The makeup is a hit or a miss here. One girl did a good job, but another woman did a terrible job. They really need to be honest with who can do what. It's not fair to spend 100 on makeup and come out with what looks like flour on your face. The woman really did a poor job. My eyelash fell out 30 minutes later, no contouring and way overpowered. I could have done a much better job myself. I was really upset. They are fine for eyebrows, threading and facials. read more

Never opens on time - why list your business times as 10-8 if at 1005 you're not open? This isn't the first time I've come to do my eyebrows and they're not open when they say they are. Nobody ever picks up the phone bcuz they're constantly having private conversations while threading - aka spit and hot breath going on your face while they have the thread in their mouth and talking on the phone simultaneously. There used to be a lady who did eyebrows well but now they have different people who think messing up your brows when you ask for a clean up and then filling it in with pencil (poorly) somehow makes it better. read more

I'm so disappointed in this place. I'm not trying to make you yelpers run away from this business. The woman jasmine is the best. Trust her with ur eyebrows! No one else! I use to come here for my eyebrows. I specifically asked for jasmine who does a good job with eyebrows. But this other woman insisted she does and better job and promised me she will do them better than jasmine. When I tell you she's slaughtered my eyebrows, she did! She had no mercy on them! They were fine prior. They just needed cleaning from the the bottom. This woman had bad eyebrows herself. I don't know why on earth I said okay! Wtf is wrong with me! I'm such an idiot for trusting her. I have been trying to grow them out ever since. It's been a year now. My right eyebrow has not fully grown. I have to color them in with a eyebrow pencil. It's really hard growing them. Another thing, when u get a hair cut and you specially ask for an inch to be cut off. They will cut 10 extra inches. Also, I do not recommend Brazilian wax here. My friend did waxing here and she said it was the most longest and painful time. read more

I've been coming to the salon for years. The staff are very nice and friendly. I always get my waxing and threading done by Farah. She's very good and does a great job. I recommend her for all your waxing, treading and facial needs. read more

I've been going here for 5 years now. I ONLY get my eyebrows done here. Noshin is amazing. She is very gentle and does my eyebrows exactly how i want them to be, natural shaped and thick. If noshin isn't there i won't get my eyebrows done. Highly recommend for eyebrows!!! As for other services i'm not too sure. My friend has gotten her bridal makeup here and it was nice. Another friend has gotten her hair colored and it was not so nice. Just stick to threading eyebrows here. Also try not to come on a busy time. I come Saturday at like 12 and i get the right attention needed. read more

humaira (the girl in the picture) needs to be fired, her ass should of been fired a long time ago!!! she is very rude to the customers and employees. she pushed a coworker in front of me who was just helping. she also put the chair so high as if she wanted my back hurt and my neck to snap and when i politely asked her if she can lower the chair she then complained about how she doesn't want *her* back hurting and didn't move the chair. i never once in a salon sat in such an uncomfortable position set up by the worker. she doesn't care about the customers and needs to know that they come first not her selfishness & complaints. its her job to make them feel comfortable but shes doing the complete opposite! before she even started to do my eyebrows she complained about me having nail tips on! she said "yaar nails!" as if my nails were going to stop her from doing my eyebrows oh please. then when i again kindly told her ppl have long nails on all the time and ppl are still able to do their eyebrows she yelled out "so im doing". then she was getting annoyed that i asked her to do my eyebrows a little thinner (it looked like she barely touched them) and she complained about that. how dare she be the one complaining still and catching an attitude! oh and then she had the nerve to ask me if i paid already as if im not a loyal paying customer whose been going there before her ass even started working there, bitch i been going there while you working at raheelas and getting into arguments with the workers there! oopssssss. looks like she is the problem everywhere she works at, what a selfish entitled disgusting cunt! no wonder the workers at raheelas hated her and said that she was always rude and always starting fights with the coworkers. they are happy she is not their problem anymore, but because of her own actions they still talk about her. fire her! she shouldn't be your guys problem either. read more

Sahiba Salon - That's Humaira - Hair Salons Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

Long wait time, on Saturday there is only ONE employee Nosheen who is the best for eyebrow shaping. She had all the work load on her Saturday. I had to wait ONE HOUR for her. The business owner needs to hire more staff! read more

I'm so happy that I found this place! I've been going to overpriced spas or mediocre nail salons for waxing, and none of them are worth it. Sahiba's is a typical Indian/Pakistani salon, which means so so customer service, but low prices and effective hair removal! I'm always happy with their threading, and their waxing is efficient. Pro tip: They say they accept credit card, but every time I've been there the machine is broken, so make sure you have cash. Also, it's women only, sorry guys! read more

They do horrible job with makeup . Blending is horrible. Salon is extremely dirty . I got my laser session done and they burnt my chin. I will not recommend this place. Girls are rude and lazy. I just had a very bad experience. They shouldn't do makeup at all. I hired a professional photographer to take my photo and he couldn't even photoshop to fix the blending. read more

