    Tag & Release Amber Ale
    Ryan G.

This Sailfish location is fairly close to the beach, and the walkable area of Ocean Drive. Very nice on the inside, welcoming, and very clean. I ordered the smash burger w/fries and had a Tag & Release Amber ale. I've had the beer before, it's very good for that style of beer. It's a local brew and available almost anywhere you can get beer (in the area). The burger was ok. Supremely overcooked unfortunately (dry and dark). I visited once before and attempted to order the burger, but they said they were out of burgers, so I didn't eat. Based on my experience, this is a place that you would go out for beers and if you were hungry, grabbing a bite while you were there. But not necessarily a place that you would seek out to have dinner let's say.

Wow just wow! I am super glad that I found out that one of my favorite breweries has a micro brewery in town. The ambiance was great and the place was well kept. I had the Tag and Release and the Gravedigger. The Tag and Release is one of favorite red ales and the Gravedigger was a new release. It wasn't the greatest but it was doable. I was able to finish it. I was amazed by the fact the the brewery had hand scrub which is very uncommon in an establishment like this, but I definitely talked about it with my group. They were all impressed by the hand scrub. I definitely will recommend this place to anyone that enjoys a good craft beer.

nice place, came in to try the beers, but they do have a small menu & the food people ordered around us smelled good. beers were average at best, they don't have a lot of handles, so choices can be limited. ordered the sour on tap & a couple of ipas. seems that most of the breweries in the vero beach area are just NOT GOOD at making a good sour. the one i had was just bland & watery tasting. the ipas were good. think i'd come back to try the food. outside patio is nice....

Good prices on beer; we split a flight for $12, and a 16-oz draft is only $6. I liked the kettle sour but the other beers had a little too bitter of a finish. The local rice bowl with citrus and shrimp was tasty, but the fish tacos and rice and beans were bland. Service was fast and friendly.

Don't expect an on-site microbrewery. Don't expect messy bar grub. The main Sailfish Brewing in Ft. Pierce got Vero-Beached. Not a bad thing; this place is clean, neat and nicely 'appointed'. Subdued and not noisy. We started with a Mediterranean flatbread ($12). Starter-sized flatbread with oil, garlic, red onions, dried tomatoes, artichoke, feta, chicken and a balsamic glaze. It was good but not over the top. Not a lot of flavor; could've had more herb appeal. Something to make you say WOW. My wife ordered the Buddha Bowl ($12 + $4 for chicken), rice, roasted chickpeas, sweet potatoes, kale, red onion and avocado served with garlic tahini and topped with her choice of blackened chicken. It was good, said she, and I confirmed it to be tasty and unique to a taproom. My poke bowl ($16) was a mistake to order from a brewery. The tuna was grill grade, not sushi grade. It was plated alongside jasmine rice, pickled jalapeños, diced red onions, thinly sliced cucumbers and drizzled with a mild wasabi aioli and sweet ponzu sauce. Not impressed by presentation or contents. We enjoyed a sour IPA and a Belgian Tripel, from cans. Draft choices are also available. Our waitress was friendly, attentive but not hovering. In fact, her service is what kept this review rated at four stars. Come for the expectations of Sailfish beers. And remember this is a taproom more than it is a restaurant.

    Hazy IPA

The staff and food were outstanding for a brewery. It's a brewery not a restaurant so the atmosphere is just that. Beers were hit or miss but may lend to individual tastes. I'm a hop head and I thought the hazy IPA was great. The stouts were a bit bland.

    Take out beer.

I don't super recall having one of their beers at the Stuart beer festival, so I was excited about 'retrying' it. First, the building is awesome. Read the history on it, but also hard to ignore the giant generator that the beer comes out of it....super cool visual. I like the vibe of the place overall, and the patio seemed really nice but since it was our first visit I wanted to take the inside 'all in', and glad we did. Ok..the beers.... Flight: 6 5 oz pours for $15. Reasonable enough.. We started here just to see what pint we each wanted: *Freedom Tourch Stout: I loved it. *Hazy IPA *Double Vision IPA: Really enjoyed it; just amped up the hazy a bit. *Hef: Decent (not a super fan of hef, but wanted to sample) *Lager: Decent, it's a lager: * Icon IPA I ended up with an Icon IPA as my pint, enjoyed! Ok..the food * We split 10 wings for $16. Naked with nashville hot and blue cheese on teh side. Really enjoyed, meaty. * We also split a burger..the fun guy (funghi). We upgraded to sweet potato fries. I thought it was delicious, and the swp instead of marshmallow fluff had a maybe sweet cream cheese dip (i don't care it was delicious!) :) Now they were out of a few beers that was my first pick (including the Saison) but I guess it was others picks too..hence why they were out! Definitely want to go back!

