I am writing to formally express my disappointment regarding the extremely unprofessional experience I had at your salon.
From the beginning of my appointment, the stylist was rude, dismissive, and did not listen to my concerns or requests regarding my hair. I specifically discussed how I wanted my blonde pieces blended and thoroughly colored, yet the color application was uneven and patchy. She didn't have any color left in the bowl for the last piece of hair and attempted to color it anyway. The final result left my hair looking spotted and inconsistent, resembling a "cheetah print" effect rather than professionally blended highlights.
After I expressed my dissatisfaction, I was initially told the salon would correct the issue. However, when I attempted to explain what needed to be fixed and provided input about my own hair, I was suddenly told that I was being "rude" and that they no longer wanted to provide service to me. I found this response completely unacceptable and deeply unprofessional.
As someone who works in healthcare, I understand the importance of listening to clients and respecting their knowledge of their own body and personal experience. For example, if a patient tells us which vein typically works best for an IV or blood draw, we listen because they know their body better than anyone else. The same principle should apply in a salon setting. A client should be able to communicate concerns and explain what they believe needs correction without being labeled difficult or denied service.
At no point was I disrespectful. I simply advocated for myself after receiving a poor result and attempted to help communicate how the issue could be corrected. Instead of addressing the problem professionally, I was met with defensiveness, hostility, and refusal of service.
I am appalled by the way this situation was handled. Clients deserve to be treated with respect, professionalism, and basic courtesy -- especially when attempting to resolve a service issue. This experience left me feeling embarrassed, dismissed, and extremely dissatisfied.
I hope management takes this complaint seriously and addresses both the quality of service and the manner in which clients are treated when concerns arise. read more
