I've used their service twice because they were the only company around Valley Stream that would deliver COD and at smaller quantities. But here's the difference, I called them at night and asked if they could be there by the next morning. Of course I paid more than if I were a contracted account, but they definitely accommodated me. On the first delivery, it was something like 100 gallons...but on the second one, and it was the day before closing...he helped deliver 25 gallons. Since we moved into our new home about a year ago, we've been using Sage Oil. Their website sold me. Its a great and easy website to use. Once you set up an account, its super easy to continue ordering oil. I get an email and text messages with updates on my oil deliveries. They are quick too. Very reliable. They even send reminder emails of when you may need more oil, which has been helpful. I ordered oil this morning and was promised delivery today. When I called and spoke to John, the manager, he rectified the issue immediately and compensated for the issue. A very good company. I get to talk to the same person on the phone every time I call and there is no run around. Clearly much cheaper than other companies who forces you to sign a contract. I ran out of oil during an extremely cold period in January in New York. The temperature was supposed to go down to 18 degeees F. That evening. After calling my usual oil delivery company, I was told they couldn't deliver for 3 days! Even after letting them know that I had an elderly relative living in the home and speaking to a supervisor, it did no good. I called Sage oil, who i had never even used before, and got an oil delivery in 2 hours! I would highly recommend this company. They saved me that day! I usually don't write reviews (0 reviews in 10 years) but felt that I should on this one. Lots of people only write reviews when they are not happy. I want to do the opposite. I found the company while searching online for a heating oil delivery service. Most companies require you to fill out a relatively detailed profile to get a quote after they contact you. This one only requires you to provide your zip code + email AND then gives you instant access to their current prices. Prices get lower as you order more and their prices are very fair. I ordered online on Christmas day late afternoon and paid via cc. For the order itself, I had to register and provide more detailed info about address and where the tank is located on the premise. The next day I got an email at around 6:17 AM that my ordered has been scheduled for delivery for the same day. At about 7:30 AM their truck was already filling my tank. They filled exactly what I ordered and were done within a few minutes. No ringing the bell to wake me up - they simply left a delivery slip in the mailbox. A few hours later I got an email with a delivery confirmation. I seldom had such a straight forward service. Everything was right, I couldn't imagine a better experience. read more
