We aren't members of this parish, but members of our parish regularly attend and have recommended this church's fish fry. So just as a warning: this is solely a review of the fish fry!
The food at the fish fry is very tasty. The fish tastes really fresh and the coating is nice and crisp. The accompanying tartar sauce is good but a little malt vinegar would be nice (though I suspect the Wisconsinites like to make sure that they draw the line between fish fry and fish and chips). The sides are really great, too. They include fresh baked bread, crispy french fries, baked potatoes, an oil-based coleslaw (which we prefer over a milky based one), and a vegetable. Dessert consists of a slice of some kind of cake, which is usually okay, not the highlight of our dinner.
The wait can be long, but it is worth the price! The "wait staff" consists of mostly high school students who are nice but sometimes are inattentive. It is all-you-can-eat, and they don't hesitate at giving you more of anything, whether it is simply bread or even multiple platters of fish! read more
