I have been seeing Zach since 2023. From the very first visit, it was an outstanding experience. I…read moream very selective when choosing a chiropractor and now I will not see anyone else. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming, professional, and calming. He is friendly and efficient, making the entire process smooth and stress-free. He took the time to really listen to my concerns, thoroughly explained what was going on, and outlined a clear, personalized treatment plan. I have never felt rushed or pressured--just genuinely cared for. Upon our first meeting, his knowledge and expertise were immediately evident and he made sure that I was comfortable every step of the way. After just a few sessions, I noticed a significant improvement in my pain levels, mobility, and overall well-being. The adjustments were precise and effective, and I appreciated the additional advice on posture, stretching, and long-term care. If you're looking for someone who is skilled, attentive, and truly dedicated to helping you feel your best, this is the place to go! I'm incredibly grateful for the care that I've received and will definitely continue coming back.

I haven't had much, if any, neck issues since then. And even if I get some flare ups, I feel confident to resolve that with the exercises he's given me, and it resolves within a week (usually less). I recently started having really bad lower back pain for about the last 1-2 months and I finally made an appt to see him today. Zach gave me such an informative rundown on the root issues and the assessment was spot-on to my bad [posture] habits. He assured me in the way I needed it and again gave me the proper tools and exercises to feel confident that I can tackle this. I left feeling much less stiffness and tension in my lower back bc he spent some time loosening it up and adjusting my back. Can't say enough wonderful things about the guy and his knowledge. I already recommended him to some of my gfs.

This is my full update review (I have removed my prior). TL;DR at bottom…read more I saw Doctor Chimes around one year ago for intense hip and back pain. Right away, it was clear he cares more about his personal time than his patients. He told me he wanted yes or no answers and not explanations to his questions (and wouldn't really let me explain things in full even when it would clarify things). After my MRI, which showed multiple spinal issues (bulging, herniated, parse defect, which is a fracture) and bursitis in the hip, he gave me a shot for the bursitis that had already begun healing on its own. During this time, I continually try to tell him the pain is not in the location of the bursitis anymore. He continually ignores or even speaks over me. At the end, I am again trying to tell him I feel pain elsewhere in my hip even though there is a little reduction after the shot (but I was numbed, so of course it would hurt less). To test my pain, he had me stand up from my chair...once. Worse, when we were done and I was alone in the room, when I tried to get up to put my pants on, the pain was so intense I collapsed. This pain happened again when I got home and tried to take one step up the stairs. During our last appointment, instead of listening to me, he tells me "Your pain doesn't match the MRI", and that tells me I'm about to be dismissed, but then it got worse. He continues with, "In his professional opinion, you just need internal pelvic floor PT". Why? Because I'm a woman...and he asked me 2 or 3 YES or NO questions around sex and did not let me explain the answers... I told him I didn't think so, but he disagreed. Well, after speaking with a Pelvic Floor specialist, she disagreed with his assessment. So, instead of doing that, I went to Evergreen Sports and Spine and met with a new doctor who actually took my pain seriously. With his help and a new PT, another MRI of my hip WITH contrast (he was surprised that Dr. Chimes didn't order contrast as it's needed for specific tears in the hip), we found that I had a CAM Morphology, that should have been showing up on my other X-rays and MRIs, but apparently weren't spotted and/or reported...and that I had a tear in the Labrum of my right hip. Later, they also found I had a small pincer as well. So, a double impingement. I had to have surgery because the surgeon I spoke with next agreed that the tear was too large to not do surgery if I wanted to not be in pain. No arguing. No trying to talk me out of it. They immediately agreed it was the best course of action. I had surgery April 2nd of 2024 to remove my CAM and the Pincer they found, and then repair the labrum. While I'm still in recovery, my pain is down 80% of the time outside of flareups when I over exercise during my strength training. I would never send a woman to him, as she will be dismissed. I was in so much pain that I was crying after collapsing at the office during my last visit. The only reason I am giving this location a 2-star is because the women at the front were incredibly nice. This review is leaving out a lot of other smaller issues I had during my short time there. Maybe if you're a man, it'll be worth it, but if you're a woman, go elsewhere. I cannot, in good faith, recommend this office or Dr. Chimes. TL;DR, Dr. Chimes ignored what I said and then gave a sexist course of action due to my gender. New doctor 2 months later discovered the issue and that I needed hip surgery to remove two bone defects and a tear in my labrum. I have now had surgery and am doing well in recovery with a large reduction in pain.

