Trigger finger was extremely painful in the middle finger of both hands. I saw 2 surgeons before finding BHS. Both surgeons told me surgery is the only guarantee my trigger finger and associated pain could be resolved. That did not set well with me as I had done my research before seeing both Doctor's to discuss my situation. I kept looking for a third doctor that was in my insurance network and found Dr Trumble. I had such a hard time finding someone who could diagnose and treat my symptoms, and Dr. Trumble was able to diagnose me with Osteochondritis Dissecans of the right elbow, and performed an Osteochondral Allograft Transplantation on me (as well as one minor procedure after). He did such an amazing job, and I couldn't imagine a better doctor than him. His hard work and dedication allowed me to continue in my career of competitive gymnastics, and live a normal life using my arm. While what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, what happened on Bourbon St followed me home from Mardi Gras. While I wish I had a phenomenal story to tell, I'm so dang clumsy that I just fell crossing the street before a parade with not a drop of alcohol in me..and there I was with a broken phalange. I was recommended to Dr. Trumble's office upon my return and was immediately impressed that although I called for an appointment at 4pm on a Friday, they fit me in without hesitation. During all my treatment, Dr. Trumble never made me feel rushed or hurried through my appointments, even when I was the last one of the day. I was quite surprised he took an incredibly conservative approach. His highest motivation was to ensure that in no way was my career jeopardized by this accident and that every treatment choice he made got me closer to health rather than risking taking me a step backwards. A pretty complex case, yet he elected to splint my finger vs. risk further damage through surgery. The in-house lab and physical therapists were wonderful and incredibly dedicated to finding me the perfect splint to help me heal and minimize any lasting esthetic effects. They saw me multiple times to ensure my splints were fitting just right and diligently attempted new designs to get the fit they wanted. The physical therapists I worked with were patient and encouraging. The medical assistants and front office were such a delight and always made me feel like I was the highest priority. They always seemed as if they remembered me, were crystal clear on my case and background, and treated me with the highest level of respect and care. The front office was incredibly patient in trying to accommodate my work schedule and reschedule me from time to time. Great quality of care and staff. I went to Dr. Trumble as a referral after going to a consult elsewhere. I was very scared based on what the original provider described - I got a personal recommendation from two different friends on two different occasions and scheduled an appointment. The end result was still the same surgery but his success rate was HIGHLY different. Previous surgeon said "1 in 3 complication rate" and Dr. T almost laughed when I asked him the same question. He said, "I've had so little issues, I don't even know I could give you an accurate answer. But if I had to guess, I'd say less than 3%." Navigating the world of payments and insurance can be tough. Scheduling appointments during COVID, a snowstorm, and holidays are almost impossible. Despite these challenges, the whole team came together to help me get surgery after breaking my wrist on Christmas. Very happy that I sought out a second opinion from Dr. Trumble. After 6 months of "it could be this or that" from various other doctors, he was able to see my condition and - because of the breadth of his expertise and knowledge in the field - was able to tell me that yes, he's seen this before, about 20 other cases in his career. After several hand surgeries, an implant that Trumble admitted was the wrong size and several years of enhanced pain I would recommend that you look elsewhere. He is slick, as are his office practices. Admittedly, they do give the least painful steroid shots, but that's about it. read more

My cat bit my thumb which quickly became severely infected. I guess cat bites are really a thing! Dr Trumble got me into the office right away and began aggressive treatment with antibiotics and surgery. Followed by many wound care and treatment appointments. I am so disappointed in the surgeries I had performed by Dr. Trumble. On my left index finger, he fused the bone. A few years later, I had the pin removed and was told I didn't need follow up care. He was also in the process of moving. A few weeks later I started experiencing pain and was seen by another dr. The dr ordered an MRI and the results showed the bone was never fused! To have it repaired would require another surgical procedure. On my right hand, I had a severe break at my wrist. Dr. Trumble operated and placed a plate and screws in. The plate and screw came out in another surgery. Then dr. Trumble said my tendons were ruptured. Another surgery. After that, I had 6 more surgeries to "repair" tendons and "remove" cysts. These surgeries spanned approximately 4-2/2 years. I am right handed. The last surgery dr. Trumble performed resulted in all the tendons fusing, leaving a deformity and the worst part, little to no use of my right hand and pain or discomfort on a daily basis. I have seen another dr and recently had the severed nerve repaired. Dr. Trumble said it was a cyst. It was not. The nerve was severed in his last attempt at my tendons. I wish I would have asked more questions. The amount of money he billed to me and my insurance is obscene. I believe he started out with good intentions, but feel I got lost somewhere between his greed for surgery and the money. I do not feel my best interests were taken into account. If Dr. Trumble is your doctor, please ask questions about the necessity of your surgery, the cost involved and the recovery time. Wishing I had known better will not help me now but if I can help or prevent this from happening to someone else, I'm glad. Thank you. read more

