The interior is very old school cool, and I could have settled into those huge leather couches all night. (Except they close at 9pm on weeknights so I guess they'd kick me out.) The bartender was funny and friendly, and we lucked out that it was happy hour, buy one/get one. We didn't actually go back up for our free drinks, so when we returned our chips and cashed out, she only charged us for one drink instead. She didn't have to do that, and it was really cool that she did. Small crowd, very quiet, dark and atmospheric. Really, this is my ideal place. If I lived downtown, this would be my go to.

A chocolate cup full of unflavored but rich whipped cream and a minuscule amount of pistachio flavored something that was holding the cup to the plate. We were mostly just confused by the name of the dish versus the experience. It was good just not pistachio mousse. We actually wondered if someone accidentally prepared it wrong. We were here for an anniversary and were given free champagne before our meal and offered more at the end which we declined because of all the other lovely drinks we'd had. The service was great, the staff were polite and informed about the menu and drinks and the bartenders made wonderful things. Will be trying Saint Neri again soon.
