Burrito de cochinita and a pulpo tostada :)

Mexican here. Chilango to be exact. 1st gen Mex-American from so So Cal. Anyhow, enough of me and more of Sahuaro. We walked in in need of Mexican food after a week of only Spanish food. I mean nothing against Spanish food it's good but when you're Mexican you need your spicy salsas. We walk in prior to getting on the metro towards a Real Madrid game. We ordered a Michelada and a Mezcal/tamarindo drink that were spot on! Michelada was a 7 out of 10 and the mezcal drink was a strong 8 out of 10. Then we got to taste the pulpo tostada that was bombskis. It tasted like aguachile with aguacate and salsa magi with pulpo. Only down side is the size but just enjoy the tostada easy strong 8 out of 10. We also ordered the burrito de cochinita pibil and I'll give it a 7 out of 10. The salsa de chipotle the aceite is the fix i need until I get back to So Cal nice and spicy the only real way to eat Mexican food! All in all I recommend this place if you need some paisa food :)

My husband and I stumbled upon this place after walking around in ridiculous heat and needing something refreshing to eat and drink. We were a bit tired of ham and bread by now. We were pleasantly surprised. The tacos and ceviche were really good! My husband didn't love his chipotle chicken tho although it wasn't too bad. Altho my tacos were a little dry at first I squeezed on the provided lemon and the sauces that are brought to the table and it was perfectly fine. I had the braised pork tacos and they came with just onions on top. Very simple but very delicious! The ceviche was very citrusy, just the way we like it and tasted very fresh. Drinks are also really good. (Had mojito, pina colada and a michelada) The lack of a 5th star is due to the waiters messing up a few times. For example he forgot our drink order and we had to remind him, but they are very friendly so its ok. The ambiance is also really nice, indoor covered area and an indoor large area (compared to other places in the area) very modern feel.

This place is so good my friend and I came two days in a row. We're both from southern california so we know good Mexican food. Marco helped us both times and was super attentive and nice! We got the guacamole and ceviche the first night, everything was sooo yummy. The second night we got the sahuaro sampler appetizer which comes with quesadillas, taquitos, and sopes as well as the pastor tacos and cheesecake. Everything was delicious!!

Sauces that are brought to the table but no one explains what they are or what you even need them for.

After trying all manner of tapas, this was a refreshing change. I'm so glad I've had authentic…read moreMexican food in Mexico and in Detroit's Mexican Town many times so I know how good it can be. Santita stands with the best Mexican food I've ever eaten. To start, it already stands out from every other restaurant I've visited in Madrid because of his beer selection. Instead of ordering Cerveza, and getting the one beer the place has, you have nice choice of Mexican beers, served in a bottle. Negra Modelo, one of my favorites, was among them. Margaritas are small, but cheap (5€), tasty, and potent. Guacamole is creamy and robust, served in a stone mortar, as it's traditionally been made for centuries. The tortilla chips are thick, and not particularly salty, but they're a perfect pairing to start the meal. Please, please order the Los Ignacios...the most perfect Mexican pizza you'll ever have in your life. The description on the menu says "our version of the traditional nachos". For Americans, this evokes tortilla chips with melted cheese, onions, and peppers with low grade meat. Here, you get a thin, crispy crust layered with pico de gallo, cheese, beans, guacamole, meat...yes, similar ingredients in crappy bar nachos, but so, so much better. Tacos are tiny discs piled with meat. The tacos de pollo (chicken) is covered in a rich crema, with small pieces of lean chicken breast. The tacos de chochinita had a massive mound of marinated pork. All had pickled red onions on top. My wife didn't like all the crema, but I did. The pork was excellent. The burrito de pollo was massive and suitable for sharing (though our friend didn't want to share). It has excellent rice with the chicken. We had tried to order a side of rice previously, and we were told it couldn't be ordered separately. Not sure why that is, but this is a great way to get it. Yes, we were stuffed by then. No, we didn't stop ordering. We closed with coconut ice cream, which was pretty standard, but the margarita ice cream? Wow. It's a scoop of ice cream that gets a shot of tequila dumped on it. The sweetness balances the tequila beautifully. Service was also excellent. We ordered a few rounds of drinks (lost track of how many...oops). All the things we ordered set us back 93€. What a great way to experience authentic Mexican cuisine.

I had no idea it was Mexican food when we first walked in and thought what's the big deal since I have Mexican all the time in the U.S. Boy, was I surprised! They did such an impressive job of combining such a variation of flavors and bringing them all together in each bite. The food was something I would expect from a top-level chef. We wanted to eat everything on the menu and really wish that we could have done so. A simple taco was such an incredible taste experience. Whatever they used to create that flavor fest was just delicious. Wish I could go again!!!
