After the visit and follow-up, we were billed $602.49, and I still have not received a clear explanation for why a scheduled wellness visit was billed/processed in a way that left us with significant deductible charges instead of being covered by insurance. They do not let you call the billing department, so I first emailed billing about the issue on April 22. After no response, I followed up on May 1. After still not receiving an answer, I emailed again on May 12 just asking them to acknowledge they were receiving my emails. They finally responded on May 13, saying the issue had been sent to upper management and resubmitted to insurance. I had to follow up again on June 2 before receiving another brief response. At no point did I receive a clear itemized explanation or a direct answer to my main question: why was a pre-scheduled 4-year wellness visit not billed as a preventive wellness visit? At this point, I am out this money unless I pursue formal legal options to recover it. And now I need to find a new pediatrician as I would be stupid to work with this people again.

He was telling corny jokes, and was super personable to my son, who is exceptionally anxious about doctor's appointments. He answered all of my questions, and the the support staff was amazing as well. I feel like we have made a solid choice in choosing this facility, and I know better than to read Yelp! reviews and take them too much to heart. My fiance is a chef and runs a restaurant...these things are not always the most honest ways to find out information. I say, make your own decisions and base your opinions off from those.
