Tofu and Mix Vegetable Pho
Bryan C.

The place looked like a typical Chinese restaurant and the menu offered usual Chinese entrees, but when I did a search for Vietnamese Pho noodles, this place came up on my search. I called ahead to see if they have MSG in their food, they confirmed that they didn't. Yes! So I decided to give this place a try. The price for veggie pho here was pretty reasonable and the portions were pretty good too, wish they had more in portions. They usually use beef broth for the veggie pho but on special request they will replace it with veggie broth which is what I did. It tasted great and they had assortment of veggies. The pho was full of goodness, fresh and clean from any unwanted ingredients. The restaurant was clean and neat, seems like a family run business and the service was great. I dined in but many usually order take out or pick up. Definitely worth checking out again in the near future.

I ordered the pho and it was ok, I have had better pho in Colorado Springs. The brisket had a freezer burn taste. The booths also need to be repaired since the initial booth I sat at had some parts that were torn up and deflated.

Delicious and fresh! Tried this place out for the first time a few months ago and it's been our go to Asian restaurant since! Food is always fresh, hot, and so delicious! The food is consistently so good, and they don't skimp out on sauce or marinate. They have a good lunch special too. We found out that this place has been under new ownership for a few years now, so ignore the old reviews. Highly recommend trying this place out!

This USED to be so good when owned by the previous owners. Today my daughter and I went in and we could not even stomache the food. Chicken Pad Thai might as well have been fish sauce soup, it was so fishy. Bun dac biet was no better. The meat was chewy and somewhat a mystery as to wether it was chicken pork or beef. The Vietnamese egg roll was overpowered by ginger. SAVE your $$$$$. This horrible experience set us back $36 and wasn't even palatable:( The owner was not at all friendly. Support any other local business as I'm sure there is no where else as bad. Poor fish in the aquarium in the restaurant couldn't even see out because of the algae. I suppose that should have been our first clue :( Never fun wasting good money on bad food. In my daughters words, it was atrocious.

Don't understand what all these negative reviews are about. Service was excellent, quick and quality. Had the best boba tea I've ever had (Avocado). Pho was perfect and probably the best I've had in the springs. Got the vegetable spring rolls and they were crispy and so good. Highly recommend this establishment!!

Honestly looks sketchy from the outside, but don't let it stop you! This place is such a find with big portions, cheap prices, delicious food and fast/friendly service. It was empty inside when I went (seems like most people do takeout), so there was practically no wait for our dinner. The vegetarian egg rolls are SO crunchy and delicious! It comes with sweet and sour sauce but I'm partial to soy sauce with them. I choose kung pao tofu for my entree with steamed rice, but you can upgrade to fried rice for $1. The flavor was amazing, it wasn't too oily and not too spicy. It was so good I ate everything! Only thing that would complete blow Saigon grill out of the water is fortune cookies :)

This place is super family oriented. Reminded me of growing up with my mom taking me to work and just being there. Mom working the front while pops is cooking. Food is great can't complain! Everything made fresh you can just hear the wok! Got hot and sour soup Combo fried rice Chicken skewers Egg rolls

After shopping, was feeling hungry, looked up places around the area and came across this place. Got here, looked at the place, and comes across a little run down. We entered, was greeted, and sat down at a booth. The booths needed some updating. The place is small, has a few booths and tables. The menu is huge to order from. My mom started off with the egg drop soup and we shared the Vietnamese egg rolls. She said that the soup was very good but a little salty. We both really enjoyed the Vietnamese eggrolls. They were fresh, hot, and not drenched in oil. My mom ordered the deep fried seafood combination and I got the sesame shrimp. All the foods came out in decent time. The deep fried seafood combination was very good. I really like how they put the sauce on the side so the fried seafood remained crispy. The sesame shrimp was delicious too. It wasn't heavily breaded and the sauce was not overly sweet. Our entrees were delicious, flavorful, not salty and fresh. We both very much liked the sauces that came and was on our dishes. My mom likes it so much she started scooping the sauces and putting it over her rice. Lol. We enjoyed the food and finished everything we ordered. Don't let the outside of the place fool you. The food is good. It is a Vietnamese and Chinese cuisine. I look forward to coming back here again to try something else whenever I'm in the vicinity again. Thanks for a yummy first experience.

Is Saigon Grill closed for good?

No. It was closed for a few weeks due to some building trauma. It just re-opened this week. I had lunch there today, it was delicious!

