the left side of the image.

Best sushi In Jackson by far. Always busy when I Tobin. Reasonably priced. Fresh. Traditional, but not stuffy for special request. Thank God for this place in Jackson, MS.

How did I not know about this modest lil sushi expert?? My friends picked Sukura Bana , since it's their favorite sushi in Jackson Metro. I couldn't agree more! Check the board on the right of the room for their most popular rolls. If you click on the roll name on the virtual menu, it shows you a picture. This feature was very helpful when choosing from their thick selection.

    So yummy seafood sukiyaki

By far the best sushi in the Jackson metro area. Service and ambiance are also good. Lowkey and under the radar spot
