I saw this Dr because he was closer to my home than Dr Kirby (at Orthopedic Physicians Associates). Proliance is a good place. I've seen a few providers there and they're all pretty decent. Sailer isn't. He interrupts, doesn't let you speak, tells you (essentially) you don't know what you're talking about - even though it's YOUR ailment, and does what he wants to do. I went in, he steamrolled through my comments, speaks WAY too fast to even understand, and most importantly, admitted he didn't read my chart, while shrugging his shoulders. He gave me a cortisone shot (even though I told him no) and ignored everything I told him.
Visit 1 - chief complaint. While he's poking HARD on my collarbone, asking me if it hurts, I tell him "yes. you're poking me!" He sends me off to get another MRI - which was fine - my last was about 12 yrs ago when Kirby gave me arthroscopic surgery.
Visit 2 - I came back for a follow up. He told me my MRI looked normal but still forced arthritis in my collarbone. I told him Kirby said my MRI looked normal as well until he opened me up and saw it was far from normal. He shrugged and told me "I don't know what Kirby did but he didn't do arthroscopic on you". He gave me the shot and told me to come back in a month.
I went back to Kirby - even though he's in Seattle, WELL worth the commute.
Sailer is a jerk. Pompous short man who could not care less about the patient because its all about dollars. "Why put you into surgery where we can resolve this all together at once, when I can give her more meds and shots - banking money??" His attitude is all about the bottom line and less about the patient. He's rude, arrogant, intrusive, refuses to let you speak - interrupting you the entire time, and just a pompous jerk.
I'd never refer any one to this guy. If I lost my arm and he was the only OS to work on it, I'd die of blood loss. He's a waste of time.
if you have any need for an OS from your shoulder to your wrist, GO TO DR RICHARD KIRBY. And run from Sailer like your hair is on fire. It seems a lot of providers coming out of Overlake hospital are like this. I'm seeing a big trend on arrogance, drug pushers, incorrect diagnoses and lack of empathy. Oh, and that they don't read the charts is a pretty big problem too. You have to do his job FOR him. read more