I got my party makeup done by Shahida . Everyone loved my makeup and hairstyle. Photos came flawless. I will be going to Shahida for future events. Sahiba Salon is neat and clean . Everyone is accommodating and friendly. Thank you for making my memories glamorous. read more

This is an amazing salon. I'm from downtown Manhattan and I still brave the hour long commute to get here! They have 4 different kinds of waxed including chocolate wax, organic wax, and herbal wax. They also henna hair! I was in bad need of henna, and they did an amazing job with it. I typically put oil before I apply henna and they were very accommodating to my needs. The prices are very reasonable, about $25-30 for a full face wax including eyebrow threading. They will pluck, thread, and wax their way to smooth skin. They did an amazing job and were very thorough. I will definitely come here again. read more

Amazing job! I loved the way Farah did my hair. Mashallah, it was beautiful. She took her time and made me feel so confident about myself.

This was an amazing experience. I got a hair cut and loved the outcome. Special shout-out to Farah for doing an outstanding job. She gave me long layers, and curtain bangs. I loved it so much and can't wait to come again. read more

Beware of henna! Last month, I got my bridal hennah done the night before my wedding. My two sisters also had their henna done along with me. After a few hours, my hands began to burn. By the time the morning came, both my hands and the hands of my two sisters were covered in water filled boils where the design was painted on. I spent my wedding day in pain, unable to properly greet anyone or allow anything to graze my burning arms. My hands are now scarred for life. Not only did they scar my hands but they also ruined my wedding day. Keep away! read more

Sahiba Salon - Scarring from henna done here 4 weeks ago. - Hair Salons Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

I called early on sunday to ask if they had availability for me to get my makeup done- they said to come in a little after 4 . I get there around 410 . I have thinning hair and asked if they knew how to work with my hair type . They said yes they can. Set me up with a stylist that proceeded to talk shit about my hair in their language and laugh - I understood everything they said. Very unprofessional. The stylist also used gel and hairspray before curling my hair and i could hear my hair sizzling. Then had me lie down and get my makeup done- which crushed the curls and fucked up my hair. I told them i had to leAve by 6 to go get ready and they barely had my foundation done by then. Make up was done nicely and the makeup girl did try to fix my hair but the damage was done. And they had the balls to charge me for my fucked up hair . I just paid and left because i was already half an hour late. Worse experience of my life. This place has gone downhill. PS my hair hasnt been the same since the sizzling read more

The salon is very clean and the staffs are friendly. Resoanable prices. Facials are good I would prefer Farrah for facial and waxing

I have been going to this salon for years. The ladies are all very nice. Me and sister always go here and we have certain people we like for certain things. Such as for facials, ask for Farah. She does a good job and makes sure she wipes your face and ears and nose properly while doing your facial so that you're not uncomfortable. We also get our hair cut done here all the time. They really listen to what you want and won't cut too much away. They style it nicely for you at the end. What I like is that while you're doing your hair or facial, they'll tell you what to do to keep your skin/hair healthy and if you ask they'll give you some suggestions about skin care items and methods to have better hair. The owner/manager (forgot her name) is usually the one that does our haircuts and hair coloring/highlighting. She's really good with haircuts. I have a wide forehead and she always cuts my hair and bangs to make my hair seem fuller and healthier as well as to provide some coverage for my forehead. I recently got my hair colored red, but the red came out really fast. I know red color leaks a lot but I expected it to stay longer, not just 3 weeks but I expected it and wasn't feeling the color THAT much so I didn't mind. It became more orange/brown by the end of the month. Overall, if you can explain what you want well, they'll listen and do their best. If you do not like, they'll do their best to help you by suggesting what you can do. It'll take some time to find "your person" but they're pretty patient with everyone. read more

Went there on a Tuesday afternoon, she tamed my bushy brows and cleaned up my face for 1/3 less the price I used to spend at Raheela Beauty Parlor. Definitely a place that I will make a regular habit spot. The woman (i forgot her name) but she made me feel well taken care of. read more

I went today thinking I would get a really cute hair cut ...sadly I came out with BURNED hair. The lady with the blond hair knows what she's doing but the other lady has no idea what to do . The blond lady cut my hair that was fine however the other lady had to do the blowout which was an epic fail. She burned my hair and when I ran my hands through it chucks of pieces would come out and my hair became rough . I was super disapponinted and I have brunt hair . read more

I recently tried Magic Sleek at the salon and it turned out great! The staff is professional and knowledgeable. I visited the salon many times for various reasons including color, cut, blow dry, eye brow threading, and waxing. Every time I visit I'm happy with the result. I will be back in the near future. read more

I usually go on church ave and 17th to get my eyebrows thread .i hate that place so i found sohiba on here and decided to try them out . I usually never write reviews but i was so impressed . Very clean .I had to walk 15 minutes in the sweltering hot and when i got there i was sweating .even though the air was on they turned 2 fans on me for me to cool down .they did an amazing job on my eyebrows they have never looked this good !!! I will def be back read more

Tahseem does really good whitening facials. I have noticed a great difference. They do great eyebrow threading as well.

