How is it possible that Akron, Ohio has such a great sushi spot? Crazy, but it's true. I have been dining here since 2003 and I have never had a bad meal! The service is always great. The sushi chefs are working nonstop, but are also friendly. It is usually pretty lively in the restaurant and can be loud at times. It's never been a bother, however. I really like to sit at the sushi bar and watch the chefs at work. The fish is always fresh and better than any other place around. Also, if you are not a fan of sushi and you end up here, you can always order from the ramen menu next-door!

Finding good Asian food in Ohio, especially Akron Ohio, is no easy feat. Although not the worst experience I've had, the food was average to me. I do not love how many restaurants do not use lunch menus on Sundays - this is one of them. Ordered tonkatsu as recommended which came with miso soup. Service was fast.

Loved this place, the service was VERY fast even though it was busy, the martini was great, and really creative sushi. Mine was definitely top 3 I've ever had. Fair pricing too. Amazing!

I don't come very often, due to distance, but this is my favorite place to get sushi. When I went to California on vacation I expected the sushi to be better at the coast - but I still like this place in Ohio more! Prices seem good too. It is dark low-light ambience but that just makes it more special. A large menu item of good bento and more than just sushi. I brought someone from Japan here once and he said while it may not be 100% authentic, he agreed it was good!

Sakura is by far, my favorite sushi spot in the area. It is not fishy and they have a wide selection of options to choose from. I always get the Angel Roll with the spicy Crab on the side, and it never disappoints.

Shabby looking parking lot, but overlooked it because of the Yelp reviews. The hostess was very friendly & I sat myself at the high top bar on the left of the sushi bar. I asked my very friendly server, Tiffany, about one of the Specialty Drinks, the Wasabi Ginger Martini ($10). She said it was her favorite so I ordered it & it was refreshing w/ only a hint of Wasabi. No lunch specials on Sundays or I would have ordered the Chirashi which was a great deal. The lunch special had 10 pieces for $13.95 & dinner entree had 15 for $18.95, including Miso Soup & salad. Too much food for me so I ordered the Salmon Avocado Roll ($6.25) & Pepper Tuna ($9.25) w/ no smelt & extra ginger, but they charged me $0.50 for extra wasabi. I also ordered a Perrier Water which was $3.25, basically half of a roll. I was going to get a hot green tea, but they didn't have Splenda. Not a problem, but it got pretty pricey in a miscellaneous way. Overall, the food, service & ambience were outstanding. It was $31.23 + $6 tip for one person so if you're on a budget, come on the weekdays for lunch. As I said, the lunch specials look fantastic & half the price. I am on vacation & in Vegas, these prices would be normal to me. Also they have a large Specialty drink list & full bar. Special entrees on a chalkboard, which I wish I saw before I ordered, but next time. I do highly recommend this sushi spot & will be back.

Had a great time eating here! Sushi was very fresh and there were unique items on the menu. Our server was very attentive. We were checked on frequently, and waters and teas were refilled frequently without having to ask. Enjoyed the spicy crab salad! The crab, shrimp and octopus was on a bed of fresh cucumbers. Yummy! Ate Box B for my entree. Super good! The sushi, California roll and sashimi was very tender. Tasted super fresh too! The presentation seemed to be important here too. The hostess thanked us as we were leaving the restaurant.

If you want quality sushi for the price, this is probably the place you should consider checking out. Attentive servers with cozy atmosphere. Price is also very reasonable. They also have lunch special for even more affordable price. I recommend you to consider checking this place out if you are nearby!

I treated my friends who tried sushi for the first time. Sushi tasted too good. Service could be faster and more attentive.

I'm picky about sushi in that I don't love raw fish, but there are plently of tempura options here. Our server was friendly and attentive. I am only giving a 3 star for the state of the restrooms. We were so thirsty I had to get up and look for a fountain myself. * After 55 minutes she finally brought one round of refills, then disappeared again. * Dirty plates and trash sat in front of us the entire meal. Even after asking her directly to clear the table, she never did. * She even grabbed menus out of our hands with an annoyed expression and barely spoke to us. Food was fine, but the service was so bad it felt almost hostile. Worst dining experience, and it completely ruined my young son's birthday lunch "again". We told our server, female name starts with G. that we were celebrating his birthday and that the restaurant usually does something small--she acknowledged it, then nothing happened. I shouldn't even have paided gratuity, but I did.

Last time, my sister and I split the edamame which was really good (it's probably hard to mess up edamame). The pineapple fried rice (which is what I usually get) is fantastic, and so is the Thai basil fried rice. My mom loves the basil duck dish and goes here specifically for that. There is a good atmosphere in the restaurant that is welcoming to sitting and chatting and not just wanting to get takeout. Cilantro Thai is also close to Chill (good ice cream spot) so getting dessert is easy.

And the menu was clearly marked for all allergies. I really appreciate when restaurants don't make me beg to keep myself safe. My mom really likes spice. And she doesn't like to be second-guess about whether she can handle it. When she asked for a level of spice that seemed kind of high no one questioned her. When she got her food, even the highest level spice was still not high enough when she asked if she could have a few more spices, our waitress brought over a spice station. She LOVED that. We had a really good time. And just in case you're worried about parking it's free after 6 PM on the street.

The interior is sparse and I saw some dirty tables while I waited. I liked the look of some of the boba teas I saw other customers get, but I was too cheap to buy one for myself. I was (and always am) craving a poke bowl so I ordered a grilled chicken poke bowl with edamame, sweet potatoes, seaweed salad, kimchi, and ginger dressing and waited about 15 loooooong minutes for it to be ready. Imho, I think my chicken poke bowl was overpriced at $14 even though I chose the cheapest protein options and stuck to only 4 add-ons as I didn't want to pay another $0.75 for each additional topping. I think the rest of the menu is also overpriced as well. I did like my bowl in the end though and found it all pretty tasty. I have has better poke bowl experiences before and know of quite a few other places that are much more generous. But I had a craving and was in the area. I just wish I could have gotten tuna or salmon as my protein without having to pay 2 or 3 more dollars on top of it. And why did it take so long to make?? I dunno, I think I'm just being impatient because I was running late to work lol.

The staff was friendly, and I was greeted by Jason, the owner, a nice personal touch. This location is fairly new, right on Portage Trail in Cuyahoga Falls. Great food, clean atmosphere, and a team that clearly cares.
