Sadly, I chose this place based on the reviews. I asked her to do classic deluxe which I never heard of but I get classic lashes . The burning throughout the entire procedure caused such pain and my eyes to tear through the entire time. That has never happened in my 5 years of lashes. The pain was unbearable but I pushed through. She later explained to me she places extensions under the lashes rather than on top as most lash people. And she shared that people who visit her complain of irritation. She never said that at beginning My lashes looked horrible, they looked plastic and very stiff. They felt uncomfortable for at least 3 days. I noticed when I went home there were clumps of many extensions attached to 1 lash and so messy with so much glue that I was never able to comb them as I do daily. Many of my lashes were folded and glued onto other clumps . The worst experience in my life. I went back to my original lady and told me there were definitely NOT classic and damaged a few of my lashes . Please do your research. I don't know how they have such good reviews. Looked like my 10 year old did my extensions

Then my eyes were burning the entire time --this doesn't happen with the place I normally go to and I had to keep asking her to put the fan on my eyes. Lastly, she tried to charge me for a deluxe but I didn't ask for a deluxe and it wasn't even a deluxe bc I probably would've paid for it but she said oh I did deluxe but won't charge you. Knowing full well it wasn't a deluxe. In fact it was less full than my regular set I get normally.

I had never gotten my lashes done prior to The Butterfly Effect's services. Elisea was super sweet and patient with me when I had my initial install done. I don't like to sit for more than 20mins so that was a personal struggle for me. However, I ended up falling asleep on the table I was so comfortable. My first install lasted about 6-8weeks that with me constantly messing with my face (between masks, make-up and normal wear). The second time I got my lashes done I showed her which style I wanted ( a more full- voluminous look) and she gave me exactly that! Elisea has been doing my eyelashes for a couple of months now and I love them I use get clusters that ripped my lashes off but these extensions look natural and look soon much better than the lashes I was getting before. Plus the in home service is soo lovely and at no additional charge I will be coming to her until i stop getting lashes lol. She has great prices too really competitive to the salons in the valley. I bought a Groupon for a full set of faux mink lashes and set up an appointment via the online system. That was easy enough. I get here and the suite number is not what it's supposed to be. Then I get into the actual suite and Mercedes greets me, but not in a super friendly manner. I told her what I wanted, something natural but with some dramatic flair and even showed her photos of what I wanted. She assured me it would look great and actually even better than the photo that I showed her. We proceeded to start and she commented on how short my lashes were to which I replied, "Yes, I know. That's why I'm getting extensions." Then, she was like I have to put tape on your lower lashes because they are so short and the pad won't work. I'm like cool, whatever works. She said she would use the "mink" lashes that she showed me which seemed fine, and we started the process. She kept trying to upsell me on buying a $75 upgrade to make my lashes pop. I'm like nah, that's fine, let's just see how these look. Why the F would I need to upgrade $75 when I purchased a full set? Like, seriously? Anyway, she applied the lashes and kept saying over and over HOW SHORT MY LASHES WERE. It's like I know lady, but you don't need to be rude and keep commenting on them like it's the worst thing in the world. Also, she kept sighing and seemed to be exasperated. I asked her if she had a long day and she was just like yeah. Okay great! I get it, you're tired, but you have a customer and you shouldn't be acting like you're doing her a favor when she paid money and is spending time here to enjoy your services. An hour later we were done and she gave me the mirror so I could inspect them. They were crooked and not even all the way across my lash line. I asked her to fix the right side and she said, "Yeah, let me see if I can find some lashes to stick them on." Wow. Okay, way to make someone feel great about themselves. She added a couple more lashes, and they looked better, but still looked weird and just uneven and she seemed impatient to go home, so I was like F it, maybe they will get better in time. I gave her a tip and then went on my way. I get home and the lashes started falling off and irritating my eyes to the point where my eyes are burning. Not to mention, the lashes themselves are SUPER HARD and plastic feeling, like definitely NOT MINK. I was so pissed at how terrible they looked that I spent 45 minutes removing them. It was a painful process and I ended up losing my real lashes and now look like a damn alien. But, they look better without the clumpy looking fake ass lashes she put on. Never again will I go back there. Save yourself the money and time and avoid. I'm going to get my money back from Groupon. What a disaster.