Dr. Trumble is the best hand surgeon in the region. He and his staff are exceptional and provide great care , with compassion. They actually take calls and answer questions in a very timely way. Dr. T did surgery on a my dominant hand. I write for a living, so you can imagine I wasn't too happy. While it takes time to heal the result has been truly excellent. My finger, that I expected to plague me for years to come after the injury is 100%. I feel very lucky, but I'm convinced a great deal of my luck also is a result of Dr. T's skill. At the same time he repaired my finger he removed a tumor another surgeon had tried to remove twice before from my index finger, only to have it return. Now that finger is perfect too. My husband, father, and myself have been patient's of Dr. Trumble for roughly 2-3 years. I also work in healthcare and have made numerous referrals to Dr. Trumble as I have always felt very pleased with his business and care. Recently, it has come to my attention that this has very much changed. I recently delivered my second child and have begun experiencing nerve pain related to childbirth and felt it was time to reach out to Dr. Trumble for further assistance. This pain has become so severe I am unable to attend to my child's needs, such as changing her diaper, holding her for long periods of time, or even simply feeding her. Upon reaching out to the business, I was informed I could not be scheduled due to a bill that was unpaid from 2018. A bill of which I never received notice on ( I have lived in the same home for many years with the same phone number). I explained how severe the situation was at hand, and felt that the bill need further attention as I was not aware of owing this business any fees. After speaking with the manager, she "offered" to wipe the debt off of my account to place me in good standing, noting someone would reach out to me for scheduling. No one called, I attempted for a week and a half to reach back out to the manager because when I called I was again told my account was on hold due to this bill. The manager reached out and told me they were unwilling to provide me any care as they felt I was a "difficult" patient and they did not want to provide me the care that was significantly needed. My pain has only continued to increase. During this period, I also reached out to my previous insurance and was able to get the information needed for the business to re-bill my insurance and called in to provide this information to the manager. I have gone above and beyond to reconcile this concern as my health is in severe risk and my mental well-being has declined dramatically due to the inability to provide the necessary care to my newborn child. I am devastated at how the business has attempted to handle the situation and labeling me as a "difficult" patient when they are called out for there miss-happenings: this not including them over billing myself and my husbands on numerous accounts without any support for doing so. Dr. Trumble is an excellent doctor, but his management and billing need replaced. read more

Dr. Trumble and his staff were very professional, but are also incredibly nice and welcoming. I really did feel like they cared about my injury (RCL tear) and took all the necessary tests and steps to ensure an efficient recovery. I went in multiple times: for an initial diagnosis from a medical assistant, for an MRI, surgery (not at the office), and multiple follow ups for my cast. Each time was a very smooth, well run visit. When I went in for my diagnosis from an MA, just before I was leaving Dr. Trumble caught me and insisted we did an x-ray to get a better look at what we were dealing with. Beyond the professionalism at the office, I have had absolutely no issue with my thumb ever since the surgery. I was told it was unsure whether I would regain full functionality, but it had felt like nothing had happen in no time! I read the last review and felt I had to also give my opinion. I am sorry to hear that Dr. Trumble was in an emergency surgery and unable to see Marc. Excellent doctors are harder and harder to find, and Dr. Trumble is an excellent surgeon, in fact he is the most amazing hand and wrist surgeon available today. And unlike Marc, I have met the man. My son broke his right wrist (and yes, he is right handed) while playing lacrosse. He was "toughing it out" (his words) and he didn't tell me how much it was hurting. Two months later, I took him in to see my brother-in-law who was an Orthopedic Surgeon, albeit specializing in hips. He x-rayed my