I found this place last Dec 2024, a few months ago. Work has sent me back to this city and I had to go back. When I walked in tonight, the hostess, co-owner of Little Tokyo smiled and said "welcome back". It was great to be remembered. The last time I was here, Stephanie was my waitress but she has moved now. That's okay, I met the young, energetic Madeline. She always checked on me even during her busy night with a wonderful smile and gotta luv her accent. I started with a refreshing Passion Fruit Martini. Then to my rolls: Viking & Caterpillar rolls. Finished off with the "Samarai roll" which has no rice. It was all yummy. Loved the food, service was excellent and gotta luv the atmosphere with nice music too. read more

Food was good, sushi was great, but our service was the best! I believe our waitresses name was Amber, and she was seriously top-notch and beyond accommodating and so helpful! Clean restaurant it had a nice vibe to it! read more

did not have hibachi so no comment but did enjoy the fried wontons and two sushi rolls. the new orleans roll and the shaggy dog roll. both were excellent, and all dishes tasted extremely fresh. they offer indoor and outdoor seating areas as well as bar seating creating a comfortable setting. service is spot on! friendly and informative if you have any questions abt the menu . great location , fast service and great food! read more

We've come here many times, food is always amazing; good, quality sushi in particular. Tonight was a treat because we had a delightful service experience. Eric was exceptional. We ordered copious amounts of food and beverages, and he was so attentive! The cherry on top was his personality. He spent time chatting with us, even though I'm sure he had plenty to do. It was the best experience we've had by far. He is an asset to the business, and I look forward to requesting him next time. Big thanks to everyone involved! read more

Had to handle some business in Fondren so I stopped by Little Tokyo for some sushi and fried rice. Pictured is the rock and roll sushi roll. It was good. Tasted fresh. Fried rice was just ok. Would have been better if it was hotter. Service is good. Seated quickly and my server greeted me even sooner. I also love the decor inside. Causal with a little upscale feeling to it. Great ambiance, attentive service and delicious food! I came on my own for a quick lunch and was pleasantly surprised. It does feel like an upscale sushi bar, but affordable and approachable. Being from out of town I had to try the Mississippi roll, and I love seaweed salad so got that as well. Both great, and presented beautifully! read more

We have ordered via Uber Eats a few times and finally sat down in the restaurant last weekend. It's official, they are legit! Food is consistent and the portions are large. Their hibachi is SO good and flavorful. I've had the steak and chicken, as well as the filet and scallops. ALL of it was fantastic. Service was good, store was nice and chill. No complaints whatsoever. My son tried the ramen, he liked it but he didn't rave about it. Only gripe was no grill, hibachi is cooked in the back. For last weekend it didn't matter but for a celebration we'll have to go to the other location. Not enough of a gripe to take off a star but it's worth noting. Bonus...they have yum yum sauce! Might seem obvious but the teppanyaki places in Phoenix usually didn't. I've also lived in AZ, TX and VA (DMV) area. This place is ranked high on our favorite hibachi list. Definitely recommend! Doesn't hurt that they are two stores down from Campbell's Bakery. read more

The sushi and sashimi is always very fresh. Always have to decide between sushi and hibachi both are very good. I wish they had more selections for sushi and sashimi. Ikara would be great. Service is good, they are training new staff right now. It is a go to place in Brookhaven. read more

Went to dinner last night at the Fondren location of Little Tokyo with 12 people. While several of our parties dishes took most of the time we were there to come to the table, my biggest issue was with white male waiter that was serving us. My husband ordered a $30 entree, and I asked for a kids Obento box because I don't eat much due to health stuff. The waiter then said very aggressively that if he let me order that he "would lose his job." I explained to him that there were 4 children at the table as well. He said that the manager would look at our ticket and fire him if he let me order it. I instead opted not to order anything because it wouldn't have been worth it to me because of how I eat. I've been a customer of the Ridgeland location since they opened and the service in Fondren just absolutely sucks comparatively. I left dinner last night just generally not wanting to go there ever again. read more

I am a regular at the original Little Tokyo at the original location. The service was great and the waiter was also amazing. I went there for hibitichi and ordered the same thing I ordered at the other location. To my surprise the food was totally different. If you are a fan of the Ridgeland location then i recommend you continue to go there. read more