When you enter its a quiet and empty lobby. Suite 103 is right at the entrance, I knocked several times, no answer. I called, no response. I waited 10min and kept knocking until finally another lady told me that it was actually upstairs in suite 200. I was so worried because now I was 10min late but when I entered she was still working on someone so I started my 12:15pm appt at 12:40pm. First impression wasnt great but since the place was so nice, I still was positive. She asked if I ever had lashes which I did, Ive been getting lashes for 3yrs now at Peniel Lashes (Amazing btw) but they moved downtown which is kinda far for me. I showed her how I normally get it which is a natural look with a wing corner. She emphasized how barely visible it looked and that hers will make me look like I already have mascara on. She explained that it would be slightly more dramatic but still natural and I was looking forward to a more dramatic look. But it turns out that hers look wayyyy less noticeable, she didnt add enough lashes and the worst part is several lashes fell off after just a few hours! It looks sloppy in my opinion and from now on Ill just make the trek downtown because I didnt think this was worth the price. Maybe its because I used a Groupon she didnt give me the royal treatment. I dont know but I wont be going back...super bummed!

She gave me a CC.. which was still too curly.. , IDk, maybe I'm really hard to understand when i say "i do not want a super curly lash", so I asked her to take them out. I was disappointed but not pressed or mad. During this process.. she got the remover in my eye and it BURNED LIKE HELL, she had to guide me to the utility closet to rinse my eyes bc I couldn't make it to the bathroom. On top of this ... they still made me pay. Pretty ballsy for a company with no terms or return policy. Bc we all know as under California law, merchants are required to clearly post their refund policy unless they offer full cash refund, exchange, or store credit within seven days of the purchase date. Failing this requirement, customers may return goods for a full refund within 30 days of the purchase. But suing isn't my thing, especially for minority owned business. Word of mouth and karma will suffice. So my last experience with them will be just that, MY LAST EXPERIENCE.

I previously had winged eyeliner done by someone else, but I wanted to get top and bottom eyeliner done. Ranosha's advertisement popped up on my Facebook and I contacted her right away. I had my top and bottom eyeliner done. She numbed my top lash line and bottom lashline, then went to work. You can feel the vibrations but if it gets uncomfortable, you can tell her and she will give you more anesthesia cream. I was pleased with the result because it looked natural. I came back today, a month later and she did my brows. I had my brows initially done by someone else and she moved far away so I was looking for someone in my city. Ranosha did a great job with my eyebrows. She reshaped them a little more curvy because the original shape made me look angry. She also reshaded them dark brown instead of black because after four years, my initial eyebrow shading had faded to gray. She does such a great job and I really like how everything turned out. I am also very happy with her pricing because I believe it is fair. What you see in her advertisement is what you get. You don't pay anything more. Of course I did leave her a tip because she did such a great job. She is so pleasant and her salon is small but comfortable. I highly recommend anyone who wants to get natural looking eyeliner and beautiful browse done. Since I had my eyeliner done, I haven't put anything else on my eyes other than mascara now with improved eyebrows I feel more dressy and more put together. Thank you Ranosha!

Dani is the most dedicated to her craft, I can't…read morethink of another lash artist who excels in everything that she has to offer, she's perfected her specialty curl sets on me & I can always trust her eye for styling any set she wants to do on me. She's done my brow lamination & lash lift as well as provided any information on lash education that I can always go to her for. I'm so happy I discovered her when I did, shes truly amazing and till this day grows and grows into the lash world. I can't think of a single better trainer either, she sets the BEST example in a lash educator as most people think they can scam lash apprentices with a 1 day crash course and certificate. We need more of what Dani has to offer has she undoubtedly CARES for her craft. Truly love her and her work !!
