They were…read moreable to clean out a lot of mud/roots, etc. but were not able to get their snake more that 4 feet into the underground pipe, possibly because of some sort of T junction. We then went to plan B, which was to install a new underground pipe with a "popup" to disperse the water onto the driveway. The installation looks very good, but the true test will come when we have a heavy rainstorm. The reason why I gave only 4 stars was because of their arrival time. They had an arrival window of 12:00 noon - 4:00 pm but they showed up just after 10:00 am! Fortunately, we were available at that time (and not out walking the dog). My experience with most contractors is that they will call or text to let you know when they're on the way and give you an ETA - I received neither. Again, the quality of their work appears top-notch, but the lack of timely communication should be addressed.

After several incredibly stressful days without water, I cannot recommend Brian Clarke highly…read moreenough. Our water went out unexpectedly due to what we believed was a major well failure. With a large three-story home, multiple bathrooms, an indoor pool, extensive plumbing, and a complex well system serving the property, we feared the worst. We even had other professionals come out, and while they were courteous and tried their best, no one could pinpoint the problem. Brian arrived, immediately approached the situation with confidence, experience, and professionalism, and quickly identified that the primary issue was a leak in our irrigation system along with a pressure tank that needed replacement. Thanks to his expertise, he had our water restored that same day so our family of five--including my young grandson--could make it through the weekend. He then returned exactly as promised, replaced the pressure tank, completed the repairs, and had everything operating perfectly. What impressed me most wasn't just his technical ability--it was his character. Brian genuinely cared about getting our family back on our feet. He never made us feel like just another customer, and it was obvious his priority was solving the problem, not maximizing the bill. His pricing was incredibly fair, especially considering the complexity of the work and the time he invested. In a world where trust and craftsmanship can be difficult to find, Brian Clarke stands out as someone who truly earns both. His knowledge, honesty, work ethic, and commitment to doing the job right are exceptional. I would recommend him without hesitation to any family, homeowner, or military member looking for someone they can completely trust. Thank you, Brian, for restoring more than our water--you restored our peace of mind. A & C Miller

The work was much more than a mow and rake, we needed vegetation removed, or relocated, had a lot of in-ground concrete that had to go, etc. YDR completed everything asked of them. The only rub is that I could have used a little more communication as scope adjustments happened in relation to cost, but this is not unique to YDR, and there were certainly opportunities, in retrospect, where I could have begun or clarified those conversations. Overall I recommend YDR without hesitation.

So I decided to use Mint again for landscaping work where I had to install brick and shrubs on my…read morefront porch. When they started the project the day of Halloween, the landscapers showed up very early. It only took a few minutes for them to remove the dead shrubs. At first the front porch looked pretty bad because of the bare porch. The next day, landscapers returned to apply more sod and start the brick work. When they laid the brick, my porch started to look more even. The shrubs like blue fescue, lavender, fountain grass and azalea were installed. Once that was done, mulch was applied to the porch and side yard. Everything was basically complete except for a couple boulders to be installed. Unfortunately it did take a couple weeks for it to arrive. I emailed Josh(owner of Mint Landscapes) checking on the status, and the boulder was installed the very next day. Now my front porch looks AMAZING!! My neighbors always compliment me about my porch. I'm extremely happy about the work they did. Although Mint is not the cheapest in the area, they do provide excellent work and are very courteous. I'd highly recommend them.
