chicken and beef patties lunch special - delicious
    Marissa S.

I'm a fan. Food was fresh and tasty. Great service. Reasonable prices. I had a lunch special - chicken and beef patties over noodles. and I really enjoyed it. would definitely order it again. I will definitely be back.

Newly open Vietnamese/Thai restaurant in town! I think it's a chain restaurant. We have been to many other locations. Flavor is great. Definitely love the Thai ice tea. Super strong tea. The pho broth is warm and tasty. The beef brisket is perfect sliced. The place is clean and spacious. Staff are all friendly. Bathroom is clean. Easy parking (parking lot for the plaza). A great addition to the neighborhood. I'll probably order from here a lot.

Food comes out quick and all at once. I hate when I'm sitting there waiting for others dishes while drooling into mines haha Cozy spot, not a bunch of tables, decent amount but I suggest making a reservation to be safe. They serve a plate of shrimp chips on the house rather than bread. Def oily but hey it's tasty chips. Everything was flavorful no need to add any hot sauce or even hoisin to the pho. That says a lot! To me at least haha will forever take that 30 mins drive for a bowl for pho here. Check it out! You won't be disappointed. But if you are? Sorry not sorry

I met a few friends there for lunch and enjoyed their $15 lunch special and was blown away by how authentic and freaking delicious everything was. I grew up in Queens where I ate Vietnamese all the time and have been searching for the same quality ever since moving to Jersey. I finally found it!!! And the portions were huge. We all took food home. We've even done take out a few times and ventured further into their menu and were not disappointed. Street parking available but can get tricky. Not a lot of spots. I parked in the Asian Markets parking lot right behind the restaurant. Not sure if it's allowed.

I was amazed when I found this little hole-in-the-wall gem in one of my old haunts, Closter. I decided to give it a try. I got two bowls of the beef combo Pho, a single order of the regular beef Pho, the Spicy Ma Mi banh mi sandwich, and a Vietnamese Iced Coffee. These items are the easiest to judge, as most of the Vietnamese restaurants around Bergen County and the surrounding area kind of fail, choosing to cater to the population (skimping on spice, choosing western ingredients over authentic Asian ingredients, etc.). When I picked up my call-in order, the woman at the counter was very nice, though not Vietnamese and neither was the cook (not a problem at all, just an observation). She handed my order and I paid with a nice tip. I made it almost half way home when I got a call from the restaurant, and the same person told me she forgot to hand me the Vietnamese Iced Coffee and apologized. I made a u-turn and drove back to Ma Mi Eatery and picked up my drink. None of this exchange knocks any points against them, in fact, I was happy they called me. When I got home and unpacked everything, it all looked pretty authentic. I started with the combo beef Pho, adding all the toppings, plus the condiments of Hoisin sauce and Sriracha. What was missing was the fresh Thai basil! Then I read the menu and saw that they put the basil IN the soup when they serve it, so when I got home, all the basil was wilted. That's a shame because every single AAA Pho restaurant in Westminster, California serves their Pho with fresh Thai basil so customers can control how much basil they want, and to prevent wilting. That is my only real critique. Otherwise, the Pho was delicious, the broth was flavorful, and the really LOADED the soup with beef. Seriously, a lot of places in Westminster aren't that generous with brisket, but Ma Mi made my day. The Spicy Ma Mi banh mi sandwich was delicious, and loaded with all the appropriate toppings and condiments, though I wish they packed the wet ingredients (pickled carrot and daikon, cilantro, jalapeño) so the bread wouldn't get soggy, which it did, slightly. The bread itself was not the best bread I've had, typically, the bread used in most Vietnamese sandwich shops have a flaky crust and airy soft bread inside. This one a bit coarse on the crust with a heavy crunch. The interior was okay though. All in all, it was a great effort. The next time I revisit my hometown, I'll be sure to stop by Ma Mi Eatery for sure.

I customized my pho bowl by adding the Beef Ball (Bo Vien), which also came with rice noodles, cilantro, onion, and scallions. I was given a mini bag filled with jalapeños, basil leaves, limes, bean sprouts, sriracha packets, and hoisin sauce packets to complement the pho. Overall, the soup was absolutely dynamite and comforting. The broth had a superb flavor bomb, which made the entire meal extremely satisfying. I enhanced my bowl with the addition of jalapeños, basil leaves, lime juice, and sriracha sauce. The order was delivered in a timely manner. The staff member who assisted me over the phone was super kind, especially since I requested extra sriracha packets. The price point of the pho was nicely affordable. Overall, I highly recommend going to Binh Duong IV for a delicious bowl of pho. This restaurant does not disappoint when it comes to the satisfaction and taste of the food.

3.5: A casual, unpolished spot for Vietnamese food that's probably better for takeout…read more We stopped here for lunch on a weekend and there were a few customers already dining in and quite a few takeout orders coming in. They had two kinds of pho: one with three types of meat (rare steak, beef balls and brisket -$16) and one with one meat ($15) plus choice of additional protein at either $1 or $2 extra. Both were pretty good but we felt quite thirsty afterward from the sodium and seasonings. We enjoyed the tofu spring rolls (though the tofu was hard to pick out) and the summer rolls. There was a little miscommunication around the pho and what was included, and my pho came out with the wrong type of protein at first. But they fixed it in short order and were nice and accommodating. The actual space looks like a larger Chinese takeout place so nothing special there. There's also a sign that said to seat yourself and then order at the kiosk. The server was there and said he could serve us. But you can save money by just ordering at the kiosk or getting takeout. 3% more on credit card orders too. I guess the prices are what you get these days but felt it, maybe because of the lack of ambiance. The plaza is pretty sad looking, with some empty storefronts and smaller shops like a nail place, pizza, small Greek spot, and a Fresh Grocer. The plus side is parking is easy peasy.