I don't recommend Dr. Chi…read more As a petite woman, I weigh 92 pounds and stand at 4 feet 10 inches tall. My shoe size is 5. Dr. Chi performed toe fusion on me, but the screw he placed was far too big for my foot. My big toe didn't heal properly, causing me constant pain and I was unable to walk properly because the head of the screw was right below my skin at the front of my toe. He did not inform me ahead of time the size of the screw, and if he had, I would have chosen another option or doctor. For ten months after Dr. Chi's surgery, I was in constant pain and had difficulty walking. The bones were not healing. I asked him about other bone healing options and stem cell treatment, but he dismissed those. He told me unrelated scare stories, and told me he would do another surgery instead to take the pin out, perform a bone graft to fix the issue, then replace the pin. He also told me he didn't support the bone healing machine, that he didn't believe that stem cell treatment is a viable option. Instead he pushed another surgery or agreed to PRP treatment, which I have since discovered only works on tendons and ligaments, not bones. I switched doctors, and ended up having stem cell treatment, and that healed the bone. Then I had another surgery to remove the screw, using an extensive bone graft to fill the hole. More time, and lots more money to correct the surgery done by Dr Chi.

Saw another reviewer mention a failed surgery with Keem and that "complications occur," as if this…read moreisn't what so often happens with Keem (I've met people who've known physical therapists who work with numerous butchered Keem patients at a time) - so I'm back to update my review. This is a placeholder until I type out another banger lambasting Keem for being a terrible surgeon. Keem told me my artificial disc migrated - in actuality, a team of Virginia Mason neurosurgeons investigated, and found the disc was installed in the wrong place (which took a while to diagnose, as Keem refused to release intra-operative imaging for close to a year). Entire steps of my surgery were skipped. And he lied to my face about it - and to the Polyclinic ... just before mysteriously leaving his cushy position as their sole spinal surgeon. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Keem is a lazy, incompetent butcher. I still experience daily pain and take daily pain medications after what he did to me as a young athlete. He mysteriously vanished from the Polyclinic after multiple government investigations of my surgery, including a winning ruling by the Washington state AG's office because Keem was double-paid by both me and my insurance, and his office said I'd have to sue him directly to be reimbursed. He's corrupt, and a liar. After some time floating around, it appears he's been hired by Swedish. They should be ashamed of themselves - I reached out directly to share the results of my surgery. Clearly, Swedish doesn't care about the longevity of their patients, or keeping them safe, functional, and pain-free. Keep in mind that this man has a long and extensive history of "complicated" surgeries, as well as kickbacks into the millions from the manufacturer of the only artificial disc he installs. (They also cover fusion equipment, etc.) I could find no other surgeon who only uses equipment from one company ... let alone ones paid by them on the side. More corruption to the absolute core. More coming. I have other reviews for him in my profile, including one in which I caught him leaving himself a fake positive review. Don't be fooled by this slimy, unctuous guy who has a long history of leaving his patients immediately post-op to go get paid by Medtronic while they suffer through permanent and life-changing complications. Expect a PA to see you for your first post-op appointment (dangerous and insidious scope creep, going against all advice of the American Medical Association), and expect them to misread your imaging and gaslight you about your pain because they have no idea what they're talking about. This is an established pattern of Keem's. If Keem has 5,000 haters, I'm one of them. If Keem has 1 hater, it's me. If Keem has 0 haters, it's because his rotten surgery finally killed me Lmaoooo. If Shakespeare knew this guy, he'd call him an egg.

