The receptionist Yasmin explained everything thoroughly to me about my insurance and provided me with the cost estimate before my appointment when I asked. I had called around to other offices that seemed very annoyed at my questions to them. This was entirely different. When I arrived, she was super welcoming and genuinely put me at ease. Teddy, his assistant, was such a pleasure to work with and very professional. Dr. Nazeri performed a root canal on me and did a wonderful job. It was my first one and he was patient answering all of my questions and explaining the cause, diagnosis, and procedure. It was on a back molar that had a crack due to an old cavity filling from when I was a kid. My tooth had 4 root canals in it which is more than most people, which required more work. However he finished the procedure in one appointment and it felt like he was very skilled. I felt no pain and he handled the whole operation expertly. Overall a Great experience! Also a good price for RCT.

Dr. Nazeri performed a root canal on my upper back molar, which was similar to a difficult root canal I had previously on the opposite side. Due to the significant amount of infection, the treatment was originally expected to require two separate sessions. However, thanks to Dr. Nazeri's expertise and skill, he was able to complete the entire procedure in just one visit. Most importantly, I experienced absolutely no pain during the treatment and no discomfort afterward. In addition, the cost of the procedure was very reasonable. I highly recommend Dr. Nazeri and the entire Endo Care team for their professionalism, efficiency, and excellent patient care.

My prosthodontist had no reservations recommending Dr. Jensen for a needed root canal in preparation for a couple of implants next to the said tooth. What a blessing Dr. Jensen is to the profession of dentistry, in particular to Endodontics. The whole experience was customer service extraordinaire. The receptionist was a delightful, engaging, comedic, expectant mom. They hadn't received the x-ray imaging from the lab and had to do them again in their office at no charge. Every step of the way was professional courtesy, with Dr. Jensen being the epitome of excellence. She explained in detail the root canal in question, what needed to be done and that her aide (who took all the imaging) was also training a promising young man in all aspects of the instruments used and the procedure steps to aide Dr. Jensen. Truly a respectful, caring learning experience. Dr. Jensen approach in providing pertinent information, her personal care, her mastery of her craft, from Novocain, drilling, cleaning and filling the tooth back to normalcy with exceptional skill, was soothing comfort. And, delightfully, during the procedure she would softly hum a soft tune for a few seconds...what comfort and smiles she provided. Basically, a wonderful experience with kindhearted staff and a remarkable, compassionate, and masterful Dr. Jensen.

I was writing a few yelp reviews today and realized I've never reviewed Dr. Karas. My treatment is…read moreongoing, but I can't say enough great things thus far so I think it deserves a review :) I presented to Dr. Karas with a pretty complicated case with a lot of history. I was told I needed jaw surgery all of my life and finally jumped in and got braces and jaw surgery in 2013-2014 with Kaiser Oakland. Both my orthodontic and surgical work were done terribly wrong, and left me in a much worse position than what I started with prior to any treatment. I was left to find a whole new team to revise my entire treatment, and now I was a very complicated and difficult case. I consulted with multiple maxfac surgeons, including some of the biggest names in the business. Multiple professionals in the area recommended Dr. Karas to me. He was my last consult out of the surgeons I saw, and I knew from the moment I left the appointment that I wanted him to do my revision surgery. The care from Dr. Karas (as well as my new orthodontist working with him) has just been night and day in comparison to the care I received during my first jaw surgery experience. From the consult on everything has just been incredible. He has gone above and beyond to work with me to not only help me on a path to fix what was wrong, but he also did research to try to piece together pieces of the puzzle of what went wrong in my first surgery after the first surgeon abandoned me with no answers. And after that experience, he's also been incredibly caring and goes out of his way to make sure I am fully informed and involved in my re-treatment. Not only did he step up and take an incredibly difficult surgical case, but he also committed to dealing with the natural skepticism and anxiety I had stemming from my first surgical experience. My case required a little more in depth planning with additional doctors such as my prosthodontist, and he went above and beyond to make sure all options were explored for my case. I had no plans shown to me for my first surgery. In preparation for my revision, Dr. Karas uses new technology to do the best 3D scans and modeling for your case. He walked me through all of the proposed movements, anticipated results, and thoroughly covered all of the risks. Again, night and day compared to my first experience. The surgical experience was great at Aspen/John Muir. All of the staff there had nothing but great things to say to me about Dr. Karas, and they obviously enjoy working with him there. My post op care has been amazing thus far. I only saw my surgeon once the first month post op after my original surgery. Dr. Karas has been super involved, seeing me the day after surgery, then five days, 10 days, and 3 weeks post op; taking a good look at everything and making sure everything is as it should be after all of the hard work. Very comforting this time around knowing I am being checked and in good hands! I've had the unique experience of having jaw surgery twice. I've seen what good care is like vs. ....well, not so great care. Do your research and get a great surgeon. A surgeon that uses the newest technology, will devote the time to your case, has the extensive experience to tackle even the toughest problems, and genuinely cares about his work and his patients. I can't recommend Dr. Karas enough. He didn't have to step up to the plate and take on a case like mine. He did, and his work continues to exceed my expectations. I can never thank him enough, so least I can do is make sure people hear my experience and consider him for their oral/maxfac needs! If anybody is interested in seeing full details on the case and Dr. Karas's amazing work, feel free to visit my website and reach out to me with any questions: www.confessionsofametalmouth.com

We changed doctors for my son's procedure from my daughters because the previous doc changed his scheduling policy and would not let us schedule the surgery until after we physically had the consult and I wanted the date on the books since summer was running out. They were very thorough in explaining the procedure, risks, pre & post care as well as a detailed explanation of every single charge. Everything was upfront with no surprises. All of the staff and Dr. Rainero had an excellent demeanor with my teen son which put me at ease. Everything went well and he's home resting. The recovery nurse was great, the doc came in to check in with me and my son before we left. I was impressed when the doc called this evening to check in on him personally. I could tell he was on his car speakerphone which shows that his patients matter even on the drive home. Every single person we came into contact in that office was friendly and pleasant. My only complaint would be that there was a bit of a wait to see the doc for both the consult and also the procedure but since everything else was better than expected I felt the full 5 stars were earned.

I was expecting pain during and after the procedure. Usually my jaw aches for days and my neck is sore from holding a position for an hour or so after fillings, so that was what I was expecting. BUT, none of the above happened. Ok, I was still apprehensive of needles, but that quickly changed when I didn't feel any pain during the injections. The exemplary experience started the moment I called and spoke to their kind and professional receptionists. Next came the local anesthetic injections (painless!!), the root canal procedure (again, painless), to Dr. Ho's postoperative call the next day (to check on how I was doing), I was simply blown away by how warm, knowledgable, and caring the entire team was. 24 hours after my procedure, besides a bit of expected soft tissue soreness, I'm feeling great. No sore jaw or neck!! Kinda blows my mind, that I'd had a root canal without pain, and recovering with minimal discomfort, without the need for ibuprofen. He's got awesome skills, that Dr. Ho. He took his time to explain the procedure and discussed my root anatomy while looking at my xray. He took his time to take an excellent history of duration of tooth pain by asking pertinent questions, and made sure I was comfy (bite block for jaw comfort, neck pillow for neck comfort) before he started. I was so relaxed during the procedure that I even noticed how polite he was to his assistant, always saying please and thank-you when he asks for various instruments. No pomp, no arrogance. My respect for him expanded exponentially thereafter. Being a good human being trumps being a great doctor, and it's not everyday that you get to meet someone who is both those things.