I just came from Sahiba and I couldn't be happier! Tahseen did an amazing job, she gave me natural-looking blonde highlights and a fresh hair cut. I found an add on Groupon and got a great deal. I'll definitely be returning there soon for their other services too. read more

Just came back from Sahiba, feeling rejuvenated and relaxed. Yasmeen gave me the Shahnaz Gold Facial which left my skin feeling soft like a baby's bottom. I usually walk-in for threading but had been meaning to get a facial for awhile. I certainly am happy that I did. Unlike the other reviewer, I have never gotten any complaints from the ladies working there. They are always super sweet and accommodating. read more

I only get my eyebrows done here so I can't comment on the rest of their services although my sister just got a haircut there that she loves. I've been going here for years, almost 9 Years now and I love how my brows look and how clean the place is. I took away a star cause sometimes they are so packed on weekends that it's annoying that they have 5 girls attending only one group. read more

Worst place to get your eyebrows butchered. I travel to wow threading studio instead and get charged $5 for a well crafted shape from the owner. At Sahiba, there are many rude ladies especially the owner at this salon and her sister they always have this nasty angry face on . The skinny bengali girl is nice and so is Yasmin (the one with the blonde hair and glasses) but they make your eyebrows skinny as fudge. However not only is this place shady but also schemes new customers by alternating the prices. One day eyebrows will be $8 another day $12. My sister HATES this place with a passion! Tahseen, (Bluetooth lady) did my eyebrows and asked me 'why are you waiting for me ' I told her I made an appointment she started murmuring some stupid things (very unprofessional). She also scratched my face with her finger nails which dug deep into my skin causing it to bleed profusely. This shithole needs to shut down ASAP. read more

I've been coming to this salon for 3 years now. They are very good for eyebrows. I started getting my hair done as well. Highlights and cut and blow dry. Tahseen does an excellent job and they are very reasonably priced. This is not an upscale salon but is good in terms of service and price. People are friendly and polite. They don't do appointments so there may be a wait involved. I personally am very happy with this salon and intend to continue using it as long as I live nearby. read more

I had enough of this beauty parlor to last me a couple of lifetimes......... I use to come all the way from Bensonhurst just because I liked the way they did my eyebrows but a loyal customer doesn't count for much!!! Plus I had started to give more business such as getting my haircut and nails. I got my haircut recently, I was told that If I wanted it straightened and blow dried afterwards it would be $30 but just to blow dry with the haircut would be $25. I had gotten steps in my hair from Yasmin before and she had only charged me 15 dollars. Apparently that was just a trimming and hence the 10 dollar change in price since then. Well after I had agreed to$ 25 dollars whoa and behold I go to pay and all of a sudden its 30 dollars. Which annoyed me that half an hour later she would try to fleece me when we had discussed the variations in price in detail. She had also mentioned giving me the same price as the Groupon deal if I wanted highlights in the future. Never got the deal. Then there was this other time I had just wanted a hairstyle for my brothers wedding. I had not mentioned just hair styling but she was promoting a package deal for $75 dollars for hair and makeup. It really annoyed me that she was sleazy when I told her I only wanted a hairstyle and that was it. She kept on insisting and didn't care about what business she could bring versus none at all. Then she had the audacity to complain that she would have to come in on a Sunday. So your telling me your the only one in all of the beauty salon who has the qualifications to do a hair style?!! Eventually she relented when it got closer to the wedding that someone wanted a day off on a Sunday and she can do my hair. This was on a Monday, still she wouldn't let the makeup go and kept on pushing. Disgusted I finally told her I wasn't interested and conveyed my dislike of her behavior and pricing problems. Then I mentioned all of the above to her and she told me I had hearing problems. She started attacking me about my hair having split ends and what a great job she had did. She said that the Groupon deal didn't exist, even though I checked today before I posted this review. I would complain to the manager who is practically non existent and I haven't seen there in a year. I am taking my business elsewhere and I am going to look into reporting their false pricing to 311. Like seriously all beauty salons have prices up but this has one obscure listing that doesn't even cover half of the products they try to sell!!! Customers beware........ I gave this place the benefit of the doubt multiple time but at this point its been more then three strikes and they are out! Hopefully the owner will see this review and educate all their staff about the right prices instead of the discrepancy i had to face with just one person. Beauty shouldn't be this complicated and customer loyalty should not be rewarded by personally attacking the customer. read more
