That's not the norm nowadays so I appreciate how well I'm treated over the phone as well as at the front desk. In fact, I visited another office that I would never go back to based on how rude the woman at the front desk was. The office is equipped with top of the line equipment and it's kept immaculate. The dental hygienist are thorough and I'm very pleased with the results of my cleanings. About Dr. Mike, he has a sense of humor and is personable. I felt confident with him and his proficiency from my very first visit. He is thorough in his examinations, and explains to you while showing you on your films, what your dental issues are and he discusses with you a treatment plan to include an estimate of the services needed before you begin the work. I've never felt any discomfort, pain, or anxiety while Dr. Mike is working on my teeth, and I am always pleased with his work. I just so happen to have needed to have very extensive work so I visited with three other dentist on the island, and although two others were quite good, I've chosen to stay with Dr. Mike. I have gone to another dentist for years with reoccurring pain in several teeth, and they always told me it was referred pain from TMJ. Dr. Vandervoort made sure to take to time to explain to me in detail what was going on and gave me the information and tools necessary to fully support my dental health & hygiene. They used a couple things I have never used before something to protect my lips, another thing which held my tongue in place and something else that was in between my teeth so I didn't have to force my mouth open the whole time. I was very impressed with my entire visit; the office staff and technicians were very pleasant to work with, all the new dental diagnostic equipment was amazing to see. Dr. Spader was very thorough and wonderful, taking time to explain his examination, and answer all my questions. And Charlie, the Service Animal, came around to visit me, to make sure everything was good. I would definitely recommend Dr. Spader and his office to everyone.