I stumbled upon Viet's on a whim during a rough patch at work in the Springs and let me tell you, it became my go-to self-care spot. The #58 (pho tai gau sach) is life-changing, and actually the only pho restaurant I've been to that offers this meat combo. The broth is so rich and flavorful it tastes like it's been simmering since the dawn of time. It's hearty, healing, and everything you need on any day, good or bad. Just a heads-up though, you will not be deceived by a small size. A small bowl of pho here is *huge* and full of noodles, broth, meat and toppings, which they don't skimp on at all. It's like they knew I was having a bad day and were like, "Give this girl all the brisket and tripe she can handle." Only con is that it's far from Denver, but like all great loves, some things are worth the distance. When I'm in the Springs, this place is non-negotiable. 11/10 would eat until food coma again.

I enjoy pho beef combination which consists of brisket, meat ball, tendon, beef slice in perfectly blend well beef broth. My friend ordered Pho mixed seafood. Seafood based broth is tasty mixed well with fish, shrimp, squid, fish balls. Good size of fresh Thai basil & bean sprout for added on. Service is attentive by well trained waiters. Clean utensils & the seasoning tray. The restaurants offered booth & regular seats. Nothing fancy, but clean & bright. Noticed many Vietnamese family enjoy their meal together. I am recommended Viet's restaurant to others & will come back for more. Give 4 stars because I am Asian who like my pho served extra hot on temp. But they came out lukewarm. I might have to ask for extra hot next time.

Upon arrival, it was very crowded and very different from your typical pho restaurant. They played loud dance/house/techno music with lights flashing. The restaurant itself is small, probably has less than 15 tables. It took us awhile to get our water and for someone to take out order. We knew right away that our lunch experience will take a long time. We ordered spring rolls, their chicken wings naked, and their pho. I was not impressed with their spring rolls. It was all rice paper and was small. Didn't think it was worth the $8. Our pho broth itself was pretty decent but the meat that came with it was far and few. Don't expect to get a lot with your portion. My son left there hungry. If you want pho, I would try some other places. But if you want a little bit of everything, I suppose this is the right place to be. They had gyros, to wings, to pho.

I admit to being a Pho snob but this place did not disappoint. The shrimp and pork spring rolls were fresh and filled with crunchy veggies. Wasn't a huge fan of the peanut dipping sauce but the rolls were excellent. The rare steak Pho was the star of the show. It came out piping hot with lots of fresh veggies, lots of lime and homemade chili paste. The broth was very flavorful without being too fatty and the steak melted in your mouth. I may have found my new Pho spot and can't wait to try their wings! Also, the business partner/server Uriah was super friendly and service was top notch. TIp your servers extra this season. They work long hours to make us happy!

The Saigon Chicken Wings are massive wings with a nice light crispy outside. The sauce on the wings is got a sweetness to it that many will enjoy. The wings are so big you often have the inner part of the chicken wing unseasoned and flavorless due to the size and not having any of the breading or sauce to complement it. The reason I will be coming back is the bahn mi. I had the pork belly bahn mi and it was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. The pork belly was crisp and fatty and the whole sandwich was a delight. Service was good even though there tends to be a lot of customers come dinner time. The tables are fine but they do have that slight stickiness to them. Price wise the entrees are very cheap compared to most restaurants. I will be coming back for another bahn mi and to try some pho.

The Hot Spot seems to be under Vietnamese ownership, judging from the big Karaoke setup in the middle of the room and the surround music being Vietnamese songs. I'm sure this place becomes lively when there is a party and people take to their singing skills. But on this regular Saturday afternoon, it was not even half filled. Customers have a choice of ordering regular Vietnamese fares or be seated at a hot pot table to enjoy cooking your own food. One nice thing about The Hot Spot is that we weren't limited to 90 min or 2 hours. Could be because it was during a slow time. Food wise it was far from an elaborate hot pot experience. The broths don't have distinctive flavors from one another and there lacks a sauce station! Which is a signature hot pot spot! The meats, when brought out, especially the beef slices, tend to be on the darker hue, to me that signals less fresh. And the booth seats aren't the most comfortable. I think they make shift to turn the booth tables into hot pot compatible where the outlets are in the way of your knees (if you're tall and have long legs) or if short like me, the seats feel sunken. All in all, it was still a fun experience for AYCE hot pot, especially when not under time pressure and the staff is friendly albeit not the fastest.