We were able to get a picnic table for the group and while it was a little loud, it wasn't so bad that we couldn't hear each other across the table. The food was OK.. the gochujang chicken was probably the best thing. The person felt that the grouper sandwich was just ok, the fries that he got with it were pretty good - more like thick potato chips than fries. The pretzel bites were a little overcooked and thus very chewy. The chips had a great seasoning, but otherwise, they were chips. The beers were interesting and pretty unique. I logged them all to Untapped app. In terms of "service"... you order and pay at the counter and they bring your order to your table. It seems expected to bus your own table before leaving. No servers seem to be available, for anything you need you need to go back to the counter to ask. I'd go back for beer, though.

**INITIAL REVIEW**…read more Initially, I found Frazier Creek Brewing and Distilling (which I will shorthand simply to Frazier Creek for the remainder of this review) through my adventuring, specifically the Treasure Coast Wine, Ale & Spirits Trail. Though not the first brewery in Martin County, it is the first "brewstillery" in which it serves as both a brewery and distillery. Wanting to check in at another location on the aforementioned trail, I have to say this place is pretty good, but since I went early afternoon (I work 3rd shift at the time), it isn't exactly the most active place to be at. And to be fair, the same goes for the other brewery I went to at this time (Ocean Republic). Ergo, this initial review will be based on a visit between noontime and 3 p.m. In short, too early to be at a brewery, but the only time I could go because of my working shift. Though an address is provided, Frazier Creek is located in Mayfair Plaza on US-1 (Federal Hwy.). If it helps, it is the business that seems to have a "watchtower" rising up from its entrance like a sentinal. Upon entering, you're greeted to a nice open space that hints this place was probably an extreme sporting goods vendor or business in its past. Why I say that? Because of all the decks on the wall used to highlight Frazier Creek's drink menu. I sat at the bar which was optimally observed by the cute bartender, and I understand why it was minimal as it was, as aforementioned, "too early to be in a brewery" and there were like only one or two more patrons inside besides me. Nevertheless, the bartender was attentive and gave me drinks based on how I was feeling at the time as well as the fact it was still early afternoon. So for me, lighter beers. I would not drink a heavy stout or IPA this "early" in the day. What I did have were three drinks they always have on tap, two alcoholic so I had them in 4 oz. tasters and one that was non-alcoholic so I had a regular 8 oz. glass. Must stress I was hitting up the locales in the Treasure Coast Wine, Spirit & Ale trail in Martin County so I can't get all happy at ONE location, right? I had the Stuart Shandy and Zero Gravity Sour in the 4 oz. tasters. The former had more of the grapefruit flavor over the lemonade flavor, but it was delightfully sour. As for the latter, I enjoyed that one more because I prefer oranges as my citrus of choice. And to "fill in the gap" without having too much alcohol since I would be drinking mead next (Hani Honey Co.), I had their root beer, too. That was good too, but I am more of a cream soda kind of guy, and since sugar is in everything, I have a thing for Olipop, Virgil's, and Poppi flavors. So far, not one brewery has made a sugar free root beer (yet). As for the last part of food and drink, there was no formal food menu I saw, but they did have either a collaboration or something "in house" outside of the actual brewery and distillery was served for food: fish dip. There were two versions I got, and I ate one with Ritz crackers at the bar. Fantastic. Definitely home made and independent given the price point, but I am more than willing to pay to help support it. As for the other dip, it was good too once I opened and finished it back home. On a sidenote, the restrooms - at least the men's restroom - was decently clean and stocked. Nothing out of the norm. Given the fact I showed up during a time I don't expect the full service and experience Frazier Creek has to offer, I can only rate my visit(s) for what they offer at the time I went which is three out of five stars. Now I must stress that is actually not bad as they hit all the main points on serving a customer during a time when they are "down" and "slow." I don't expect them, or any brewery/distillery/meadery/etc. to bend over backwards for me when I show up at 1 p.m. on a weekday. But I will also say that for many places, doing just the basics is a chore during that time, so the fact Frazier Creek did, I applaud you all. Now that I am working a normal schedule, I can truly come by during your peak hours and see what Frazier Creek has to offer. I did see they were preparing for a cornhole tournament when I left, and I would have loved to stay to smash the competition, but a las, responsibilities over pleasure when in the midst of a workweek. If Frazier Creek is consistent with what they provided during the early afternoon, plus whatever they do during their peak hours, I'll definitely update this review.

Wish I knew about this when I moved to the area! Great place to bring a group of friends or stop in…read morefor a quick drink. Bartenders were super friendly as well and gave a nice walkthrough of what they had to offer on the menu as well. The food service is rather limited but still available as you can read in other reviews but I believe they allow outside food but also check with them first to be respectful of course. Other than that I'm definitely adding this to my place to bring my friends and family when they visit Stuart.
