A friend finally got me outside to party cause I love being on the couch with a good movie and takeout if I'm not going out to eat. Lol I was slightly deceived by photos as I assumed this space was larger, but it was cool. Felt like a spot I would have thoroughly enjoyed during undergrad, but was still enjoyable for the evening we wanted as the DJ played a lot of 90s R&B, 90s/00s hip hop and reggae... Be strategic about your spot at the bar cause I waited a while for drinks even when some people walked up after me just because of proximity/location. But I got to dance a little, and enjoy a night with friends, so wasn't too bad.

Perfect whole in the wall. The drinks are strong and the music is always good. I love it here. I come here all the time and I bring all my friends. The bar tender Ben is cool and the security outside always checks bags and ID! It is very tight in here, very small dance floor. This is a whole in the wall. The vibe is very casual. Thursday-Saturday are all great days to go.

This quirky bar with its fun decor, colors and lights is the best of both worlds. Come here during the earlier hours it's a Quiet, and laidback dive bar. You can always get a seat at the bar and service is quick. Drinks are prices pretty much the same as other bars in the area. Perfect for starting the night off in Fishtown. Later, after you've circled through the other bars in the area, come back here to find the the music gets louder and the place gets filled up. Despite the small siz Everyone Come here to dance for hours and listen to great music. Plus there's no cover for ladies! And don't forget to stop by around the corner outside. They have a take out window! Pick up some great tasting tacos to get you though the night. Parking here is also pretty easy.

I'm giving this bar a 2 star rating because I got immensely sick after one ONE DRINK here. I came here hoping to love it. It seemed a bit mysterious and quirky. Not a ton of info about it online. Upon entering I was digging it. Interestingly decorated. They have fish bowl drinks. Bartenders were friendly enough. But then I had one drink and though I felt fine at the time, about 20 minutes later was sick as a dog. Like maybe the sickest I've ever been from drinking...except I only had the one drink. I ended up having to ditch my plans for the rest of the night and go home. Not sure if my drink was drugged, or this drink was just INSANELY strong or what, but I am hesitant to ever go back.

Checked this spot out on a Thursday night. Wasn't too pack. The music was super lit. The dj played music from the 9-9 to the 2000's y'eard lol. Real chill spot. Henny shots were $10 and the food items were super cheap. Didn't spend too much. Free parking is available across the street in a lot. You just have to grab a parking pass from the body guard. Bar tenders were real cool as well. It's a nice decent spot. I will be going back soon. Ig: egotistical_sshole Ig: AyyeDP

I visited for lunch during Restaurant Week, which I enjoyed because of its close proximity to the corporate hub in Center City where I work and for its solid menu. I was seated quickly at a high-top for my noon reservation. The restaurant is much larger inside than it looks, split in half with the left providing an upscale bar aesthetic while the right presents a quieter, modern lounge feel. (It seemed like service staff was directing those with previously-booked OpenTable RSVPs to the lounge side.) Service was great, as my waitress continuously checked in during my meal even as more customers arrived throughout the lunch period. I appreciated being offered to add fries on my burger order, as Village Whiskey didn't have it automatically added on the RW menu. The only drawback was she forgot to ask how I wanted my burger cooked, but it came out medium rare which is the way I eat it regardless. I trust that's how they default, which is a good sign. The Food Breakdown: Deviled Eggs (4/5) - Classic, solid, and a good starter. I honestly selected it since the other appetizer options didn't really appeal to me, but nothing spectacular or negative about it. Four comes with each order. All-American Burger (5/5) - Fantastic. I'm not a pickle enjoyer, but the acidity just blended into each juicy bite. The jam had a slight kick, and you can taste the fattiness within the double Wagyu smash patties. High-quality all around and a solid portion size. Duck Fat Fries (4/5) - They were well-seasoned, and each order comes with a small side of ketchup. Granted I didn't ask, but I almost wish they offered a spicy mayo instead because it would complement the crunchiness better. Overall, the food quality and taste were superb. My only caveat was the price, knowing that $35 after tax and gratuity for lunch (without an additional drink) is costly. I wouldn't be able to come everyday, but it certainly has my vote for sharing with others the destination that has an immaculate burger.

Our serve apologized profusely and they gave us a sweet treat on the house at the end of our meal. I ordered the frittata which was delicious and my husband to the omelette . We also got the drop biscuits with strawberry rhubarb jam and omg am good! Our brunch was great and the interior was modern but felt homey and we had the best service and the manager also came to see things were going. On a whim, I called Butcher Bar and told them I know it's last minute on a Saturday night, but could they accommodate 9 people. They told me if we were there in 30 minutes they could make it work, so we rushed over. We sat at the bar for drinks as they cleaned up a table. They overheard us talking about how The Trough would be nice (feeds 8 for $300, but was more than enough for us 9), and said if we wanted that they could get it started as the table was prepared. We said yes, and were sat a few minutes later with drinks in hand. Jenna (Gema? She had grape earrings) was a fantastic server and just so kind and attentive. She kept the drinks flowing and The Trough arrived sooner than I expected and was everything I wanted for dinner and more. I can't thank Butcher Bar enough for saving the night for my 40th and just providing a fantastic experience. We'll be back, and we promise to give more notice next time! :)
