Since the destruction of the Hanna Bar and Cafe to the west, the Sagebrush Inn and Cafe seems to be the only place in the valley to get a prepared meal. I opted for the special of the day, a bacon cheeseburger with "English Chips". The burger was average with pre prepared beef patties and lettuce pickles onions and tomatoes on the side. The English chips to be honest weren't very good. But my friend had their regular fries which are quite tasty. I'll get those next time. My burger came with a small bowl of potato ham soup that was very tasty. This is a real community gathering place with many locals eating there. Fun to chat and get to know some of them. The owner, Charlie is a fixture in the community and a t-shirt for sale says that the place has been in business for over two decades. The interior decor is truly rural American with signs posted which show a clearly independent libertarian streak that is common in the valley where ranching and hunting are a way of life. It's worth stopping in and supporting this establishment for a truly local Uinta Basin experience. read more