I'm 52 and totally understand the complications and risks with this type of surgery. I felt what could go wrong went wrong. The problem with a lot of people is they do not understand that when something goes wrong, almost all of the time it has nothing to do with the surgeon performing the procedure. Things just happen. Dr. Keem has always been professional and straight forward with me as well as the staff that works around him. I knew the risks and accepted what happened as part of that but Dr. Keem is great. I'd go to him again (this was my second procedure with him...the first being 7 years ago). The staff at the surgery center was amazing. All of them were great compared to my previous visit. I'd like to give a huge shout out to all of those who cared for me but the one that stood out the most was Morgan. She seemed so much of a real person than a robotic nurse that i had experienced with my previous surgery. She was easy to talk to and seemed relatable to my life experiences. Again...all of the nursing staff was amazing this visit but Morgan stands out the most. Thanks again.

I had 3 great experiences. He was in a good mood each and every single time. Just this week at the new Proliance building in Bellevue, he did an amazing job showing me my X-Ray and drawing little doodles over it to explain what is going on, and what my surgical options are. These last two visits he offered surgical options, but recommended against them as my case was borderline, and he clearly stated that orthopedic surgery is as invasive and painful as it gets. I don't remember my older visits well, but this week I had no problems with the office experience, or his staff, in fact I didn't even have to wait long. I've seen some ridiculous reviews left by other parties here and take offense. Let's be clear, surgery is a last resort and the major insult to the body in itself. Of course having a plate or screw drilled into your bone is going to hurt forever. Dr. Brandes didn't shatter your ankle into a thousand pieces, that was you. A lot of the reviews appear to be from Narcotics seeking patients, which is odd and doesn't match up with my experience. He immediately prescribed me some Vicodin in 2015 when he was main specialist on a badly broken toe that had 8/10 pain. I understand that there IS a legitimate pain management crisis going on in Washington State. I've heard, and experienced, other doctors who will throw you under the bus and leave you gasping in pain with broken bones poking out of your skin or severe nerve damage... But you can thank Governor Jay Inslee for that. About 10 years ago he ordered his Health Department to shut down Seattle Pain Centers on false pretenses, and then begin hunting down other doctors who prescribe pain medicine and take their medical licenses. That's where the problem started, with our governor's kneejerk and misguided reaction to the Heroin and Fentanyl crisis that sprang up under his watch.

UPDATE! I just called to cancel the appt with Dr. Brandes…read moreand schedule with a different doctor who my mother in law was referred to by her primary doctor. They told me patients are not allowed to switch doctors, because that's what the providers have agreed on. Even if your not happy with your doctor you still have to keep seeing him. What is this place?! Shouldn't it be about the patient and what the patient wants? That's exactly what I told the receptionist and she "says you are arguing with the wrong person" and I said " who can I argue with then" and she said " no one really" . This place is a joke and you all should look at the reviews that Dr. Brandes has on his personal yelp search before seeing him. But I'd avoid this place all together because you never know what doctor your gonna get and if you'll like him or not . Just know there is no going back and it's a waste of your, Or insurance money. My mother in law was referred here by Overlake for a broken foot. When I called to schedule an appointment I specifically asked for a Tuesday . After scheduling me I made sure again that it is a Tuesday and they confirmed . I get a reminder call which said your appt is on Wednesday. What?! You had one job! Then we go in to see Dr. Brandes. Front desk staff is friendly and his medical assistant Scott was amazing and very caring. Deserves 5 stars for sure but people don't come to see Scott they come to see the doctors :). Back to Dr. Brandes. His bed side manner is a 0. I was there to translate for my mother in law so he asked me what happened . I started to explain but before I even was able to say 3 words he cut me off like you know what never mind I don't care how it happened. He said she didn't need surgery but he wants to see her back in two weeks for another X-ray. We did schedule but will not be making that appt. We asked if she should be taking pain meds , he said he only gives pain meds to people who need surgery. But yet he wants to keep seeing her back. The woman has a broken bone, blue, swollen and sprained ankle and he treated her like a liar when she said she was in a lot of pain. She also told him that she is not able to wear the boot she was given due to pain and her doctor wanted her evaluated for a cast but he completely ignored that option too. He said "just take some Tylenol ". I did read all of the bad reviews prior to going and there was a bad one for Dr. Brandes already but It was an urgent situation so I had no time to search for anyone else. Now we do.
