The Malia flutter luxe is such a quick application time. Bryan recd training on these new extensions and provided me with a lot of info on them. I had Bryan do these extensions to my hair a couple weeks ago and I love them. I have asked him a million and one questions and he has been so patient. I would never go to anyone else. So I set my sights on finding a salon and stylist to help me. Thank goodness for reviews on Yelp! Andrea did the impossible. 8" or more shorter, scissor cut dry to see how my hair changed, and voila! Not only a stylish cut and look, but it's one I can maintain easily at home (tested by pool and later shampoo). I'm getting compliments from everyone. Trust yourself to their care as I watched as other patrons of the shop receive equally great cuts.

Stylist was pretty quiet and not interested in making even a little small talk, so the entire encounter was awkward. We discussed a long bob with a little light layering. I ended up with something similar to The Rachel which has some pretty heavy layers, not mention 15 years out of style.

I have had extensions for over 7 years and have never had an experience like this one. I gave the stylist 3 chances to fix my hair, and each time they fell out. After my third visit that I again had to sit there and take time out of my work day so it could be "fixed" they fell out less than 48 hours later. At that point I politely requested a refund, as it was clear they did not know what they were doing. Mel the owner refused due to "policy" which I was never made aware of. Never in my life have I been spoken to as a client, like Mel spoke to me. She was incredibly rude and antagonistic. At no point did the stylist or owner apologize for the issues with my hair. Mel didn't even reach out to discuss the issues I was having or apologize for the incredibly poor experience. I had to contact the salon directly to get her to call me. Instead, Mel told me that "they don't offer IBE as a service" even though I texted the salon number directly to confirm they did and was scheduled with the stylist. Instead, Mel told me I was taking money out of the stylists paycheck if she refunded me. Sounds like she should rethink her business practices if you can't refund a client for shoddy work. I would be absolutely ashamed as an owner if a client was walking around town with her extensions completely falling out. I sent photos to the stylist who previously did my extensions and she told me they were very clearly installed incorrectly. My other stylist also looked up HFOS in the IBE certification data base and no one at the salon is certified in this service. They shouldn't be offering it. I told this to Mel and she said "no one in the area is certified", which is also not true. I now have to pay to go to my old stylist to have this completely redone with absolutely no compensation from the salon. The only thing I was offered was to come in again for a FOURTH time to have someone else take a look. I refuse to let a stylist who is not certified in this method touch my hair again. I expect that there is damage to my extensions due to the inappropriate application. My holiday photos are ruined, because my certified stylist cannot get me in before them. I would think incredibly hard before going to this salon and giving the owner who clearly cares nothing about her customers appearance or business.

I had met Dawn through a few friends who said she was wonderful, so I thought I would give it a try! When I first pulled up to the building I was a little apprehensive, because the outside looks small and older. However, upon entering I was pleasantly surprised! The inside was light, open and smelled wonderful! Dawn's room was upstairs, so be prepared for a couple steps! Dawn was so sweet, gentle and kind! She was patient with me helping me decide on the color to choose, and whether I wanted gel or regular. She was so thorough in describing each of my options! I have had quite a few manicures, but never one as relaxing, luxurious and friendly as this one! It was like a spa treatment! She not only painted my nails but massaged my hands, fixed my cuticles, exfoliated my hands and arms and then moisturized! The pedicure looks like it would be even more relaxing - there was a huge chair and all types of fun stuff! I will have to go back for that soon! The room smelled of lavender, there was gently music playing, happy posters and sayings on the walls, and at the end she gave me the buffer and nail file, which was very sweet. Dawn was so wonderful and thoughtful that she even walked me all the way out to my car and buckled me in so I wouldn't hurt my nails! If you are looking for a lovely, relaxing nail treatment I highly recommend Dawn at Studio B, she will make your day 100 times better!
