He came out relatively quickly and did a site visit to give me a bid although the day after he said he would initially be out which caused me to change plans and use two days to get bid. The bid was very reasonable - about an acre for 120 + grass removal. I accepted and he said he would be back Thursday or Friday the next week. Both days came and went then I got a message that he would be there Saturday... I was supposed to be off the 2 days he told me to expect him but was working on Saturday. When I came home the lawn still was not mowed. I then got a text and he said I hadn't accepted the invoice he had sent me via text. I told him I didn't know I needed to and asked about some extra charges on the invoice - as it turns out he accidentally added taxes for a few different locales on my bill. The bill was corrected and I accepted the invoice. He (or an employee) showed up to mow - almost 2 weeks after the initial bid and a week after the first scheduled time - but didn't bring their riding lawn mower and only finished about a third of the yard due to grass height. He notified me of the issue, told me he would be out the next day with his rider to finish. He did finish mowing the yard but since he was charging extra for grass removal he sent me a message saying he got all the grass up that his rider would pull up. I thought that was odd... I waited to pay until I saw the yard - and his assessment that he got everything up that could be was not true. There were sections of the lawn that looked almost raked and other sections that were thick with grass and without tire tracks through it. It obviously had NOT been driven over. I messaged him with pictures and said either to remove the grass removal fee or come back out and finish the job. He sent me a new invoice with a reduced amount and no further communication. I saw the other reviews, I understand the nature of the work and how things may need to be fluid as far as dates/times. I even would have been fine if he had simply said that he would come back out and finish picking up the grass... and I would have given him another shot. But collectively the missed dates for the bid, missed dates for the mowing, the first trip out being unprepared - despite having seen and bid the job, failing to finish picking up the grass and finally not coming out and finishing the grass removal - I just cannot do business with this kind of performance.. and I really wanted to. He did remove the grass removal fee, that was a positive...I regretfully cannot recommend this company and will be looking again.

They cut down the tree and hauled it away. Then they found the wires and pipes. Then they used a track hoe to dig up the tree roots. It was huge mess but they hauled it all away. They also dug up a really big flower bed. They moved valve boxes, augmented the soil, and planted bulbs. They smoothed the patio area and filled it with layers of gravel and sand. They measured the grade and made a plan for drainage. They brought blocks and caps and pavers from a local source. They built the steps, carefully fitting together the corner joints. Then they built the walls and glued down the caps. To place the pavers, they started with a circle and wove a pattern around it. They added a border in a contrasting shade. To make the pavers fit together, they had to cut each one with a heavy saw. Every piece had to be measured and marked and cut. They did it with teamwork and rapid precision. They sanded the floor with polymeric sand to seal it. Then they helped me move the furniture and hang the artwork. The project took less than a month. Every day they left the work site as neat as a pin. I paid them very well for doing this work and you should too.

Requested weeding, mulching, and trimming of shrubs, got invoiced for mulching and trimming, so that is what they did, so that's my fault that they didn't weed. Quality of work is subpar. Low attention to detail. Not great listeners even when talking prior to work being done m like when I asked them to not trim a specific section, but add mulch still. Uneven trimming of shrubs, mulch on shrubs and not under the actual shrubs. They were responsive, but that's the only thing good about them. Just wait for Olivia to respond to this with specific things like "look at your compost bin and cameras, we clean", despite there being noticeable trimmings leftover. PS. 'The Pink Guys LLC' is not a registered business in Washington state. Edit: as you can see the response from the owner. The guy didn't bring enough mulch so he spreads it thinly and then lies about what i said. Said cutting the neighbors shrub was a curtesy when I asked for it before invoice was created, but since they chose not to put it in the invoice, it's not their problem. I met with him once, then before I left to soccer practice, and asked him to trim the top cuz he didn't, despite my invoice stating he would trim. He was too lazy to bring out the ladder... I don't have your number bud.. only your wife's. Nevertheless, you definitely need someone supervising you every 10 minutes because there is a standard procedure of putting tires on a car correctly, not just hand tightening them... let my photos speak for itself... lol

There were a few areas where I didn't want plants disturbed and they totally honored that. The price was very fair and I'm so glad I hired them for my job. Our assigned estimator Kimball came by for the initial walk through on July 3rd. We walked the property and I pointed out areas that we wanted cleared and bark added to suppress new growth. He left us with a video of him walking the property and shortly thereafter we had an estimate. My wife and I reviewed it, and wanted to see what it would cost to add landscaping fabric and rocks to some of the areas on the initial estimate. I responded to Kimball and he asked for a Google image of the home with the areas we wanted the work done marked. I then sent him the requested materials via a color coded aerial image. Kimball then asked to come out for a second look to make sure his measurements were correct. I was unable to accompany him for that walk, but he did do the checkup. We had a second open ended estimate shortly thereafter showing what the added rocks and fabric would run per square yard. We then decided on just doing bark (simplest install) - no landscaping fabric or rocks, but in all of the same areas marked on the aerial photo. To be doubly safe, I sent him a second aerial photo marking where we wanted the bark. Kimball's final estimate included a breakdown of what 4 yards, 6 yards, 8 yards or 10 yards bark would cost to procure and install. He told me that they would start at 6 yards with our property per his assessment, and if more were needed, they would request the additional amount day of the job. 7/25/26. The day of the job. Lee's arrived, I walked the grounds with the foreman and they got to work. Late in the day, I got a call from Kimball saying that the 6 cubic yards of bark he'd ordered wasn't enough to cover everything and that they needed another 2 cubic yards to the tune of several hundred dollars to complete all areas we wanted covered. I agreed to the up charge and Lee's crew completed the job. About 10 days went by, and our very nice looking yard started to sprout weeds all over the place. Naturally, I was expecting to see obvious weed growth here and there pop up, but this seemed like a lot. Regardless, I got to work pulling the weeds every 3-4 days or so, added some more bagged bark I purchased from Carpenitos here and there, and as I tackled each section of the yard on various days. Then, they exploded. By the 6th week, we were overrun and I couldn't keep up. I did some checking, and found that for successful weed suppression, you need at least 3-4 inches of bark coverage to prevent light from reaching the newly cleared topsoil. Lee's quote stated they they lay down "at least 2-3 inches" of bark - not the gold standard 3-4 inches, but fairly adequate. So, I got out there with a yardstick and started measuring. Low and behold, most of the front and back yard had as little as 1/2 an inch to 1.5 inches bark coverage. The areas I'd hit with bags as I weeded were barely pushing 2 inches, which means they too were initially VERY thin. I then photo'd the explosion of overgrowth and sent it to Lee's general email with a concerned message attached. Kimball replied to the message, but he refused to acknowledge any error had been made on his part or Lees in terms of the estimated coverage vs. completed work. Ultimately, he refused to remedy the situation without charging us thousands of dollars more. We went back and forth multiple times via email, and he would not budge - not even to cover labor only to rake back, and remove the overgrowth. He also refused to connect me to a senior manager or owner - eg: a 3rd party in the company whom could objectively review the situation, stating that he was a manager and partial owner and in charge of our estimate. We were charged over $3200.00 after tax for the job. It will likely cost us thousands of additional dollars to remedy the overgrowth resultant of Lee's error, and for which they refuse to acknowledge or accept responsibility. I'm personally kinda shocked considering their reputation and long standing place in the community. We used their services for lawn mowing and occasional yard work in Seattle many years ago without issue. My how times have changed.