son's wrist and explained that it was very bad. One of the bones was dissolving due to being starved of oxygen. He said he would do the surgery, but that I should take my son to the best hand and wrist surgeon around, Dr. Trumble because he was likely to have seen multiple cases like my son's on a regular basis, whereas my brother-in-law had not yet performed surgery on a wrist fracture as complicated as my son's was going to be. We spoke to Dr. Trumble at every appointment and Dr. Trumble personally examined my son each time. His surgery was scheduled as soon as Dr. Trumble could procure the donor bone that was to be needed. (Please Note, Dr. Trumble did not know my brother-in-law. My brother-in-law referred him due to the fact that Dr. Trumble wrote the text book on hand and wrist surgery that my brother-in-law studied in med school and due to Dr. Trumble's reputation among his peers and his success rate that my brother-in-law was aware of.) After my son's surgery, we left the hospital around 12:00pm and that evening around 7:30, Dr. Trumble called and spoke to myself, my husband and my son (the patient) as well. He answered all our questions and reassured us that all went very well and that Trenton was going to back to doing everything very soon. We followed up with a few appointments, but my son's surgery went so well and he healed so well, that even with a donor bone and a permanently embedded screw, he never needed any physical therapy. Upon taking his brace off, he was 100% in every tested mobility and in strength of hand and grip!!! He remains very active and continues to have full use in every way of his hand and wrist. We were impressed and very happy. Then 2 weeks later, I fell and broke my wrist. It was the day after Christmas. Even with the holidays, Dr. Trumble was able to order my x-rays and MRI's. He reviewed the results and called me right away. I then had my surgery scheduled almost immediately. Again, I was treated very professionally and personably. Following my surgery of 3 pins, 6 screws and a plate, my recovery was a little slower and I did need physical therapy. When I complained to Dr. Trumble that my son was 100% after his surgery, he very politely explained that healing takes a little longer for an adult than a 14 year old, but that I too would be back to doing everything before I knew it. During physical therapy, Dr. Trumble often stopped in (in between seeing his scheduled patients) and checked in on each of his previous surgery patients, looking at improvements and answering questions. Six months later I did have a second surgery and all the inserted hardware was removed, as had been planned from the beginning. After each surgery, Dr. Trumble called in the evening of the surgery, ensured that we were doing fine and answered any questions. I know Dr. Trumble must have a life outside of his patients, but being with him through 3 surgeries now, and seeing him with his patients, and talking to his patients during physical therapy and hearing their stories, it is hard to believe how. He spends so much time with each of his patients, I have no idea how he finds time for himself or even his own family. I am humbled by Dr. Trumble's dedication to his practice and his patients. And I am very grateful we still have surgeons like Dr. Trumble to take care of us, put us back together and help us heal after we suffer our crazy traumas. So, I hope this helps set the record straight as to who Dr. Trumble really is, coming from a person who HAS actually met the man. read more

Worst Dr. Office experiences I have had. I have had two appointments with Dr. Trumble, but have yet to actually speak to him. During my first appointment, I paid my co-pay to see the Dr. and was taken back to the exam room where some rudimentary tests were taken by the assisting staff. After over 30 minutes of testing, I was told that Dr. Trumble was not actually in the office due to an emergency surgery and that he MAY be back in about 45 minutes if I wanted to wait. Needless to say I declined and walked out. The Dr. was kind enough to look through their notes and have the assistant call me back to get an MRI scheduled, but while I indicated that I had issues with both wrists, they only wanted to do the MRI on one because they needed tests on the other one. I found this odd because I have the same symptoms on both hands. The assistant went back to Trumble and in a return call said they would do the tests and MRI on both sides now..... Several weeks later I finished the MRI and EMG test and scheduled an appointment to follow up. I showed up 5 minutes early for my appointment. Upon checking in, I was ask to pay my co-pay. Seeing that I did not actually get seen by the physician the first time, I felt that the first co-pay should cover this visit and declined to pay until I discussed it with the Dr. After 30 minutes in the waiting room, I went back to the desk to see how much longer it would be before the Dr would be able to see me. I was told that it would be another 10 minutes before I would be taken back to the exam room, but they could not tell me or even venture a guess at how long I would have to wait in the little room before being seen. I walked out and on my way told them that I was no longer a patient, but I guess that I never really was because I had never actually met the man. read more
